+ -1 moreThey actually did a great job. They were very easy to talk to. They were really willing to help us and we looked around a lot of different places and they had the best deal around. When the crew came, they were very friendly too, the only issue we had was that they delivered the wrong hardwood floors from the warehouse, so then they had to bring it back and bring the right one, but they still did finish on schedule. The guys were very professional. They had everything done in 3 days. They moved all the furniture and they did everything they said they were going to do on the contract and they finished right on time. I would highly recommend them to others.

+ 1 moreThey're terrific. They clean up after themselves and they don't leave a mess. Marty is a pleasure to work with, he gives a quote and he sticks to it. He shows up on time to do the service. He also has a mobile showroom and brings samples of all of his products. If he doesn't have something specific he'll make an arrangement to bring out additional samples to you. He's very honest, honorable, and ethical. He's a man of his word and very responsive with his services. I trust them to do work even if I'm not home. I highly recommend the service and the company.
Description of Work: I had the company out about 18 months ago to do a wood floor refinishing and staining. I have been using them over the past 17 years. They have also done carpet and hardwood flooring installation throughout my house.

The floor was damaged when I had heating and air conditioning equipment installed in my basement. The guy warned me that it might smell bad a little bit because of his work on the tile, but I wished that he had told me ahead of time that there might be a smell and what it was from; anyway, it was actually not that bad. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

+ 0 moreEntire experience was excellent. Marty was very responsive, gave us a fair estimate for the work, and was quite accommodating when my spouse and I were indecisive about colors. He sent us several samples. We were finally leaning towards one of the colors, our realtor concurred (we're getting ready to list our home for sale), so we placed the order, mailed a check for the deposit, and Marty notified us approx. 10 days after the order that the carpet was here, when do we want it installed? The attached photo shows the finished work in the color "Tea Stain" by Shaw. The installer "Max" and co-worker were friendly, professional, did a superb job and quickly, too. We are completely satisfied with the results, and kind of wished we were hanging around to enjoy it longer! We'll get a few weeks, anyway.
Description of Work: Old carpet & padding removed from rec. room, short hall to powder room+laundry room, and 4 steps. New padding and carpeting installed in these areas.

+ 1 moreI was referred to Marty by my carpet cleaning company (Kingstowne Carpet Cleaners) I needed some advice on a troubled area on my hardwood floors.The boards are separating in one area of our dining room. Marty was very prompt to get back to me and was able to schedule a visit very quickly. He determined we had some water damage that needed to be addressed and then Floorcraft would be able to repair the area. While at my house he took the time to answer my many questions about hardwood flooring and care. He also took measurements of my carpeted areas for future replacement. I was very happy overall.

+ 0 moreWe can't say enough good things about Floorcraft. The work was done on time and at a reasonable price. And more importantly, they laid a beautiful hardwood floor that matched up to the exist floor almost exactly. The only difference is that older floors had slightly wider gaps between the planks but you have get down on your knees to even notice. Per the previous commenter, yes, Marty relies heavily on his foreman, but guess what, his foreman does a great job. And as if this is not enough reason to choose them, we had a refridgerator leak that damaged the new flooring and Marty came through again. They fixed the damaged section PERFECTLY. We absolutely recommend Floorcraft.
Description of Work: Marty's replaced our lino kitchen with hardwood floors matching the hardfloors in the dining room.

+ 1 moreThe head contractor was only briefly at my home and he relied on his forman and his team to do all of the work. The foreman was responsive to any problems that i had. When a different contractor moved the refrigerator accross the floor and left deep scratches they did an good job of repairing the floor. My dog also got locked into one of the rooms with carpet and tore up a section about 2x2 ft and they repaired it with left over carpet and it isnt noticeable. The overall quality is average to above average. I would use the company again but I would make sure to be very specific with my expectations and check in on all phases of the project. I had three contractors working on my house to repair major water damage. of the handyman, painter and floors, I am most happy with the floors.
Description of Work: We had carpeting put in our bedrooms and the basement staircase, hardwood floors and stairs put on the main level and a tile floor put in the basement. We asked and paid to have the floorboards screwed down to eliminate pre-existing squeeks in the rooms that were carpeted. We pointed out the areas that had squeeks. The squeeks remain, of course the contract says no guarantees. We also paid for additional wood for the hardwood floors so that they wouldnt have to use pieces with knots or discolorations. This may have been done but there are still pieces of hardwood that have knots and one pice by the front door with a quater inch long knot that is also about an eighth of an inch deep (so it looks like a poc mark in the floor. The pieces used for the staircase are not the same size which is barely noticeable but aggravating. We asked to have additional sealant put on the floor to help protect against pet stains and this may have been done but i dont notice any benefit. In the basement I bought a special kind of self sealing grout which may have been used but i also dont notice any benefit.
