Loudoun Deck & Fence Co

My husband and I were very pleased with Loudoun Deck and Fence Company. The day we called to schedule the estimate, Jason was nearby and came out that same afternoon. He spent a lot of time reviewing our Homeowners Assocation specifications to ensure we built a fence that met their requirements. We weren't able to find one of our stakes but the crew brought out a metal detector and were able to find it in no time. The demolishing of the deck was amazingly fast and every piece of wood was removed. The fence itself went up in day and the entire crew were all very hard working. The only not and quot;perfectand quot; situation is that they hadn't ordered enough finials for the fence posts but they were installed a week later. Everyone I spoke to at the office was very professional and knowledgeable. We had received a second quote and Loudoun Deck and Fence was by far the most reasonably priced. Our fence was installed so that we could bring home our new puppy, which we did a week after the week was up. We now have a safe place for our goldendoodle and all of us are enjoying the privacy the fence provides.

Showed up and completed the project in one day. Very professional. Fence looks great!

Scheduling and estimate process was seamless. Tim V. was timely, responsive to questions, informative and personable. Installers arrived on time but there was a misunderstanding about whether the fence would have a slanted top or stepped top. The back yard has a downward slope so I had indicated to Tim I wanted the stepped version (to match the style of the existing sides) but this was not conveyed, or understood, by the installers. They were planning to do slanted installation. There was a little bit of a language barrier with the installer so a call to the supervisor was made to discuss. In the end, they agreed to the stepped down style that I originally wanted. It's been a year since the install and I am concerned about the quality of the work. As the attached photo shows, nails were driven such that cracks were made in the wood and nails are partially exposed because there are spaces between the end of a horizontal support post and the vertical post to which it is attached. This doesn't seem right to me. This has not been an issue so far, but I fear this will cause the fence to weaken prematurely. I called Tim V about these concerns and he promptly came out to check it out. He indicated there is nothing improper about the installation. I have reservations about it but lacking any expert knowledge in this area, I am relying on his expertise. My suggestion would be 1) ensure you are on site when the install occurs, and 2) ensure you are completely satisfied and all questions have been answered before they leave the site.

Receiving an estimate was very quick. The person who provides the estimate was able to speak to me as soon as I called. He came out within the first hour after my call to provide the estimate. I had the written estimate a few hours later. This part of the service was very good especially considering the other companies that I contacted from Angie's list did not provide an estimate. I suspect that since the job was small that is why it took several weeks after I paid the deposit for the work to be scheduled. I was not told ahead of time the exact date the crew would show up. They had my original gate and posts removed and replaced within an hour. The wood used was wet and now the new gate is starting to warp. This was the reason my original gate had to be replaced. Also the latch was not installed as well as it could have been. So I'm already having issues with opening and closing the latch. So I am not completely pleased with the experience since repair work is already necessary.

Top marks for everyone from the estimator Timothy Vernon to the workmen. Very easy to deal with, They offered a great price with the Angie's discount and the quality of the work was excellent and very timely completion as promised.

This is the second time I've used Loudoun Deck and Fence and I am VERY happy with their work! Dan came out for the initial meeting and listened to what I was looking for as well as what my idea was for the deck. He really thought about what I was saying and spent some time mulling it over in his mind before suggesting something totally different--and I'm so glad he did! He even had this very cool computer program that showed 3-D renderings as we talked through different options. As the start date got closer (as well as during the project) I called Dan with several different questions (adding lattice, adding a gate for the deck, adding a spot for my water hose) and each time he would ask me questions back to see what my goal was before making a recommendation. The project started on time and went off without a hitch! I now have a beautiful deck (and fence) that all of my neighbors have commented positively on and I am so happy I worked with Loudoun Deck and Fence.

Everything went well. They were very prompt in service and were able to schedule a time with us within a couple days and took care of all the permits for us. They did a really nice job.

GREAT! I got 6 estimates before choosing these guys. I thought about how to fence my yard for a long time as there were some tricky aspects and high visibility. Jason was patient and willing to work with me-and my neighbors who tied into the fence on the side yards. . Many estimators will not be there on installation day. Jason was. Some estimators gave me a lump sum that I didn't understand ( example, so where exactly will the fence stop/start?) One estimator wrote my neighbors portion of linear feet and price in to my estimate w/o itemizing. I had no problem w/ billing or getting them to come back and detail things afterwards. Easy to work with and a great finished product. I would highly recommend these guys!

I live in a small townhouse and wanted a fence enclosure/extension. For home improvements there is usually a lot of red tape getting approval from the HOA. Loudoun Deck and Fence were wonderful. After I submitted the plans to the HOA, Mr. Tim Vernon of Loudoun Deck and Fence actually dealt directly, playing phone tag, with the HOA getting the correct specs needed for approval of my fence. I tried for too many years to get this fence built. Either it was too small of a job for any one company and/or no one wanted to deal with the HOA. After all was approved Loudoun Deck and Fence were out the next day and now I have a beautiful, high quality fence. I am so excited and can not thank Loudoun Deck and Fence enough for all they did. I would recommend Loudoun Deck and Fence very highly to anyone.

My husband and I contacted a few companies in March/April time frame to get estimates to install a fence on our property. Jason came out to do the estimate and he was prompt, he addressed all our concerns. We wanted this work done ASAP but of course had to get proper approval through our HOA, Jason told us that he would be out of town for the following week for personal matters. After that week we contacted him to get some updated information from him, and we never heard back. My husband contacted him again after about another week once we had our HOA approval to see if we could still make something work and never heard back from him again. We ended up going with another company, but find it completely unprofessional that a company would just become nonresponsive to a customer.

Project was managed and executed in an excellent manner from start to finish. Tim came out and met with me to review the requirements. We originally wanted to have a post and rail fence installed and he provided me with a quote for that fence. We then decided to go with a picket fence instead and Tim provided a new quote for that fence. He also recommended a very reasonably priced surveyor to survey our plat prior to the start of the project. Once the yard was surveyed I called Tim and we scheduled for the fence installation. His crew showed up at 1pm as planned on the day of the install after finishing a morning project. On that particular day the temperatures were in the mid to upper 90s and with a four person crew and 'hand tools' they installed the entire fence by 8pm that evening (I was actually surprised that they could get the project done in one day, especially considering how hot it was). One thing worth mentioning is that the project foreman was very diligent in doing a walk around with me and explaining exactly what they were going to be doing prior to the actual performance of the work. He also made some suggestions on gate style and on how to finish off certain parts of the fence where it would be butting up to an existing fence. All in all the project went exactly as planned, we are very pleased with the end-product and wouldn't hesitate to hire them again in the future.

We were pleased with everyone at LDF, from our estimator/project manager, to the team who did the work, to the administrative staff member who processed my payments. Nice people, quality work, fair price.

Jason was great to work with, and the job went really well. Three guys showed up around 10am, and worked straight through until 7 pm that evening to get the job done. They did a great job cleaning everything up and hauling away our old fence, etc. We were very impressed with their work, and the fence looks fantastic!

I contacted Loundon and spoke to a representative to whom I provided a detailed explanation of what I wanted and gave them my contact information. The representative said someone would contact me to set up an appointment for an estimate but I never received a response. The other 4 fence companies I contacted for an estimate all replied within 24 hours.

Provided an onsite estimate. Tim was very professional. Very competitive in all aspects but we eventually chose another company - a real jump ball situation.

We highly recommend this company. We dealt with Tom Vernon who was extremely responsive, professional and true to task. His crew was skilled, polite and went above and beyond our expectations in both craftsmanship and clean up of the site. Not one of the flowers or bushes or our grass took abuse during the job...and all done in one day! Can't say enough good stuff!Burke, VA

I contacted Loudoun Deck and Fence for an estimate, and Jason came out the following day. He was very thorough, well-versed in zoning regulations, and patient, taking the time to answer all of our questions. We had a six other estimates, but Jason, in addition to providing the lowest estimate, was also the most attentive and willing to work with what we wanted. A week after accepting his offer, his crew was able to tear down the old fence and build the new one all in one day, while other contractors said the job would take 2-3 days (another reason we chose LDand F). The fence looks amazing, and is exactly what we wanted. They did a good job cleaning up afterwards, and we would not hesitate to use LDand F again!

Installed a fence around my back yard. Couldn't of asked for a better contractor to work with. Came to the house three times to ensure the estimate was exactly what I was loking for. The job was completed faster than expected and my yard was left in better shape than when they arrived. I will use them again when I have my deck built.

It takes a lot to move me to write a review but my experience with Jason was so outstanding that I feel compelled to share it back. Jason responded promptly, came out to the site to review teh work, and turned around an estimate within 2 days of initial contact. That was last Friday... the job was completed today (Wednesday). His team was efficient and the work quality was excellent. I highly recommend him... as a matter of fact, i already have to one of our friends.

.Jason was very responsive and answers emails quickly. We were able to get an estimate quickly and the estimate was reasonable for the amount of work needed. Once we decided to hire Loudoun Deck and Fence we secured a date within a week or so. The crew was great, they worked very hard for an entire day and built a great-looking fence. (They also did a great job clearing brush and plants around the old fence but if you have important plants/trees near the fence line---make sure to point them out to the crew!) They were a couple posts short when the wood was delivered so another small crew came out the following day and completed the remaining gate and a concrete repair was was made a few days later by Jason. The biggest reasons I highly recommend this company is that our new fence looks great and any issues (none were major) that arose or questions we had were promptly addressed and resolved by Jason.

My wife and I were going through the process of adopting a rescue dog and, in order to do so, we had to fence our backyard. I reached out to a few contractors for quotes, but LCDF by far was the best experience. They were out here in a very timely manner to give me a quote (which was $1000+ less than the other quotes) and were very helpful to me when it came to navigating the murky waters of my HOA approval process. The install took less than 8 hours and the guys were in and out with a minimum of noise and debris. The project manager check in multiple times with me to ensure that everything was moving smoothly (it was) and there was no clean-up on my end at all once they had finished the work. I would absolutely recommend these guys to anyone looking for fencing.

I got quotes from a bunch of the top rated deck and fence contractors I found on angieslist, so I wasn't overly concerned with the quality, I figured all of them are proven enough. I was mainly looking at the prices, and was kind of surprised to see the same contractor with the low price on the deck and the fence....which was Loudoun Deck and Fence. They were extremely responsive and helpful throughout the entire quote process, I spoke with Jason on the fence and Dan on the deck, both of them listened to my ideas and plans and worked off of that, offering suggestions and ideas when needed. After we agreed to the contract, we were able to get them scheduled within 1 week to start on the deck. The fence would be done the day after the deck finished. Throughout construction and follow up they kept up the great work, and were always available if I had questions. We are very happy with the final product. I would (and have) easily recommend them and use them again for anything deck/fence related.

The came when they said and finished on schedule. The area was clean when they left. The craftsmenship was excellant. They know what they are doing.

The experience of working with Loudoun Deck and Fence was wonderful. From the first call to Mary Ann, to the estimate and planning with Tim and down to the actual install by very professional craftsmen, the whole process went smoothly. They went out of their way to provide excellent customer service, going above and beyond with prompt responses with information for permits. The fence looks like a quality product and was installed precisely as requested. They even cleaned up all of their materials when finished! As for price, I was satisfied and feel that I got a quality product for a fair price.
