Neat Sweep

They did a good job. It was excellent. They had to pull something out and get out a dead animal, and they did it great, because I wouldn’t have done it.

I have already used them before and they were okay. They completed their job. I do not have any benchmark to which I could compare them.

Everything was fine. There is nothing really that stood out.

They appeared to be very honest. I have had a company come out before them to look at our fireplace in our home and they had told me I needed Nu Flue and all kinds of stuff. I called Neat Sweep as a secondary estimate and they came out but I didn't tell them that they were secondary estimate, I just had them come out to look at it. They said it was a brand new Flue lining and the chimney was clean but probably needed to be brushed. They said it looked like it had been well maintained. They were on time. The fellow that came was very polite. He cleaned up after himself very well and told me things that I might want to do at a later date. He gave me a written estimate for those. They were just a very professional company. They were probably the lower priced companies in the area. They did an excellent job. They were here when they said they were going to be and they charged me what they said they were going to charge. The guy took the time to explain a few things and I was very well pleased.

The visit was very helpful and I now know what to do in order to make the fireplace work properly.

Service seemed fine for chimney cleaning.

The fireplace had not been used in several years and they were very honest that it did not need to be cleaned after they inspected it. They also advised us about the number of fires we planned to burn each year and how often to have it reinspected. I would use them again.

Called for services on Friday afternoon and was able to get first call following day. Contractor arrived on time with two people. Good deal for $90. Were here for 45 min. Inspected the cap top in the rain. Only negative was that my basement carpet got a little muddy and tracked up because of the weather. I felt they could have been a bit more observant and conscious about tracking up carpet. Other than that I'm pretty happy with the service but felt the estimate to correct cracks in my crown by replacement of whole crown for $400 seemed high but it is about 35 feet high with two flues.

He showed up a little early and inspected the chimney. We were having trouble opening that metal door thingey at the bottom of the chimney. He is going to order the part for us and install it soon. He also discovered a couple of other little problems that he will take care of at the same time. So far they haven't charged us anything, but the estimate is 150.00. Can you imagine? He came out and checked everything and is going to order the part we need and come back and fix everything for that amount? This is the third time we have used Neat Sweep. We are not just happy customers, we are fans!

Chimney professional arrived on schedule, worked efficiently, answered my questions, and left the fireplace and surrounding area spotlessly clean.

They did a good job once they got there. They had to reschedule the first appointment on the day of the appointment. Putting the chimney cap back on my chimney took less than 15 minutes so being charged $65.00 for 15 minutes of work seemed a little pricy. They gave me a quote for a better chimney cap and minor repair to the chimney which is excess of $300.00. Again, a little pricy. Will probably look around to see if I can get a better price.

This company was very prompt and thorough. The service person was very professional and knowledgeable. The whole process was fast and easy. I would definitely use this company again in the future.

We had an estimate from 2 years ago by Neat Sweep for $785. The brick had deteriorated since then, so the price had to be increased, but it was still much less than I would have paid with another mason I contacted who was going to charge over $1000 just for the chimney cap. They started within a week of when we agreed upon the job. It took two full days and a part of a third day. The worker seemed kind of slow, but careful. We had weather interruptions including Hurricane Sandy, so the whole job stretched over nearly 3 weeks. John fully explained each facet of the job before doing it, and we are very pleased with the result.

He came by and gave me an estimate. Came back with the damper and installed it.

I emailed the company twice after I purchased the deal and received no response. Upon calling, I was informed that the email address used in the advertisement was incorrect. I made an appointment and the gentleman showed up on time and was very informative. He told me I did not need a chimney sweep for my furnace flu and that doing so would get soot in my furnace unless they took the whole thing apart. My furnace people would tell me if it needed cleaning, he said. He was extremely knowledgeable, spent time answering my questions and answered several more questions for me with a promise to apply a portion of the fee to future work but I was going to be charged for the visit. After a promise for an estimate and a credit, I have heard nothing since. Given that this company was recommended by Angie's list, I am disappointed I paid money for something and didn't get what I paid for.

They right on top of it. They were right on time. They put the dumpster right where I wanted it. They were much cheaper than other companies that I have looked up.

Excellent service at a great rate. Repaired loose brick and mortar on our front steps sited on the home inspection report for the sale of our home. Their repair passed the re-inspection and we were able to complete the sale of our home on time. Very reasonably priced also.

They do an excellent job. They are very prompt and responsive. I've used them before, and they do a very good job. I was very impressed with them because the house has 5 fireplaces, and he's helped us with all of them.

I was most impressed by their service technician named Carey. He came first time in November 2007. He told me that if my current use of fire log and occasional wood continues, then I would just need it to be done every four years, so to call them in 2010. They came again in April 2010 and did the discount cleaning and inspection for $69. Again they told me that the fireplace chimney had to be done in 2014. I would use them in the future.

We had never had the chimmey cleaned and meant to get a cap for years. With the house being over 20 years old , thought it was time. Dave provided pictures on a camera to confirm the problems he found. He also took care of scheduling the next appt and I received a call to confirm they were scheduled the day before. Very smooth process. Total for Cleaning, Cap and Repairs ended up being $504.

I am satisfied with their services. I would use them again.
