They said that it was the compressor, and I told them to go ahead and put it in. After they put it in, we still didn’t have any heat. I had called them before Christmas, but they couldn’t do it until after. They have been coming back and forth because we still didn’t have heat and they said they couldn’t do any more. They said they hadn’t done anything wrong but they hadn’t taped up the cracks, and once they decided that was the problem we had heat. He didn’t give me any paperwork, including a warranty. But they said they would get it to me today. They put in 6 pound of R22 and Monday the other company went out and had to put in 2 more pounds. When I asked if they did a compressor check to check for leaks he said what he did was use a micron gauge.

Though the furnace was still working well, I called the company two days later to get an idea when the new part might be in so I could try to avoid scheduling snafus while planning for the coming week. I was told the part was expected Monday and I would get a call then to schedule service. Sure enough, the part came in as expected and service was scheduled for the next morning. The serviceman arrived promptly and went directly to work. Repairs were completed within 45 minutes. My husband was very pleased with both his efficiency and willingness to explain the process as he fixed the unit. He also took an additional few minutes to give the rest of the furnace a quick once over, replacing the air filter as a result. I highly recommend working with this company whether you are interested in purchasing a heating system or in need of service or repairs. We have had the pleasure of working with Mack Morris for close to ten years now and know them to be a company whose employees provide quality professional service that consistently goes above and beyond the norm at reasonable cost.

Called 7:35 AM (according to website business opened at 7:30) to report "no heat" problem. Found out later that this was just an answering service. Got return call at 10:15 AM. Described problem in detail, including things I had already checked. Service call scheduled for same day. When asked, business stated that based on today's schedule, someone would be there probably in the 11:00 AM TO 1:00 PM time frame. 11:15 AM Serviceman (Wesley) arrived. I again explained the problem and what I had already tried. He then went to work on the problem. In about 30 minutes he found and fixed a partially clogged tube in the furnace ignition system. The cost was $79 for basic service call and diagnostic plus $48.75 for repair (less a $25 dollar Angie's List coupon, available on this site). Very happy with all aspects of service.

Had trouble initially getting salesman to return phone calls. He was out of town and working on personal issues. We had no heat at this time and wished another salesperson would be assigned to us, but we kept being assured that ours would be available soon. After this rocky start, everything went more smoothly. The salesman was very attentive and informative, especially around rebates and sale prices. He also helped file paperwork to get government rebates. He helped us obtain a energy audit on our house which price was then rebated. We bought a higher end product and installation process was ok. New ducts needed to be put in, which we didn't find out until after the crew arrived to inspect the space for installation. This slowed the process and increased the cost. It would have been nice to know this at the very beginning. The workmen were very courteous and punctual. However they didn't not clean up 100%. I found piles of sawdust and pieces of wood that had to be cut in various areas. They also used the cheapest possible vent covers. After buying a high end HVAC system, I thought we would get something a little better on the vents. All in all, though, I thought it was a job well done and the service better than average. After installation, there were a few glitches in performance that were handled immediately at no extra cost. Since installation, the yearly service contract has been useful and worth the money. Workmen have been unfailingly polite and friendly as well as full of useful information.

The primary technician and trainee were on time. They were very professional and thorough in their system check up.

MORRIS MACK HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING are a class outfit. The manager is the best technician manager I've run into. His work was outstanding, his knowledge of his field was outstanding, and his personality couldn't be beat.

The unit was expensive but the labor was reasonable. The unit was located in a tiny ceiling crawl space so it took all day to remove/replace. The installers were great, courteous and hard working.

Overall excellent experience; estimator was on time and knowledgeable. Subsequently met with installer to go over specifics. Installation was professionally completed on-time.

Mack Morris has been our HVAC provider for 8 years. They quoted competitively and were very prompt, courteous and professional thoughout the process. We had specific requests for an air cleaner system they do not usually provide and they accommodates us very well.

My realtor recommended him. They installed the furnace and the gas lines because we converted from oil heat to gas. They are very personable and efficient. They got the job done quickly and easily without fuss. They are just very competent - they know what they are doing. They came and just did the whole process as smooth as silk and they were very personable and respectful, just very customer oriented.

Called for service around 7:30 AM. Repairman arrived a few hours later. He diagnosed the problem as a burned out fan motor and had the repair completed quickly. The air conditioner was back up and running by noon. You couldn't wish for better service than this. Where we used to live in northern Virginia, it would typically take a day or so just to get someone out to look into the problem. Then the customer would be placed on a wait list for at least a few more days before someone would actually come to make the repair.

When my HVAC suddenly quit working and the call to my handyman went unanswered, I started reading reviews, exploring websites and calling around for quotes. When the gentleman on the other end of the line answered the phone at Mack Morris Heating & Air Conditioning, I knew I had found the company to whom I would entrust the work. While my handyman finally made an appearance and it was simply a coil replacement, my unit will likely need to be replaced probably within the next year or two. Mack Morris will be my choice when it comes to purchasing a new heating/cooling system. I have no doubt that their professionalism and customer-centric approach extends well beyond the answering of my questions regarding the LEAP program, possible state/federal tax rebates, setting of an appointment, etc. This is a company that GETS IT RIGHT and I recommend them without hesitation.

Excellent service, on time and very efficient & thorough.

I called beforehand and got a price of $79 for the diagnostic visit (required), and they said that R-22 (Freon) was $65 for the first pound and $25 for each additional pound. He added R-22, not sure how much. I gave him a $25 Angie's list coupon. Invoice total was $169, with 2 pounds of R-22 listed on the invoice. He said the coupon reduced the total for the R-22. I guess he must have added more than 2 pounds and just listed 2# to reduce the cost, OR the coupon didn't actually net us a discount. With service coupons, it always feels a bit soft. System working better immediately - very nice and prompt serviceman. Would use again.

Mon lost heat pump and they quickly helped us with replacing it. Great company.

All the company men were professional and obviously knew their business. Work was completed on time and within budget.
