Description of Work: Had several stumps ground. The guy who came was great: prompt and efficient. I had some trouble scheduling the visit after buying my coupon, which is why I gave a lower grade for responsiveness.

Description of Work: We had to have some limbs removed on some of our trees. They cleaned out the majority of the vines in the trees. I wished I could give them an A+. We have used them before and their service is excellent. They are very contentious about doing what we wanted as well as cleaning up. They were focused on not doing damage to other plants as well. Their employees listen very carefully and they would always check with us to see if they were doing what we wanted.

Description of Work: Had them remove a dead maple tree and grind the stump and surface roots. Crew showed up on time and did a very professional job. Especially good cleanup. Would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: Removed stumps from our yard after we had some trees removed. They did a great job and the were the least expensive quote among three vendors. Also, they removed the chips and planted a new tree. Most of the vendors queried did not remove the chips.

Description of Work: Amazing service and professionalism. I had two large trees removed and six stumps ground in my backyard. Mario came out for the initial assessment and was extremely knowledgable about the many types of trees I have on my property and discussed how to maintain them. Six of the hardest working, professional men showed up and did the job. They hand delivered their license and insurance and went to work. They started at 8:00 am and were driving away by 1:00 pm. I had them haul the trees off the property. They left my backyard in better shape than before they arrived. Very good price...less than 3k plus 10% off for Angie's List members. Definitely recommend this family run business!

+ -1 moreI gave G & V a shot after seeing some good reviews and the fact that they are located in my neighborhood. The estimator showed up on time, did a quick and thorough evaluation of what I needed and I had the official estimate emailed to me that evening. I was at work while the crew was doing their thing but I came home to one less tree with all the wood neatly cut and stacked. The stump grinder came out a few days later to finish up. If you need some tree work done, don't hesitate to give G & V a call.
Description of Work: Remove one large dying oak tree, trim some very high branches overhanging the house on another tree, and grind 2 stumps. Also cut and stack the wood as I wanted it for firewood.

He worked very patiently with me, including helping me to negotiate with my neighbour as some of the trees were in the neighbour's yard. Gary came back about two or three times to review the job. He was very knowledgeable and concerned about the future health of the trees and complying with the wishes of the neighbor in terms of how his trees should be trimmed. When we finally set a date on which the weather was suitable, Gary and his crew arrived on time. They all worked very hard and were very professional. They did exactly what we had planned and Gary was there to ensure everything was done right. They also did an extremely thorough clean-up after the work.
Description of Work: Cut back approx 10 tall trees along fenceline (trees actually in neighbor's yard), trimmed another approx 10 trees in the yard and took out 2 trees, including grinding the stumps. Cleaned and tidied up all material that had been cut.
