Second time using them and wouldn't go anywhere else!

I planned to use Loudon Fence to do a large job for me. I was ready to commit but asked that one contract issue be changed. The salesman said he would have to discuss with his boss. A week went by and the salesman said there was still not resolution. After several more days I emailed again several times but never heard back so I contracted with another supplier. I heard back once I emailed to say I had contracted with someone else. The salesman said he had sent me an email approving my change but I never recieved it. Too bad as I think they would have done a good job and I was planing on using them. If I ever have another job I would allow them to bid again.

They were a great company to work with. We wanted to get the fence installed as soon as we moved in but do to our HOA it required pre-planning to get it approved. Loudoun deck was very helpful in all my requests for information and quotes ahead of time. They showed up on time and did a high quality job with our fence. The only nitpick would be they did leave some empty water bottles and a few nails around in the backyard.

Dan was extremely responsive. Great experience with his company and staff. Dan worked with my husband to design the deck - and we are very pleased with the result! We are enjoying it immensely!

They were really good. The price was far the lowest, he spent 40 minutes to explain things he has to do, he offered more than anyone else and the finished product was really good. He's honest.

Crew did excellent job with removal and new build. Removed all trash and leftovers. Great price! Great job!!

When I called to ask about when to expect the work to begin, I was told they were going to come out right after Miss Utility marked the property. I informed them Miss Utility had already marked the property. I expected them the next day. When they did not come I sent the estimator an e-mail asking when they would come out. I did not receive an answer. The next business day I called and was assured the estimator would call. I did not receive a call. The next day I again attempted to e-mail the estimator and again received no response. That evening I sent an e-mail to the company and advised the contract was cancelled and I waned my deposit returned. A half hour later, at 7:30 PM, a worker from Loudoun Deck and Fence shows up saying he is going to start on my gates. I told the worker that the contract was cancelled and even if it were not cancelled, there is no way they were going start working on the gates in the coming darkness. Their lack of communications made me cancel the contract.

They were very timely and they followed up. They did what they said they were going to do. They also came out and checked the fence six month in a year without me asking. If they see anything, they fix it even without me doing anything.

Won't be calling them again. Would hate to have hired them and have this lack of responsiveness, so it's probably for the best.

My husband and I had received several quotes for fences. One of our neighbors recommended Loudoun Deck and Fence right before we were going to go with another company. I called and the very polite receptionist took down my information. I didn't hear back right away so I called again a few days later. I received a call back right away from Jason. He came out and gave us a quote. The quote was much better than the other two quotes we had received. This was in January. Due to the bad winter, we had to keep postponing the install. Finally, we were able to find a day to get it done. Three men showed up to install it and we were amazed at how fast they did it! We also had to have it stained white to be in compliance with our HOA. It took a long time to finally get it painted, but they finally came back and it looks great! We get so many compliments.

I called this company to request an appointment for a free estimate to replace a residential fence. The lady I spoke with on the phone was very polite. She took down my information, including email address, and said that one of two named guys would be contacting me via email within 3-5 business days to set up a time/date for the estimate. She apologized for the 3-5 business day time frame and said it was the busy season. I understood that they are busy this time of year and was fine with that time frame. It has now been 3 weeks and I still have not received a call or email from anyone so we have decided to use another company that is more responsive.

Everything was perfect! The price was good, the customer service was excellent, the crew was courteous and clean. Highly recommend!!!!

I would use Loudoun Deck and Fence Co in the future.

I picked out five and quot;Aand quot; rated deck builders from Angie's List to get quotes for my deck. The other builders had more reviews and offered me competitive rates, but Dan beat their estimates by a mile. Dan stopped by and gave me a very detailed estimate, using a CAD software to make it easier to visualize how the deck would look. Once I got my HOA approval (they helped me with it), they went a head and got the county permit. It took them three days to build my deck and it looks fabulous. Best of all, I initially wanted to go with a completely wooden deck, but with their price being so low, I got a Trex Transcend deck for what the other builders were quoting for a wooden deck!

Excellent work and quality materials. Totally professional and reliable!

Installed 200 feet of Gothic Picket fence. Best price by far. Installed in two days. Had an issues where they punctured the sprinkler system, they promptly fixed the issue, although I did have to argue a bit with the guy they sent out to fix the leak. My neighbor liked them enough to have the exact same fence installed by them a few weeks later

The company and team were great to work with - very professional and hard working. The fence was installed without issue and the company followed through on the annual maintenance. Great work. Would highly recommend.

Dan Hutchinson (owner) and Mary Ann Evans (office manager) were excellent to work with. I had NO issues whatsoever. I did not use the website, I did all my communication with Dan and Mary Ann over the phone and a few emails. Dan will admit that he doesn't do well with email and told me from the beginning that all questions should be sent to Mary Ann. Mary Ann is extremely responsive and if she doesn't have an answer for you, will find out the answer quickly. Dan uses subcontractors, but I must admit, the subcontractors were extremely professional, punctual, and knew their work. They build decks and fences and are masters at it - they are not all around handymen. Dan also speaks fluent Spanish, so he is able to communicate with all his team members. There are no communication issues. I was consulted through the whole process when a decision had to be made. The price was more than fair and the work was impeccable. When it comes time to do a fence, I will definitely call Dan and Mary Ann. I've already recommended them to my neighbors.

The whole process went very smoothly. Dan, the owner, came out and walked the property with me. He brought a metal detector to find my property corners. He had great ideas and really knows fences and decks. The work was scheduled promptly and the workers Wilbur and Enrique were great. They showed up on time and worked so hard. The fence turned out so well. I love how the posts where the gates are are bigger. I have noticed that not all fences are done like this. It is really pretty and I will recommend to all my friends who need a fence.

I am a perpetual shopper who reads a lot of reviews before making a decision. It is probably a compulsion. I had 5 separate deck companies come to my house and give me estimates on building this deck. All were very well rated on Angie's List. I explained to each my goals and needs. Frankly, Dan Hutchinson not only understood my needs best, he also gave me several suggestions that I didn't think of. When I say suggestions, he wasn't trying to upsell me. He was giving solid ideas to help me with what I wanted to do. We just moved into our new home and this house already had to decks. One lower deck that span the entire lenth of the back of the house, second was an upper lever screened porch that had no access to the outside and no stairs to go down for my little dogs. Well, he spent probably close to two hours with me going through different ideas on how it could be done best to my liking. He came back a second time to go over things with my girlfriend and show us some different sample composites. Our backyard is basically the end of a damp forest and he was the only company to recommend 100% PVC deck that wouldn't have a potential mold product. He was also the only one that gave me an option for building the upper level on one side of the porch with the stairs coming down the other. He also gave me an idea that would allow for only two support posts on the back side that would go through the lower deck. Everyone else wanted to put three thinner posts that would have obstructed the basement entrance somewhat. (The deck was against an overhang so it needed rear posts). He is also the only one with a brilliant idea that would allow for the rear support beam to be hidden versus below the deck and right in plain site. Basically, he had the best ideas and took the time to think them though and explain them to me. With all of this creativeness and giving me exactly what I was looking for, he also offered basically the best pricing with the top level Trex or PVC alternative. One other company tried to sell me on Trex's new low end product, another didn't plan on using hidden fasteners. Both were still more money, pushy and tried to use quick close techniques. At the time I knew his company and he were very busy and dealing with a lot of weather issues as well. He genuinely look the time necessary to explain things to both my girlfriend and I. He was certain not to over promise and he was the furthest thing from pushy. Some other companies were great during the estimate however two of the others were very pushy and tried using quick close discount techniques. They wouldn't need to if they were as experienced and competitive as Dan with Loudoun Deck and fence are. Dan and Loudoun Deck and Fence provided me the Best Bang for my Buck, gave me the best ideas and did a fantastic job carrying out the installation of my deck. Was everything perfect? No, there were weather issues that delayed them a little however I believe they did the best that they could considering. Not only will I definitely use them again, I would highly recommend them to anyone who asked.

On 7-25 I called to request quote on fence replacement. Office staff was pleasant. Received call promptly from sales rep and set up appointment for 7-29 at 10am. Sales rep was a no show. Called office at 4pm on 7-29 staff was apologetic and said sales rep would contact me. Received email from rep apologizing for missing appointment, said he was tied up in office all day and would call. Rep never called or made any other contact. I was subsequently out of town and tied up with other projects and placed fence on back burner. When I got back around to the fence project I decided to give the company another chance. Called office on 10-2 and explained what had happened in July. Was assured that the owner or sales rep would contact me immediately to set up an appointment. Never heard a thing. As someone who spent his working career in sales I'm amazed at the lack of response on the part of Loudoun Deck and Fence toward someone trying to give them business. I am very disappointed as the company had a very high rating and I would prefer to do business with local companies.

I would NOT recommend wasting your time. I've called twice for an estimate for a fence and have even emailed a survey of the property line to help facilitate. Very unprofessional not to get back to prospective client....learn how to become a customer centric company !! Its been 5 weeks with no response...how are you still in business

All work was done exactly as I explained and imagined. It took a couple of extra days to receive the estimate but that was not a problem. The primary factor that drove me to choose this company over one with a slightly lower estimate was that an actual person answered the phone each time I called. This person, Mary Ann to be exact, was helpful and knowledgeable throughout. Every other company I contacted required that the customer leave voicemail then called back whenever they could, resulting in way too much phone tag and missed connections. It was a pleasure working with this company. The work they did was exactly what I wanted at a price I felt was reasonable.

Fence was installed in one day. My husband came home and noticed that the fence did not look level so he confirmed with a 5 foot level that the fence was crooked. Called the company and they sent out a worker the next day or two. When the worker arrived he tried to convince me that the fence was good enough despite it being unleveled at several locations. He was disrespectuful to me and argumental with the customer. The only way I could get somewhere was to call the sales rep. The rep came out and said that it was unleveled and leveled the fence the following day. A few weeks later the gate was not closing properly. Called the company again and they sent out the same worker. The arrived and proceeded directly to fix the gate. Once he fixed the gate he banged on the door as hard as he could. I felt that he was going to break the door down. Once I came out he was on a personal phone call and put up his finger, signaling me to wait while he completed his personal phone call. After a few minute waiting I wasn't going to wait any longer while he finish his personal phone call so I went back into the house. After several minutes later he again banged on the door as hard as he could. When I came to the door he said nothing and put his index finger in the air and signaled for me to come look at the fence. He made a smart remark stating and quot;WHAT, YOU COULD'NT HEAR MEand quot;. I told him that I was working inside the house and came to the door as soon as possible. The gate was not repaired correctly since it has a uneven gap on both sides of the gate and the fence is rubbing. (note. There are excess screws in the gate hinges: a sign of being installed incorrectly). anyway he did not like hearing that the repair is not right. He started to raise his voice and I immediately told him to leave my property. I immediately called the company and was referred to the salesman who said that he never had an issues with this worker. Not true because I reported the worker during his first visit. I called my husband and he was furious of the unprofessionalism of the worker and lackadasial response of the salesman. My husband called the salesman and expressed his concern and to tell them never have that worker show up at our house and i don't expect my wife to be treated that way. The salesman gave my husband a weak response. anyway the salesman said that he will be out next week to fix it. A few weeks later my gate has excess screws in the hinges, is still rubbing, it is not plum and does not close properly. I called the office again and they said that someone will call me. I'm still waiting for the company to call me and to honor the warranty on their work.

Loudoun Deck and Fence was my last of 4 estimates I asked for in order to get a deck built. We also asked them for a fence quote and decided on another contractor for that piece. The experience was essentially flawless. From initial consultation, follow up and design as well as communication through the process all the way to completion. Dan and his team are top notch. They work seamlessly and without error. I believe I will use them again when it comes time to add a patio! They did everything we discussed with no deviation and all of it was great work. I could not be happier with the results and I am glad we decided to go for that last estimate with them. The only reason we did not use them for the fence was a large price difference. For the deck they were very competitive.
