Description of Work: Mr. Johnson diagnosed our icemaker problem, replaced a defective part. It continues to function properly.

Description of Work: The service call was to replace the heating element in our dryer. The old heating element had scorch marks on it, possibly caused by poor ventilation. We fortunate that the dryer did not catch on fire. Mr. Johnson replaced the old heating element with a new one and also gave me the name of a person who would check our dryer vent to insure the ventilation was adequate.

Description of Work: Mr. Johnson replaced a switch in the lid of the washer that went bad. This is the third time I have used Mr. Johnson and I can highly recommend him for ALL your applience repairs.

Description of Work: Refrig suddenly not cooling or freezing well, making noises as if it was trying to start up but having difficulty actually doing so. Mr Johnson came out within an hour of my phonecall. He quickly assessed the situation and explained the problem with a part. He replaced a small part giving further life to the condenser unit and the appliance has been working like a charm since. He was honest and the price reasonable.

Description of Work: He fixed my KitchenAid dishwasher. The top rack was not getting clean, and he found the obstruction and fixed the problem in 15 minutes. Great guy and his fees are reasonable.

Description of Work: Replaced temperature control panel on stove. Replaced dishwasher & hauled off old dishwasher. Dehumidifier not draining correctly diagnosed problem & fixed during same visit. Price included purchase of temperature control panel which |Is expensive.

Mr. Johnson spent some time testing the controls and determined that the control panel would need to be replaced, which would cost almost as much as a new range. He advised that we buy a new one. I was pleased that he only charged a service call, even with all the time he spent on it.

Description of Work: Very nice man! He did a wonderful job fixing our leaking washing machine. He even showed me how to fix it myself next time. Charged a very low price. I think it was only about $75 for over an hours worth of work. No more leaky washer. I would recommend him and use him again.

Description of Work: Mr. Johnson is my go to appliance man. I just joined Angies List and was glad to see him on it and recommended highly. He is a fair guy who did a good job.

Description of Work: Mr. Johnson was called due to our dryer no longer heating. He was able to assess and repair the problem (bad heating element and thermostat in our dryer in less than an hour and a half. He also corrented a wiring problem, fixed the door clip and lint trap pull upon seeing these problems. He was very quick and efficient...had everything he needed even for our old model in tow and fairly priced. Would definitely recommend. He responded to the call within 36 hr!

Description of Work: I called Mr. Johnson and he returned my call 2 days later explaining he was having a problem with his voice mail service. He was extremely helpful and informative. Unfortunately (or fortunately) when he returned my call I had already had a service company out to look at my washing machine. To make a long story short, he explained the problem (exactly what the service man had said for a $69.95 service call) that there was probably something stuck in the washer, maybe a sock, that was causing it not to work. The service company would have to order a new part instead of just removing the obstruction. My husband took this advice and removed and cleaned the part and out it back in. The washer has been working fine ever since. Mr. Johnson was honest and offered to come out if I needed further assistance. (Mr. Johnson is "old school". He does not have a web site or email address and has heard he was on Angie's List, but never actually looked at it)!

Description of Work: My Kenmore Elite refrigerator with french doors and bottom freezer ice maker went out. I replaced the ice maker fan from online research. Still got an error code. I was not able to further diagnose the problem and called Johnson. He was friendly and stated being an independent company, he didn't service my type of unit at this time. He offered recommendations as who to contact.Though, I did not use this service, I did him call because of Angie's List recommendations. I would call again if and when I need service.

Description of Work: Mr. Johnson took apart my freezer, pulled it out and took off the back and then the bottom front panel. He found that the compressor was running but wasn't working properly and was concerned that I might need a new purchase. When he looked into the bottom front panel, he found a ton of dust (that's an understatement) that had accumulated so he cleaned and I vacuumed. He thinks that that may be what's clogging up the entire system and keeping the compressor from running efficiently. We'll see. He put it all back together and said to give it about 6 - 12 hours. If the ice maker still isn't working and the food is still not getting frozen, I'll be heading out to buy a new fridge/freezer.

Description of Work: Mr. Johnson came out to our house to try and figure out why our washing machine was leaking water. After a thorough examination he determined that the likely cause was a defective timer knob. He has ordered the appropiate part but it has not come in so his repair is not yet complete.
