Description of Work: Mr. Johnson was unable to repair my washer because it was a newer model. He did spend 30 minutes working on it and performing diagnostic tests. I wanted to pay him for his time but he said no because he couldn't help me. I appreciated his honesty.

Description of Work: My refrigerator stopped dispensing water and I called Robert to see if he could fix it. He came out as scheduled, quickly determined the problem, which was a frozen water line due to dirt collecting under the unit, cleaned the underside of the unit, and advised how to maintain the unit in the future. A few hours after he left, the water dispenser line had thawed and it began working properly again, as he advised. | |I was very happy with his work and will use him again if I have large appliance problems.

 + -1 moreProbably one of the fastest service calls I've had (about 45 mins). Very professional and efficient about finding and fixing the problem. Sears best appointment was 15 days away. Mr. Johnson came the 2nd day after I called.
Description of Work: Very knowledgeable about dishwasher. Problem was in a wiring connection, which he fixed very quickly.

 + 0 moreI would recommend him to anyone and he gave me a magnet for my fridge so I know who to call from now on.
Description of Work: The service went above and beyond what I expected. I am hosting Thanksgiving this year and the Monday before my dishwasher and stove die! I made it to the store in time Monday night to buy new appliances and be lucky enough to have them delieverd the next day however they would not install my dishwasher and i can't even begin to tell you what was under when I took it out!! I found Mr Johnson on here and was hoping for a miracle that wouldn't cost and arm and a leg. Spoke to him this morning and he was at my house by 1pm to install my dishwasher. He found that my old one wouldn't fit the hole it was in because of the electric box behind it so Mr Johnson moved it for me so the washer would fit! He fixed the drain leading out of the dishwasher because it had been installed incorrectly and why my old one was leaking and just to put the cherry on top he went ahead and screwed on the handle of the dishwasher for me! He is a really nice person and I even paid him extra for doing such a great job!

I called Robert after checking with Angie's List to find appliance repair people in the Stafford area. He agreed to an appointment the next day and quickly found the probelem, did the repair, and left within an hour. Very professional, no-nonsense, competent. I would definitely recommend him to others.

 + -1 moreHe was in and out in about five minutes. It was not a complete surprise that our washer was "done", we would have appreciated a little more information from Mr. Johnson. It is a little frustrating paying $76 for five minutes, but such is life.

He narrowed down the problem with the appliance. I am a do it your self type person, so he had no problem with me ordering the problem part myself and reinstalling it myself. I felt that Mr. Johnson was trustworthy and very personable. I would use his services again.

He assessed that repair costs might not be worth the cost of replacement based on age and type of repair.  + -1 moreMy refrigerator had stopped working. Couldn't reach my regular appliance repair business so based on Angie's list ratings I called Mr. Johnson. I described the symptoms and about an hour and a half later Mr. Johnson arrived. About half an hour after he arrived my refrigerator was working again.
Description of Work: The condenser fan on my refrigerator stopped working. The repair consisted of partial disassembly, removal of shelves and panels to access the fan, removal of the fan mounting and the fan and reinstalling the fan, housing, panels and shelving.

 + 0 moreThe tech who came to my house was prompt and very helpful. I got another 6 weeks out of the dishwasher by being able to reset it. The 2nd call to get an estimate for repair took 2 calls. They were upfront and gave me a firm figure for replacement parts and labor. Unfortunately, the repair cost was about the price for a new dishwasher! The part was very expensive. I ended up getting a new dishwasher.
Description of Work: My dishwasher wasn't working. Tech came the next day. Told me what was wrong (the electrical panel was on the fritz) & showed me how to reset it. When the dishwasher broke for good (I could no longer reset it), it took a couple of calls to get a phone estimate to replace it.

He did offer to come out and do it, but said he'd prefer to save us the service charge if I was willing and able to do it myself. I really appreciated his honesty and integrity. I'd definitely go to him first for a repair that was beyond my capability.
Description of Work: My washing machine was 'walking' and clanking. Initial observation revealed that a suspension spring was loose.

Description of Work: My fridge went day in the evening of the 27th. I called at 9:30am the following morning and spoke with Robert. He said we would be out between 1 - 2pm. He didn't get here until 2:45pm, but he was very nice and went right to work. He tried to replace a part to see if he could get the fridge running but it turns out it was the compressor. I told me it would be cheaper to by a new one than order the compressor. Even though he used a part to try and fix it and spent the time to do it he only charged me the $76.00 service charge and nothing else. He was great and will use him in the furture.

 + -1 moreThe freezer went out so I could not make any ice cubes. He had to replace something like a motherboard behind the speaker. I am not sure if that was a motherboard but all I know is that, he had to replace a little grid like thing. He explained everything during the repair. He is very professional and very reasonable. The one that I have is a 10 year old refrigerator. He would have told me if I had to replace the refrigerator and that is my next plan any which ways. He would clearly explain everything and say if this particular thing comes out or does not work again in the future, then we might have to buy a new one. He is very reliable and dependable. He had been to my house a couple of times before for repairs. He has also fixed my washing machine once before. I would highly recommend them.
