Carlos was able to repair the misaligten hinges on the door which corrected the proplem.

Had a variety projects that needed attention - broken 4X4 posts caused the backyard fence to lean badly, wood rot on the front door frame, removal of satellite dish/roof repair, as well as reattachment of metal roof over bay window, and replacement of several flush mount light fixtures inside. Carlos and crew did it all! They walked me thru process so I understood what work needed to be done and provided a thorough written estimate. They arrived on time and got right to work. Each task was completed thoroughly and professionally. The repair work on the front door was especially outstanding! The rotted wood was replaced and the entire frame was recaulked and painted - looks fabulous!! The fence is study and straight, I couldn't be happier. They were especially careful to avoid damage to my flowers, plants and koi pond. They also cleaned everything up at the end of the day. Liked them so much I plan using them to replace my roof.

Decided to go with another contractor, but the company was very professional and responsive. Provided a free estimate. Will definitely consider for future projects.

Carlos was wonderful to work with. He was very responsive and was quick to come out to provide an estimate once I contacted him. It was very easy to schedule a day for him to do the repair work once I decided his estimate was the best I'd received. I felt very comfortable having him and his assistant in my house - they were friendly, very neat and incredibly efficient. They showed up exactly when they said they would with all of the materials they would need. When Carlos went to purchase the new vanity from Home Depot, he called me to discuss colors and sent photos to make sure I was happy with the direction we were going. Since they finished my first project so quickly, I asked if they had time to look at my leaky outdoor faucet. Carlos identified what was needed, went out and bought the parts, and fixed that too - all by 3pm!

Work was done roughly a week after they gave me a quote. The price was very fair compared to others and the quality of the work was excellent. They removed and replaced one side of the 6ft pine fence at my townhouse. I'd definitely hire them again.

Carlos re-caulked a shower, replaced ceiling drywall, and repainted the ceiling. He even came out to re-re-caulk after I noticed the shower head dripped onto the wet caulk. Moreover, he was extremely responsive by phone and text. And Beyond that, it was beyond refreshing to find a contractor who treated my home like his own.

Carlos and his helper arrived on time and the work was done quickly, only delayed due to some touch up painting and subsequent drying. The work was great! We are really satisfied and will used Metro Home Improvement again. Additionally, Carlos and his assistant cleaned up immaculately. 100% happy with this company and the service.

After the horrible wind storm in March, I found myself with many shingles missing from my roof. Carlos and his team did a fantastic job replacing my roof. Carlos assisted me in picking a color for the shingles. He and his team started at around 7 am and were completely finished by 3pm. My yard was cleaner than they found it and my flower beds were untouched. The roof looks great!! We are now discussing new shutters, new paint colors and a fence. Oh and did I mention that he did a great job on a kitchen remodel for me a year or so ago? I highly recommend Metro Home Improvement for all of your remodeling needs!

Carlos gave me a quick estimate. We agreed on a price and the scope of work. He came over on the morning we specified, and the job was done professionally in under an hour.

A water pipe burst on the second story of my home. We were out of town when the pipe froze and burst and water damaged bedroom, closet, and hallways on the second story and seeped down interior walls to the main floor. The ceiling on the main floor fell down and water covered the floor and furniture. Metro Home Improvements was assigned the task of replacing all the drywall to the walls and ceiling on the main floor, as well as replacing dry wall in closets and door frames that had warped on the second floor. All surfaces in the family room and upstairs were repainted. The work was done to my total satisfaction. It was very professional and of the highest quality. Metro Home Improvements worked diligently to complete the work in a timely manner. The work site was always cleaned-up and waste removed at the end of each day.

I contacted Carlos at Metro Home Improvement by phone over a week ago and told him of the work I needed to get done. He indicated it shouldn't be a problem and said he could come out anytime the following week and give me an estimate. Afterwards, I sent him a few text messages stating the specific time and date (for Tuesday, Nov. 28th), and a few days later he sent me a message asking for my address. Since we had established an early morning time for the appointment, on Tuesday morning I called Carlos to see if he was on his way, as I noticed it was very close to the appointment time. Carlos eventually answered his phone and informed me that he was halfway across town (in DC) at an appointment and that he wouldn't be able to get over to my place in time. He also told me that he thought the appointment was for 12p (noon), although we clearly had never discussed that. Because both the work and time were important, I asked Carlos when is the earliest he could come and he told me possibly later that evening. I said the evening would be fine, as long as he got to my place by 8p. He said he had another appointment fairly nearby that afternoon, but would call me around 5p to let me know what time he would be coming by. However, I never received any calls or messages from Carlos that afternoon or evening, and although I tried calling him several times and sent him a few text messages to confirm, he did not answer his phone. Furthermore, he did not return my calls nor respond to any of my messages. Although I saw that Carlos was rated very high on Angie's List, my experience with him was very disappointing. It appears that he is very disorganized and unreliable. Also, he appears not to have or understand even basic or rudimentary professionalism - particularly to be in a business that is sales oriented and driven by recommendations. There is just absolutely NO EXCUSE for missing appointments without even contacting a potential customer, nor not answering your phone or returning a customer's calls or attempts to contact you and not responding to the customer's messages. It almost appears (at least ostensibly) as though Carlos at Metro Home Improvement was deliberately avoiding me or was not looking for new business or potential customers...basically it was just inexplicable and beyond me. At any rate, I definitely would not be calling him back nor recommending him to anyone - whatever the actual quality of his work may or may not be. Basic customer service, professionalism and respect ALWAYS comes first in any sales or service profession, and apparently Carlos is either unaware of that or just does not care about it!!

Carlos was great to work with, he was professional and responsive. Our roof is very big so it took a few days but they were there on time and working hard every day. His team did a great job on the roof and cleaned up nicely afterwards.

Carlos did a fabulous job for us. When I originally called for a quote, he answered the phone on the first ring and arranged a time to come by and give us a quote based on our schedule. We accepted his quote, got HOA approval, and then scheduled the work. He arrived exactly on time and completed all of the work in two days. His workmanship was outstanding and he took the time to explain every step of the process. I will definitely call him again for any home repairs or improvements we need in the future.

The work went really well and very pleased with the results. Both doors open and close cleanly and it looks really good. Very easy to coordinate with Carlos and his team on picking up the doors and working around the weather to get the job done.

The floor supports seem very good. The deck looks way better than it did 5 years ago when I bought the house. The concrete column will be fine although the hand mixed concrete was not stirred after pouring which left a fist size cavity from an air bubble.

Vendor had to move electric wiring to hook up new range hood and pulled it up throughout the drywall leaving a 24 inch jagged hole in the wall. Vendor didn't offer to fix what he created.

They graciously touched up a few areas that needed attention, even though these tasks were not included in the scope of work. The team cleaned up the property every day, and the work was finished on time. The team paid attention to even the smallest details, and the result was terrific! After talking with multiple contractors who each tried to quote completing my entire house, despite me telling them I wanted everything quoted individually, with prioritization on the worst parts. I did not have the finances to do everything. Carlos was a pleasant surprise. He just quoted the work I asked for him to do at a reasonable price. As a result, I had him quote a little bit of additional work which he did as well. He had no problems with me supplying the paint and everything went smoothly. The work looked great.
