So far, we've been very pleased with the work that Carlos and his crew, such as Melvin, have done here. All the work we've asked Carlos to do has been done well and in a timely manner, with him usually letting me know when he'll be arriving and also keeping us informed when he's delayed or can't make it over that day. Overall, Carlos seems to bring a lot of expertise and experience to bear on virtually every type of home repair and upgrading item I've brought up. Which is a perfect fit for us as no one would mistake me for a DIY'er, and as a co-worker observed once on the subject of home ownership, "There's always something!" As a result, he's made suggestions where appropriate to improve or enhance some of the projects we've wanted done, along with offering solutions to general house problems that come up. And with everything we've needed done so far, Carlos is either doing the work himself or else he's on site supervising the work of a crew member(s), which we find reassuring -like he's not there sitting in an office somewhere while sending a crew out to the house. At this point, we expect to continue calling upon Carlos or Metro Home Improvement for our home maintenance and improvement needs.

We hired Carlos from Metro for drywall repairs, and talking to him about other projects we also hired him to install Cámaras. We are so pleased with the attention to detail! They ran cables and sealed all the holes and patched/ painted everything.

Carlos and his team arrived on time and promptly completed the work. I had 9 windows that needed new shutters and the new ones needed to be mounted to brick. Everything was done fast, perfect, and clean. I've used these guys before and will continue to use them in the future!

Carlos and his team removed the texture from the ceiling on the main level of my house and I can not express how amazing it looks. Carlos regularly does work for me which has included deck work, plumbing, and remodeling of bathrooms. I will be hiring him again, as I always do.

We didn't end up using Metro Home Improvement for the repair that we needed, but Carlos was punctual, responsive, and professional throughout the estimate process. Although we didn't end up using their services, I would definitely consider using Metro Home Improvement for other projects.

Carlos and team were great. This is the second project we’ve hired Carlos for and we are very happy. He’s a really nice guy to work with, and he and his team are efficient and do good work. We wanted the carpet on our stairs and upstairs hallway torn out and replaced with laminate hardwood to match what we have downstairs. They did a very good job with this project and we’re happy!

Carlos at MHI made it very clear that he was willing to fight for the project even with our reservations about the cost. Many of the other quotes were thousands less, but did plan on using cheaper materials. Carlos convinced us that despite the higher up front price tag the materials would far out last the competition and instead of fixing the roof every 15 years, we'd be good for up to 60. He was the quickest to reply and most helpful about explaining his products and process. He wasn't the cheapest by a long shot but the experience and quality of work more than made up for that.

The foreman arrived on time, inspected the work to be done, and purchased the materials. He then scheduled a timely work date on a day I was teleworking. The work crew had the skills and the right tools on their truck to perform the necessary work (unlike many other handymen I interviewed). I would definitely hire Metro Home Improvement again.

The wall was perfectly repaired. There was minimal mess and everything was cleaned up to its original state. The job was also done quickly and efficiently.

Carlos was awesome to work with! As soon as I expressed a need for an estimate, we chatted about the scope of the work and he provided me with an estimate by the end of the day. We were then able to schedule the work within a few days - which was awesome since I really needed timely action. Carlos and his crew were able to finish all of the required work in several hours and the final result was perfect! I couldn't be happier with the entire experience. I was so pleased; I'm planning on using him again in a few weeks to complete another project.

I had 4 very large branches in my backyard that needed to be moved and chopped up. Carlos was very responsive, gave me a good price and was here in less than 24 hours to get the job done.

Metro Home Improvement pluses: Carlos Gonzalez (owner/contractor) is reachable by text, phone and email and provided a written estimate promptly. He and the assistant prepped the area with a drop cloth on the floor, stove and counter top and cleaned up afterwards. I felt confident knowing that Carlos was heading the installation. I also appreciated his attention to detail. When I mentioned other areas needing attention, he had already observed the problems and was willing to discuss possible solutions. Happy client -- the range hood provides a finished look to the kitchen.

Carlos has done several things for me but most recently he remodeled both of my bathrooms. I am extremely happy with the work and the bathrooms are beyond beautiful. There is no doubt that I will hire him to do my next project.

Metro Home Improvement was terrific to work with. When the switch on our dryer broke, we were worried about finding an appliance repair person. Carlos and his team responded to our job posting within the day, ordered the part for us and showed up on time to fix it the next day. They were professional, courteous and very pleasant to deal with. They look like a very skilled team, capable of doing much bigger home projects. I will definitely contact them again for more projects, including a plumbing job.

Carlos, the owner, responded to my inquiry to repaint the door frame and fix and paint the front stair railings. He stopped by to review the work, was very nice and professional. He sent me his charge to do the work and it was reasonable; however the repair and paint of the railing was more than I had anticipated. So I asked if he would be willing to just sand and repaint the exterior door. I knew it was not a big job, so I was not sure if he wanted to take on just that job. He said no problem. I then asked if he would be so kind to draw up a little contract detailing what he was planning to do (I.e., strip, sand and repaint with good exterior paint), as well as when payment was due. Since I requested that, I have not heard back from him. I have contacted him a few times and also asked that if he did not want to do the job, to just let me know so I might move forward. I have heard nothing! I find the follow up very frustrating and disappointing. I am starting to feel that not even handymen want to take on doing small jobs being requested.
