Hiring Performance Home Improvement has been an absolute dream experience and I am SO glad that I ended up using them. Though they were not my 1st choice, they were certainly the best and SO wish I had started with them! Let me explain… I have two homes that needed roofs, gutters and other items replaced/fixed after a recent hail storm. I figured it would be easy to get a contractor to work with me but to my surprise, it was not. I spent weeks dealing with contractors only to end up having to start all over each time. I could go into the frustrating details but to summarize, one took weeks to get back to me with messed up proposals, one never got back to me with a proposal, and one I had received a proposal from and agreed to use, never responded to my emails/calls to do the work! And ALL of them asked for the insurance claims to be able to quote me a price. Seriously? Not having luck with other means, I decided to give Angies List a go. I made a short list of 3 local contractors and Performance Home Improvement was the 1st I called. The owner Ed Brown showed up when scheduled, took his time going over the two houses in detail, explained my options, and sat down with me then and there to draw up a proposal. Because of my prior experience, I had concerns trusting but decided to sign and use them. I cannot emphasize enough how glad I am that I did! Work was done when scheduled, completed on time, and done with care and quality results. He was quick to respond to questions, always communicating what was happening when, and then confirming what was supposed to happen did. I was amazed at how fast the roofing crew worked! So many houses around me took days and these were each done well within a day. Ed personally handles the gutter / downspout work and when I asked why, he told me crews are paid by the foot and tend to rush the jobs which do not reflect the quality he demands. Though I was already feeling good about my decision, that sealed it for me. =) I hope I never need roof replacement again but should I, Performance Home Improvement will be my contractor without hesitation!

I used to live in the home when I was stationed at the Pentagon and it is now a rental. As a long distance landlord it is important to have trusted contractors available to me. I screen all contractors very well before I hire anyone to do work. Ed is fantastic. He was always on time and coordinated directly with the tenant. He was prompt with sending me pictures of the damage and completed work and answers questions quickly via email or text. During this last job, we had a small issue with his crew. The tenant contacted me in the evening and I called and left a message. My call was returned within 15 minutes and the issue was quickly resolved. The work was done within the time frame agreed upon with no impact to my tenants and the final work was looked great any very professional. If you are looking to use a local small business for you roof, gutter and any other construction need - these guys will exceed you expectation at the best price.

Well, since we were in the middle of a hail storm we have recent experience. Well, based on a few people I talked about in the neighborhood, it was at least in the A range.

Ed did a fantastic job. He was willing to give me an estimate for the actual work rather than just ask for my insurance estimate, which I didn't share until we had agreed on a price. He did exactly what he said he would do, when he said he would do it. There was a 1-day delay in the start of the job. He called me right away and explained what was happening. I appreciated his honesty. I recommended him to a friend who also used his services. I will definitely call him again.

Performance Home Improvement was recommended by Angie's List so we felt confident in contacting the business for an estimate. The owner, Ed, came to our home and went over all our options, provided answers to our questions and even pointed out things about our roof and downspouts we may want to consider. Ed helped us with our insurance work, provided a written estimate outlining all the work to be done and what was included in the warranty, made sure the job was done to our satisfaction and that we knew the company would stand behind the work they had done. We love our new roof and after a second storm shortly after completion, we know the work was done well and will provide protection for our home for years to come. We even recommended Performance Home Improvement to our son for his home.

Mr. Brown is very knowledgeable and professional. The work went according to schedule and was completed to our 100% satisfaction. He was helpful in every way. He reviewed the damage with the insurance adjuster to ensure everything was included and nothing was missed. He answered all of our phone calls promptly and was always available when we had questions regarding paper work from the insurer or loan company. All paper work was completed promptly and accurately. We would recommend him to for anyone needing home repairs or construction. We definitely plan on using him in the future.

With every scheduled appointment, the owner of Performance Home Improvement Ed Brown showed up on time. We worked with him directly throughout the entire process. When we needed him to show up earlier then we had scheduled, he did! He is courteous and very professional. We filed insurance claim for this work and he worked with our insurance adjuster and represented us (the homeowners) extremely well. He completed the work within the budget that our insurance company paid for. The labor he sent over to our house to do all the work on the day the job was done were very professional. They worked fast and they worked well and left no mess behind. The work was done almost 3 months ago. We've already experienced a few storms since then and have not seen any leaks. More positive experiences: - easy to contact and get a hold of - if you have to leave a voicemail, they return the call within the day.

They did an excellent job on both roof and siding. I am very pleased with the results.

The materials were delivered when said. They showed up on the day and time they said they would. They were very professional. Helpful to us. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of contractors. We were very pleased with them and our results.

Damage from recent hail storm had us needing a new roof. Ed was very responsive and came in on budget for the job. He and his crew came out and took care of the roof in a day. The work and clean up was great! We have had Ed do smaller jobs for us over the years, we trust his experience and work ethic. I would highly recommend Performance Home Improvement if you want a job well done and a honest assessment of what work you need performed.

It went so smoothly and Ed Brown was present and assured that all damage was noted by the insurance company when adjuster came to the house. His roofing crew was wonderful and they also did a great job with clean up and caring for the plants around the house. His attention to detail was great and I would definitely use him again!

It went great. Ed quickly identified the actual problem and then assisted us with the insurance company with the estimates. He would not allow the insurance company to do less than he felt was needed. Great quality work and very trustworthy!

With Performance Home Improvement's help it went very well. I've never had to replace a roof before or deal with the insurance inspectors. Ed from Performance Home Improvement provided constant guidance throughout the whole process and was always available to talk, and even came up to meet with the inspectors every time they came. We are very happy with the roof that was installed and the professional service provided through out the whole process. We are definitely thankful that we chose Performance Home Improvement to do the work!

Roof replacement was compatible with another company, but felt comfortable with Ed. He seemed to be very up front with every thing and did a few extra things without charging. Made suggestions on what needed and didn't need to be done. Thought I would need to replace one side on fence and said just needed to replace a few boards. Would recommend him to others.

Excellent. Lowest of 3 bids. Crew was efficient and area was throughly picked up and all debris removed. Would use them again.

They did an excellent job--looks almost like a whole new deck and many neighbors have stopped to let us know how good everything looks. They were very pleasant and courteous and we will certainly use them again for any future work.

Performance Home Improvement replaced out roof.

We have used Performance Home Improvement several times over the past 4 years and I must say we have never been more satisfied. Quality, professionalism, and knowledge are applied during every quote and every job. I called Ed over the weekend and he promptly called me back the same day. He and I discussed the details from my previous home inspection and he agreed to stop by our house the following day in order to give us an accurate quote. I received the quote mid-morning that day and once all paperwork was signed, Ed and his crew immediately went to work. Believe me when I tell you that I am a hard person to please! I have not had a single complaint with any of the work that Performance Home Improvement has down for us. All of the work is done to code and will stand the test of time, NO SHORT CUTS HERE FOLKS. I cannot say enough great things about this company!!! Feel free to get multiple quotes from different contractors and you will find that Performance Home Improvement has competitive prices but the quality is unmatched by all. You won't be disappointed!

These guys were great! Arrived on time, conducted an inspection and provided me with pictures of their findings. Being 150miles away I appricieaded their evidence to support their written estimate. When it came time to pay we had a little miscommunication when it came to the credit card number but we're able to resolve the issue the following day. No haste or late night phonecards or anything of the sort, just curious and fair treatment the whole way through. I will use these folks again.

The provider was courteous, on time, and knew what he was doing. He took the time to explain everything that he needed to do and never was there a doubt in my mind about the service being performed. All in all I would definitely use this company again and highly recommend their services.
