The work went very quickly. Between an storm that shut schools down for two days, the work and inspections were done in 21/2 weeks. They cleaned up after work. Were in and out everyday before 4:30pm. This work was well coordinated between, the engineer work, electrical, drywall and state inspections. We would use Mr Lantz and his group again without a question, I do recommend L. W Lantz and Company for any remodeling projects. He also is a realtor, so he has an eye for what sells and looks good.

New floors, new paint, new hardwood stairs, staining...great job

When I bought the "Angie's list Big Deal", Wayne called within 30 minutes. They came when they said they would and finished the job in the estimated time frame. The dry wall was finished a little rough but that is the only problem I had. I was so pleased with the results that I had them come back and do the rest of my kitchen remodel. Mark really knows his carpentry. I have an older home with less than level floors, and less than square walls but Mark was able to install all of the cabinets perfectly so that none of the flaws are noticeable. They did subcontract out the drywall for the main remodel so every thing was seamless. I also had some requests that were out of the realm of a usual remodel but they were able to accommodate me. I would hire them again and recommend them.

The search went really well. Wayne displayed great knowledge of the local area. He also is able to answer most questions that have to do with repairs, upgrades and general maintainence die to the fact that he is a contractor as well. Wayne gives you the opportunity to "hit two birds with one stone" if your in the real estate market but also need repairs done and/or upgrades done. Overall, the experience was a truly positive one that I do not regret at all.

The first visit was very productive and helped me reach a understanding with the contractor on my top priorities. After the initial visit the work schedule was made to fit my schedule and the work was performed as promised in a respectful, professional, and punctual manner. I would definitely recommend and not hesitate to use this company again.

We purchased a special via Angie's List that included 40 hrs of work for a pre-paid fee. Agreement was signed with Wayne Lantz prior to work starting. We listed the items we wanted to have completed and he advised us about the feasiblity and time required for our list. He sent one employee, who was perhaps the most knowledgeable and talented repair person we have had. He took pride in doing things the right way. He scraped & primed before painting and when he couldn't find a stoop post that matched the one that was not rotted, he replaced the top on the good one to match the new one he installed. He did all work in a timely, careful and very professional manner. They purchased some of the materials they needed and we paid them for the items at the end. We obtained the fixtures we wanted but check with them on suitability. From the start we all thought they might need more time to complete the post light installation since the wiring had to be buried 18 inches underground and the connections were in the crawl space,. Though it all took a bit more than 40 hours, we were very satisfied with the all the work and results. They were good in communicating and explaining. They always advised us when they were coming and were honest, friendly and quite excellent in their work.

They were very slow to get back to me. I came out and looked at the project about a month ago. He didn't get back to me in a timely manner. He came back and did the estimate it was $20,000 higher than any deal that I have got for doing about half of the work. They were not even close.

Considering that this was their first ever bar they built, it went fantastic. The finished product is everything I imagined and more. They were very helpful and explained everything very well. I'd definitely use them again.

I wish I could tell you how it went. Nobody from this company has EVER gotten back with me to schedule and appointment. Have moved on as I have no desire to do business with a company that is non-responsive.

They came out promptly, and gave me an estimate, and they were fine to deal with. I wold consider using them for future estimates.

Mr. Lantz did not perform the work for this job, since I had already signed a contract with another contractor. However, I'm sure he would have done a great job.

They did a fantastic job. From the prep work to the finishing touches they made sure that everything was done correctly. Wayne and his crew communicated clearly throughout to ensure that I was happy with the overall outcome. They were even pleasant when waiting an hour or two for inspectors to arrive. I highly recommend them for home renovation.

Wayne was a pleasure to work with. He sent Mark to do the work, and he was punctual, efficient, and had good suggestions. Everything on the list was done, and even some things that weren't on the list. In the end, they made sure I was happy with the work. I actually ended up with a little extra time left, so Mark told me he'd come back and install light fixtures for me that were on order and hadn't arrived yet. I would recommend L.W. Lantz to anyone!

When an item needs repairs, Wayne responds quickly and follows up to be sure the fix is still working.

We were pleased with the quality of work and their eagerness to please the customer. Wayne offered to pick up the supplies needed for the project and presented us with the receipt so we could reimburse him. The Angie's List Deal we purchased was Contractor for a Week (40 hours with one worker). We agreed that it would be best to have two men for 20 hours each to complete our projects. From our experience, we suggest that you carefully plan which tasks are best suited for this type of deal. Wayne wisely noted that customers are most satisfied when the contractor is allowed to bring a project to completion, rather that doing small, unrelated tasks all over the house. Our basement, bathroom, and window projects were completed. We chose to continue the kitchen wallpaper removal project ourselves after the team completed their 40 hours. I would recommend the this Angie's List Deal offered by Wayne Lantz. We were very pleased with the quality work performed and the professionalism of the team.

I bought the $1500 Angie's List deal and Wayne called me within a few a hours to set up a meeting. I needed a wall built between my kitchen and stairs with electrical outlets. We met on Saturday at my house to discuss the plans and they started work on Monday. They were happy to work around my schedule and finished building the wall and painting my entire stairwell within a span of 3 days. The new wall was kind of rough after painting. It could have been cleaned off better after sanding to make for a smoother paint job. That was really my only objection to their work. The workers were courteous and worked well together. The overall experience was great and I would recommend them for any work that you need done in your house.

I purchased the "big deal" coupon late one evening and Wayne Lantz called me first thing the next morning to discuss my needs and schedule time to come review what I wanted done. Communication was great as we worked out times and settled on a day for the work to begin. Carpenters showed up on time on the scheduled date and were very competent and professional. (The deal was for 40 hrs of work. The two carpenters were on the job for 20 hrs, or 2 1/2 days.) Extremely pleased with the work. All rotten wood was carefully removed without damaging surrounding areas and replaced with new trim. Looks good as new. Difficult to tell any repair work was done. The large 16-light bay window is original to the home (1956) and much of the exterior trim on the mullions separating the glass panes had rotted. (Glass panes were held in place with small pieces of trim instead of window glazing.) All rotten or missing trim was replaced with window glazing. All trim joints were well caulked and painting was skillfully done with primer and finish coats. Again, very pleased with their work and will hire them again.

We hired LW Lantz via one of the Angie's deals- fixed week of man-hours for $1500. With this we made considerable progress on a number of projects in our home, including the removal of a large built-in cabinet in our dining room (including a reface of the wall), rebuild of a pantry closet, misc repairs within other areas of our home, and significant remodel of our family room. We spent an additional ~$1000 with the team to move us further towards completing our projects, although on the latter two we are taking some additional time to figure out what we precisely want in terms of finished look, etc. The owner (Wayne) is a high-integrity guy, and we are overall very satisfied with the value we got from him and his team. This includes the overage part of the project (which was still hourly but at closer to a market rate). Wayne spec-ed project, bought materials, provided direction to his guys. Those sent to our home were on time, conscious, hard-working/diligent (important with the hour-based deals), and competent. As alluded above, we did not finish two of the projects, but that is a function of us to taking a breather to figure out what we want in terms of finished look, and reassess our priorities financially. The only other thing I would say related to the Angie's deals is that the onus is much more on you to make sure you optimize the project and how time is spent- if we could do this project over again, I would have spent more time thinking through things on the front end (in this case, perhaps having them be more focused from the get-go) to avoid having things end with some loose ends. Again- this is little to do with Wayne; it's more the nature of the structure of the "Deals"- I would not hesitate to recommend him.

We did not use this firm to do the work but the interview and site visit went very well. It is obvious that they know the business and have a great track record.

The work performed was as quoted and exceed my expectations.

We had a broken joist under the house that had crushed part of the furnace piping. I called Mr. Lantz and in 15 minutes someone was here. They cut out and replaced the broken portion of the joist and further supported it with two house jacks. They replaced the crushed piping and I called the furnace service company to check out the furnace before turning it back on. The furnace service company said the work was excellent and everything was safe. We have never had such great response time and when all was finished we felt safe and secure again.

Our roof job was excellent. It is so beautiful. The old roof was completely shoveled off and all the nails removed. We had several boards that needed replaced and after that was completed, new felt and ice shield paper was installed. The new 3-D shingles were put on and it looks beautiful because of all the careful prep work. We were advised to install a ridge vent. The roof had never had a vent before. The crew cleaned up EVERYTHING. They even ran a magnet over the yard and gardens to pick up the stray nails. The contractor was kind enough to remind us to cover anything in the attic. Believe me, this is a must and we were glad for the "heads-up".

Once again, a perfect and beautiful job. The porch had cracked down the center and was collapsing. The concrete slab was about 4" thick but we were not sure what it was resting on. The concrete was busted out and hauled away. The backfill was smoothed out and rebar was install to prevent sinking. Concrete was poured and smoothed out to a broom finish. It looks beautiful. It is now safe and we no longer fear it is going to "fall" through. We were offered tinted concrete and/or patterned finish but due to the possible weather change, after all it is December, we decided to have a clean finish. We made the right decision and are very pleased with the job. The time estimate was 2 days but it was finished in one.

Perfect job. The protective molding round the square porch pillars need to be replaced. Due to the age of the house, they actually had to be made and Mark made them beautifully. We are pleased to say it secured the pillars, will protect the pillars from water and it is consistent with the profile of the house. As always, the work was started when promised and finished in half day. We are so please with the beauty of the work and the price. We are so glad we found this company!

This company is great. They are wonderful! They started on time and finished two days ahead of schedule despite Irene and loss of power in the neighborhood. They kept us informed each day of what they were doing that day and what was planned for the next day. Plus, at the end of the day, they hauled out any mess created and vacuumed. They were always here when they said they would be here. We were open to suggestions for our big change and ask that they be candid about our choices with better choices. We got exactly what we wanted and so much more. We combined textures, workability and color with amazing results. We highly recommend this company and we would certainly use them for future home changes.
