Neat Sweep

The contractor finally contacted me. Not sure if the disconnect was with Neat Sweep or Angie List's Rapid Response system. Regardless, the tech that performed the service was on time and courteous. He seemed to know what he was doing and made sure everything was properly covered from any soot. He also took a look at the roof and found some damage to the roofing near the chimney, but not to the chimney itself and recommended I find a good roofing contractor to take a look at it. Except for the long delay in hearing back from the vendor and/or Angie's List, it was a very good experience and a very good contractor. I would definitely use them again in the future.

The only glitch was that I was told by Angie's list that I would be contacted in 2 days. I never heard from them. However, I called the Neat Sweep office 4 days later and got someone on the phone at 7:00 p.m. or so and they immediately scheduled the appt. They called to confirm and Corey was here promptly at 9:00. He placed a cover over our oriental rug and went to work. He then repaired what he could today for a minimal fee. My husband and I were very pleased. We have heard horror stories about chimney sweep companies that come in a rob you blind when there really were no problems at all. Glad to have Angie's list and very happy to have had Corey of Neat Sweep. We will hiring them to inspect our chimney on a yearly basis!

Appointed was easily made and the chimney sweep showed up at the scheduled time. Explained my reason for the service & he immediately assessed that only minimal cleaning was necessary which he methodically completed to my satisfaction. Also checked the damper and the chimney on the roof o assure that everything else was in good working condition. I asked several questions about gas logs which he answered in detail. All & all it was a good experience with a good worker & a good company!

They were very good. They were very prompt. They came exactly when they said they were gonna come. They were reasonably priced and they did a good job.

They were fine. I wouldn't say that everything was exploratory there but I was not dissatisfied with their service at all.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. My husband dealt with them. It was fine and they did what they came to do. There were not any issues.

The Neat Sweep worker arrived on time. He was very cordial and immediately began to work. He inspected the inside of the chimney from the fireplace and he then went to the roof to inspect the brickwork and the inside from the top down. He took videos and shared them with me. Having had a similar service years ago in another home, I was completely impressed with this service. He took the time to explain each area of concern and answered all of my questions. He spotted a crack in the tile and showed that to me on the camera. I am so thankful that he found that so I would not end up with a chimney fire this fall. He explained several options and he was quite knowledgeable and honest. I really appreciate the time he took to explain everything. He then cleaned the chimney and did a great job! Not one speck of dirt at all on the rug and he was very thorough in the clean up process. He wrote everything down so that I would be able to make a decision as what to do next. I would highly recommend this service to anyone who wants an honest and accuarte appraisal of the condition of the chimney. I was impressed throughout the process! Kudos to Neat Sweep. I will surely use them to do any repairs that I decide to have done! Thanks!

My interaction with them was very good. They did an excellent job and the prices were very reasonable. I have used them on a number of occasions earlier. They showed up on time and were very neat and tidy.

After purchasing the chimney sweep deal from Angie's List, I contacted Neat Sweep to schedule a time for service. The representative was very professional and knowledgeable. They arrived on time and start working on the chimney, as they were cleaning it they discover mortar erosion and rainwater penetration. They recommended us not to use the chimneys in their current state and gave us quote to fix the problems. They have been in this business for thirty years and they are very knowledgeable. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to get their chimneys cleaned, fixed or rebuilt

Excellent experience overall. The technician was very knowledgeable and fixed another issue (repointing some brick) for a small additional cost. Also discussed new chimney covers and fixing some problems around top of chimney. I was aware of these issues before hand and never felt like technician was trying to push some other senseless repairs. All work done was outstanding and have high regards for company.

Company advised us that prior owners probably did not clean the chimney in several years. Build-up in chimney was significant but they did not charge us extra. Work was performed very quickly, on the date and time they told us they would be there. We have white, (or...what should be white) carpet around the threshold of the chimney and not a smidge of soot or any evidence they were there was found. We will be using them to clean/inspect our chimney going forward. Excellent experience.

He did a good job. He repaired what was a safety issue in our fireplace. We feel better about burning fires in there now.

When the representative arrived I had requested a chimney sweep but upon inspection, the chimney sweep was not needed. The representative politely role me about a missing flu (which I had known about for some time). The price he gave to install was reasonable and I appreciated the advice. I would use the company again.

The first scheduled appointment had to be rescheduled as the company arrived without the proper size ladder for the chimney. The second appointment had to be rescheduled because one of the workers broke his arm prior to the appointment. On the third appointment scheduled the team was on time and completed the work very successfully with good suggestions. Fortunately my son-in-law is a nurse and has a flexible schedule. Otherwise unnecessary time would have been lost from work.

They were professional, they did the job, they were friendly, and they informed me of what I need to do to maintain my furnace. They are acceptable to use.

It was fine. They do what they say they’ll do. They are kind. The expense is quick. You call them when you need it and where they'll put it and they would bring it on a big truck and place it and then you just call back again when you're ready to have it picked up.

I used them within the last month. They did really good work. He was a technician. He called to say he was on his way. He kept me informed of what he was doing. He kept the place clean and he did some chimney repairs. He took loads of pictures up the chimney and showed me the before and after work. I was very pleased. He was excellent.

We had to have some work done on our chimney. Neat Sweep were fine. The only gripe I have is after we had the work done, they kept calling us wanting to get the work done. But we'd already had the work done, so I tell them that. Their response is they will take us off the call list, but they still call, wanting us to do the same work we've already had done! The price was reasonable.

Our technician was informative, helpful and pleasant. In addition to providing quality cleaning of our chimney, he noticed a large tree limb growing too close to the chimney and recommended we get it cut down before using our fireplace.

Quick response to my first call. Installed the cap for less than the other company that never bothered to show up. Also, found some repairs needed. Came back from the roof with a digital picture of the needed repairs so that I knew it was legitimate. The dispatcher called within 15 minutes to schedule the follow up repair visit. From first call to final work will be three days. Nicely done.

It went great and although I have a special fireplace - made of soapstone - it didn't slow him down, knew what he was doing and made it look easy.
