I just guessed at dates and prices. I have no idea when I used them last or how much it was. I have used them several times over the last 20 years and they have always done an exceptional job, showed up on time, and were very professional. I thought they were higher in price than another company, so I used the other company, and by the time the other company was done, their cost was much higher and we had a few little problems, which the company corrected. Just pointing out that some companies give you quotes over the phone and what they end up charging is a WHOLE lot more when the job is done.

They were very professional and took time to make sure the furniture was not damaged. There was a couple of items damaged but nothing major and was beyond the control of the movers.

They came several weeks before the move to provide me a detailed quote. They arrived on time the date of the move. They worked quickly and efficiently with no issues. I would definitely use this service again and I would recommend this service to friends.

Absolutely the best! I contacted a TON of different local moving companies in the Charlottesville/Roanoke/Lynchburg area for a move for a new job. I contacted them on very short notice and the owner worked with me directly and came out to do an estimate. Mind you, this was over the Christmas/New Year's holiday that everything was happening and most places were shut down. They worked around my schedule and stayed in communication with me while we were finalizing details. Would love to use them again for a future move!

Tony really took a upfront position and ensure everything we needed and more was done. i have used this company before and was not disappointed with any aspect of the move. this is a company where you getr more than you pay for. they made this worst of activites more than tolerable.

The time the folks were expected was 8:30 but they arrived 10 minutes before 9 AM (which they attribute to travel time). I was charged starting 8:30 AM. Perhaps this was the norm of the industry. Fine. Two movers came, they were polite, courteous, but slow. I helped out a lot when it was taking longer than anticipated. Compared to the movers who moved the same furniture into my old apartment, I thought it took took longer for Virginia Varsity to load these into the truck. We did all the packing. Aside from a large bookshelf, I really didn't have anything out of the ordinary. I was really disappointed that I had to find ways to assists the movers to get the furniture to fit in the door of the new apartment! They're supposed to be the experts and this is what they do for a living. They had a hard time to move the bookshelf and had to dismantle the shelf. Unfortunately, they didn't have the right tools and had to call for their boss for reinforcement. We had to wait about 30 mins. My petpeeve was that I was charged for all the time we spent waiting for their boss. Not cool.

I had a mess of stuff................... the difficult stuff was an attic with a narrow stairway. I got tired of packing and told them to do the rest. I had 16 years of accumulated stuff. They not only packed what I asked them too but went beyond that. I had very expensive lighting photography equipment that I was going to do myself because I was afraid of what might happen to it but they brought that with no problems. They were courteous, accomadating and professionals and respectful. VERY important customer service excellent. They made a troublesome move into an easy move. They took direction, offered suggestions, came back countless times to me to make sure I had things where I wanted them when they got to my new location. When they were all finished they had me walk through and make sure everything was where I wanted it and if it wasnt they moved it for me. No whining or rolling of eyes or making me feel like I was bothering them. I am telling you, it was worth every penny. If you want someone that will work with you and be johnny on the spot. Then I really am telling you I was very happy with my experience and recommend them highly.

From the initial start of working with Virginia Varsity, everything went smoothly and they stuck to their original quote. They also refered me to their storage company and gave me moving information as well as reccomended a professional organizer. They were very professional, courteous and friendly. They even sent a thank you note after the move. I would highly reccomend them. They are hands down the best moving company in the Roanoke, VA area.

They did excellent work and nothing has ever been damaged. We have used them for three moves. They are wonderful. Nothing broke, no walls scratch, everything was great. The guys that work for him are excellent.

Piece of cake! I am very happy with Virginia Varsity. We moved from Blacksburg to Christiansburg, and it was one of the easiest moves I can remember. The owner of the company came out to my house a few weeks prior to our desired move date to provide an estimate. The estimate was accurate, and did not change one penny. Four movers arrived on-time and professionally dressed. They were extremely efficient, polite, careful and FAST! It was a hot day, and these four young men worked extremely hard to deliver our furniture and belongings into our new house. I would hire Virginia Varsity again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

Two young guys called to let us know they were on their way but delayed in traffic due to blasting but not to worry as we wouldn't be charged for travel time caused by the delay. Since they were coming from a distance of about 30 miles we had to pay for travel time back and forth. The guys were polite and listened to instructions on where to put stuff. They were able to lift some pretty heavy stuff together and go up and down stairs. They worked quickly and didn't stop except for one smoking break outside. Also, the people who answered the phone and setup the appointment were courteous and professional. We also were fortunate to find them available on the last day.

I found out about Virginia Varsity through word of mouth. It was a great experience. I will give them an "A" on everything. They were very professional!

I needed temporary storage while passing through the Roanoke area, there was no problem with doing a month to month storage agreement for both an inside unit and outside parking for my car.

It went very well and we were very happy with them. One thing that I appreciate about them was that they sent enough guys over to do the job. The last move, the company only paid for two guys and they messed up some furniture because of it. The guys were young and super strong.

We are moving again in June and have requested the same crew. That says it all right there.
