I feel like a fool. I've only had one other experience with a clogged drain to go by - it took a long time. Roto Rooter quoted me $419.00 and I was dumb enough to go for it. Took less than an hour. I repeat - $419.00. One hour. They have you sign at the beginning. They are evil people.

The serviceman showed up on time, installed the bib, and has worked fine for over 8 months.

Came out next day, accomodated change in window, on time good job. Plumbers are expensive but for, over 3 hrs. or so not too bad.

Van from Roto Rooter showed up to my house at 6:30 on a Friday night and saved our entire house (including separate tenant downstairs) from going without water. The main water shutoff to our house had a faulty valve and when I closed it earlier that day, it wouldn't reopen. I called Roto Rooter and they had somebody out within about two hours. The job was made more complicated by a 100 year old house whose copper pipes were bent. He was able to skillfully install a new valve and did so with a friendly and professional attitude. I would definitely recommend him in the future. The price was $607 but it involved cutting and soldering parts of the pipe, the new one inch valve (which Home Depot doesn't carry because it's a special commercial-sized valve), and having a plumber at my house within two hours to fix a major problem. Overall I paid a premium for immediacy and convenience but yes, it was both worth it and fair.

Not good. While the technician was timely and friendly, that was the only good part of the experience. I had intended to do this project myself but decided I would hire a "pro" to get it done quickly. It was anything but quick. The technician didn't understand what I wanted or how to achieve it. I had to continuously oversee and give him guidance. When he was done, the vanity could not go all the way against the wall, and the supply lines were too close to the drain line making it hard to connect the supply's hoses. He spilled solvents on the floor which I had to scrape from the tile with a razor blade. All in all, it hardly looks like a professional job and I would hesitate before using this company again. Had I been more patient, and not needed this done on a Sunday, I would have called someone else.

The only complaint I have was the price was a bit high. However, on everything else they were highly professional, were responsive, knowledgeable, and did a great job. But in the end you do get what you pay for so I'm happy with the service.

The problem was in the main sewer line at the street. WSSC came and cleaned it out, then sent a cleanup crew for the water damage

HUpon arrival, proceeded to site of utility room, assessed problem and got to work. Within an hour he (Jon Diaz) had discovered site of problem and after discussion with me regarding how to resolve problem, got to work. He found two additional problems that need to be addressed, but are not immediate. However, he discussed this problem was two breaks in a main pipe and should be addressed. Left me a proposal, which I intend to consider. This technician was polite, knowledgeable, and completely professional in his attitude and demeaner. I feel I completely made the right decision in calling on Roto-Rooter for service.

The first technicians with Roto-Rooter Plumbing and Drain was not able to detect were our drain was clogged and was recommend we have our floors ripped from our basement to resolve the issue for a possible broken pipe. After having our floors ripped, the second technicians came out to our home, he was very knowledgeable, friendly, and confident on how to resolve this issue. He located the issue, unclogged our drains and was fantastic! **Word to the wise** prior to having any floors ripped due to a possible broken pipe, make sure you receive a second opinion to verify that in fact that is the cause of the clogged drain.

Three people came to do the work and it took about a day. They area was left clean. They arrived on time. They are very friendly, and helped with some things I needed done at no extra charge. I would recommend them to family and friends. They have a great price.

Kem was very professional and courteous. I received same day but Kem did not arrive within the quoted time period. I did not receive a phone call from a dispatcher until 90 minutes later. I was on the verge of canceling my appointment when I finally received a phone call. From the dispatcher. When Kem arrived he saw my leaking faucet but was unable to make the repair due to not having the parts. He offered to order the parts but was unsure on how long it would take to receive the parts. Kem was able to fix my sump pump which had recently stopped working. He installed the sump pump and rerouted the sump pump pipe to outside. I originally thought this was a great suggestion but I now realize that this might cause issues in the future. It's only been a few hours and my grass is saturated with water. I will be calling the company tomorrow to get the problem solved. I think Kem did a outstanding job though and I would utilize this company again.

They were very prompt, they came when they said they will them, they talked to me nicely.

We had a sink backup and I was able to schedule an appointment online for someone to come over to the house within the hour and in the evening, giving me enough time to get back to the house from work to meet them. I received a phone call within 15 minutes confirming my appointment. When the technician arrived, he reviewed the problem and stated that he would be able to snake it for $399 which I feel is a bit outrageous (we had used a snake the day before and had not found success). After about 40 minutes, our tech Jamaal was able to resolve the issue. Jamaal was very professional, courteous and responsive and we'd recommend using him in the future!

I was exhausted when I arrived home to find a plumbing problem after 11 pm at night. My downstairs toilet had sewage backing up to the rim even though I had not flushed it and water coming up in the shower stall. We had a snow storm due the next day and I was afraid to use my toilets or run water until I had this problem solved. I was fearful that my lower level might end up flooded. I called Roto Rooter and they promised to have someone respond within two hours even though it was almost midnight. I was sent a wonderful man, Yung Kim, who could not have been more reassuring, professional and competent. An answer to prayer. He kept telling me not to worry, he would solve my problem and even though he had to end up getting the 250 pound snake and set it up, which involved bringing it through my yard and down a path with bamboo in the dark to the back of the house to enter in the lower level, he remained kind and respectful. He told me he had two elderly grandmothers living in South Korea and he wanted to treat people in a manner that he hoped they would be treated and he did just that. It was not easy for him to get that machine through the house to the bathroom and he did it and told me to just not be anxious. There are no words to express my gratitude for the job he did. He is a tribute to Roto Rooter and his family. I wish every service industry had a man like Yung Kim and everyone could be as pleased as I was to have a huge problem solved before daylight and before the storm arrived. Without him I would not have been able to sleep that night. Many times you do not even get a person when you call a plumber, just a voice recording and they will call you back the next day. I just want to let anyone who is looking for help in this area you will be doing yourself a huge favor if you call Roto Rooter.

I have used Roto-Rooter twice now. They have always been very prompt and professional. I like that they don't gouge you on price for weekend service. They charge by the job (instead of by the hour) and give you the quote before the job is started. Denzel called me about 15 minutes prior to showing up in the confirmed two hour window. He quickly diagnosed the problem which was a leaking pipe embedded in our basement ceiling. He had to cut away the dry wall (which was soaked), but was very neat in cleaning everything up. Once described and showed me the problem before fixing it. After the leaking pipe was fixed, he showed me the finished work before wrapping up. I won't hesitate to use this branch of Roto-Rooter in the future.
