Description of Work: I use TruGreen. They nurture the lawn. They make it nice and green. They put their chemicals on it. They kill weeds, sage bugs, and other animals that hurt your lawn so that it does not have any kind of things like that. They do general lawn care.

Description of Work: Pricing I could not refuse for a 0.4 acre yard. I have only used them once so far but have seen noticeable improvement in the yard. I have always done it myself and found that I cant even get the materials for what they are doing it for.

Description of Work: The problem with trugreen is they did not do anything. The scheduled multiple appointments to service our lawn and did not show up for a single one! I even have voicemail messages reminding me of the services for the next day - and still no one showed. The other great part is I received 3 bills from them. I DID however have a sign in my front yard saying my yard was serviced by Trugreen, but when I called to see if anything had been done, no one had a record of anything! The other bad part of this is we missed the perfect spring window of fertilizing and all the other stuff they were supposed to do. I now use Virginia Green.... TIMELY, AWESOME, AND GREAT! I was able to get someone out on short notice. They followed up with me. And even came back out when my new sod was able to be serviced. Save yourself time and energy and go with Virginia Green.

Description of Work: I have been a Tru Green customer for over 4 years. Until recently, i was happy with their service. I subscribed to the lawn care service, had my lawn aerated and seeded every fall as they suggested and followed their program of lawn care. Last December 17, one of their technicians applied weed killer to my lawn, I was unsure why they were doing this as late in the growing season for fescue, but trusted their judgment ... Big mistake! Six months later, everywhere they applied the weed killer is bare, scorched earth, nothing grows in those spots, which cover about 800-1000 square feet of my previously lush green lawn. I called Tru Green on at least 5 occasions, they responded once. The technician was willing to make excuses, including accusing me of applying something on my lawn myself. I do not apply chemicals or fertilizer to my lawn, that is what I paid Tru green to do. I was promised that a manager would call on at least 3 occasions, no one ever called or even made an attempt to address my concerns. Customer service is non-existent. Empty promises appear to be their customer service mantra. They will not acknowledge a mistake was made or even attempt to remedy my badly damaged lawn. I also had used their tree and shrub service for 3 years and never had any problem, but have since cancelled that service because the company is not responsive to my concerns. Now I have a lawn with many bare spots, thanks to them...no customer service, no contact, no satisfaction. I am wiling to wager that their money back guarantee is worthless too, as no one in the organization ever follows up to address customer concerns. Pretty lousy service, stay away from these people, they do not care about loyal customers.

They charged extra when I needed a treatment for brown patch disease and that was a little over $100 when I needed that service. I had someone else taking care of my lawn now, but if I wouldn t have found them I would use Chem Lawn again.

+ -1 moreThey fertilized my lawn about 10 times a year and they always came out when they were scheduled. If I weren t here they still would proceed with the treatment. He was very responsible and has just the utmost respect. I was very grateful to have them doing my lawn care.

+ -1 moreI couldn t tell you how much they charged for our regular fertilizing and weed treatment, but I knew they charged us $125 last week to treat our lawn for a fungus they called Brown Patch Disease and that was for the front and back yard. They have kept our lawn the envy of everyone in the neighborhood.

The people that come out to do the work are courteous and professional. The work is done is also done thoroughly and efficiently.

+ -1 moreMy husband and I both worked when they first started coming out and they knew we were gone, but after that I quit working and what they would do is put the bill on the door. They would hang it on the doorknob. One day they came around and I was home and I was upstairs, and I think they did knock on the door, but they were in the driveway about thirty seconds and then they pulled out. He was here only thirty seconds and left a bill on the doorknob for thirty five dollars. They did not do anything. I do not know how many times they have done that, but we sure have not noticed any weeds going away.
