Wayne was very responsive and patient, and handled the entire project very well. His team did good work too, and in a few instances where we saw minor flaws, Wayne made sure that his team fixed them promptly. He even went above and beyond what he was contracted to do, such as by helping us return a vanity to Home Depot, and installing a new toilet valve in another bathroom when he noticed that it was broken. While the total cost was a few thousand dollars higher than what other companies quoted, Wayne's responsiveness made up for it.

Very well, despite this being a 61 years old house with plaster walls, having to contend with a load bearing wall and having to move electrical lines.

It went absolutely amazing! Mr. Lantz and his crew were great. Mark his "foreman" was the best. We couldn't have been more pleased with both of them and the work was outstanding. They were prompt, cleaned up after themselves everyday, great problem solvers and professional. We are so happy with the outcome of our new "great" room. If you need any work done to your home, Mr. Lantz is the man to call. We plan on hiring him again to do more work on our home in the near future.

Wayne was our realtor over a 2.5 year period. Since we were fortunate to not rush into buying a home, we were able to wait until we could find the right house for us. Wayne was with us for the entire period visiting homes across the Hanover, Henrico and Chesterfield areas. By having his construction background, he was essentially a general contractor visiting homes with us calling out any red flags that might cost us money later on. Never did we feel pressured into any situation - in fact, Wayne often times gave us his sincere opinion that there might be better options for us. He was absolutely right, we finally found our perfect home and are now living happily in it. Since he was such a gentlemen during the process, we will now hire him to remodel a few areas that we will eventually do. Not only did we get a home when meeting Wayne, we got a friend!

The carpenter was very detailed and provided quality work. Wayne (the owner) came by nearly every day to check on the progress and consult on the design. He was very hands on and took a lot of pride in doing honest. quality work.

Wayne is a great choice for a realtor due to his background in contractual work, home building and renovations, and his knowledge of the styles of homes in Richmond. I felt like each walk through was close to being a home inspection, as he provided valuable information on the structure, wiring, and history of the home as we walked around based on his observations. I never felt pressured into any decisions. Wayne provided objective information which helped me to make decisions throughout the process. Wayne was always ready to go see houses when I asked even on the weekends. He was professional throughout the process and was able to provide quality recommendations for companies to use for the home inspection and lawyer. I am glad I chose Wayne to be my realtor and would definitely recommend him to others.

It was average. I had no complaints.

The cold created a crack in the fitting that connected the feeder line to the water heater. After shutting the water off, I called Mr Lantz to see about a repair. He came out in the snow, evaluated the issue, repaired the line and replaced the fitting. When it was clear that the thermostat had blown due to moisture from the leak, he quickly ordered the part and had it installed the next day. Very responsive service and he only charged me for the part, no labor. I will definitely use Mr Lantz again as he has always provided great customer service.

I received two quotations to replace a damaged frame around my front door. I went with Mr. Lantz because he was the most responsive and thorough in his assessment of the work to be done. After work commenced and the door frame was removed, it was discovered I had some historic termite damage to wall studs around the front door. What started as a somewhat routine job became a much more extensive project. Mr. Lantz and his associate made a thorough survey of the damage and work to be done. Their process to scope out the expanded project was efficient and thorough. They lost no time to remove and replace the door frame, dry wall, studs and exterior siding. They were careful to do no more work than absolutely necessary. Their workmanship and the materials used were of the highest quality. The project was completed with inside dry wall and outside siding prepared, ready to paint. Overall, I was impressed with their ongoing communication of work progress, their concentration on obtaining best materials and their professionalism. I would not hesitate to call on L. W. Lantz and Co. to perform work of this type in the future and recommend his company to anyone.

Planning to put the home on the market and wanted a professional opinion on what needed to be done and a value of our home,They came out as promised and did a cursory walk through of the home. Not a real close look and he came up with no recommendations. We did have a discussion about the value and he brought information on comps. The discussions and the information on the market and home values was worth the $29 paid.

Mr. Lantz came to my home to give me a real estate consultation. He is very easy going and informative but not pushy. He walked through my home and pointed out areas I may want to remodel to get my home ready for sale. He did not try to oversell me or get me to remodel things that were in good shape. He offered advice on how to make changes of my own that were easy and affordable. I was quite surprised that his list and my list matched quite well and there were no surprises. He came ready with a professional booklet on sales information related to my home and presented it to me on our first meeting. Due to my own procrastination I did not get the information back to him on flooring to get an estimate of the work. However, I have recently contacted him with the information and am looking forward to getting the estimates and getting the work down. I like that he has knowledge in realty as well as in remodeling. I also like that I can use him to remodel as well as to sell in the future. I look forward to working with him. He seemed really easy to work with.

Fantastic workmanship! Owner Wayne Lantz was terrific! He was friendly, knowledgeable, punctual and either texted or called me daily to give me updates. The carpenter, Mark, was also very professional, friendly, punctual, reliable and competent. All workmanship met and, sometimes, exceeded our expectations. Mark's carpentry and paint skills produced great results! Although the price was somewhat higher than the estimates we received from other contractors, we selected Lantz because of the glowing comments of other customers on Angie's List. So glad we did!

It was great. Mark (who did all of the work) was pleasant, efficient, always on time, and skilled. He had to do a wide range of services, nothing ever stumped him, and the work was well done. Wayne Lantz, who coordinated the project, was really easy to work with -- really accommodating.

It was great and they were awesome. They were one of the better contractors with the quality of their work. It was not clear in the deal that it was more handyman services and not contractor services. They were head and shoulders above the rest. One guy came out to do the work each day and they were very flexible and were able to scatter the times around because I had other contractors working in the house.

They weren't able to do the work for us, but I was very pleased with our first impression.

I high recommend LW Lantz & Co. The company renovated acquired rental properties on two occasions; the first property was in 2012. It was a complete success, from start to finish. On our initial meeting Wayne Lantz was able to develop an itemized scope of work with cost estimates. Comparing against other received estimates from other contractors, I valued the effort, detail, and time put into the proposal by LW Lantz. Throughout the project updates were regularly communicated, and I was very pleased with the quality and detail of the work performed. The project was completed on time, and within budget; very pleased with the work of LW Lantz & Co. The 2nd project was in late 2013 on another purchased foreclosure. Again, I was pleased with the renovation project from the start to the completion. The quality of the work was great, consistent with the 1st project. The project went according to plan. Project deadline met, on budget, and the renovation results looked great. Property showed well, and rented quickly; another project success.

I purchased the "contractor for a week" deal through Angie's List, and I was thoroughly satisfied with the work of this company. The quality of the work was great, and the communication was very open and responsive. I got all of my December projects completed with a few hours to spare, so Mr. Lantz let me "bank" the time. I was recently in a situation where I needed to have a large table and 8 chairs put together, and was able to use my banked time for this task, which worked out really nice for me. Everything looks great and I am a happy customer. I would highly recommend them.

It was sometimes hard to schedule worktimes. Post-work cleanup was a problem...as in, not always done.When the panelling was replaced, the deck rail was cut, making it unstable, and it was not fixed until at least the second time I asked. The work was done well but I had to have them come back and fix things again twice. They were very pleasant to work with.

He and his crew were great. No complaints. A lot of tedious work but they finished in a timely manner ans the results are excellent.

Mark spent the week in our mudroom as above and did a fabulous job--we added a few requests in while he was here for the week and he was so patient in listening to our ideas and trying to make them possible. He is very detail oriented and takes great pride in his work--even the smallest portions of the job got his full attention. As above, he got quite a bit done in a little less than the five days that were purchased. Mr. Lantz was very accessible and returned phone calls quickly. I would definitely utilize their services again.
