They were very good. I appreciate what they had said and everything was fine.

The job went terrific. The crew arrived very early and began stripping the old roof. This was a very tedious and messy job. Full ground covers were used to catch all the debris. The crew worked continuously with no breaks for almost 9 hours. They cleaned up a ton of debris - you could not tell they were ever there except for beautiful new roof. The following week was very rainy and I'm happy to report my Christmas was cozy and dry. I obtained three estimates for this job. CTR was the lowest cost but I could not ask for higher quality. Consider me a very happy customer.

He was very professional. He check my roof and sealed where necessary. He gave me his honest opinion regarding the state/condition of my roof.

Was told one guy but got two :). I have a slate roof that is tamarite. They included this in the deal and also. They were nice guys and took time, were knowledgeable and communicative. This company will be my new roofers. Thanks CTR and TJ. Happy Holidays to you and yours.

Prompt communication from the owner. One man job, very professional and answered all of my questions. There was a major rainstorm the next day, so I am very pleased that the work got done rather fast after my initial inquiry.

CTR was coming to do some repairs to my roof. They were unable to since my roof is beyond repairs, so they didn't do any work.

10/5 This is an update to my earlier very negative review posted below. Chuck, the company owner called me the day after I posted the review. We were not able to resolve how the mix-up in scheduling occurred, but he did offer to give me a complete refund for my service. I declined the refund because I really wanted the service to be performed while I was at home so I could tell the technician where I am having a problem with my flashing and also so I can understand any problems found with my roof. Chuck was courteous and professional and offered to reschedule the service, which we have now scheduled for later this month. I've changed my rating to a "C" and will update my rating further after the service is complete. For now, I am satisfied with Cross TImbers response to my experience. 9/30 I scheduled this service with Cross Timbers (I believe originally for morning of 9/22) for a time when I could be present. All day went by and they did not show, so I called T.J. the scheduler and he maintained that I had called to change the date to 9/30. I had not called and had not changed the date. I told him that 9/30 did not suit me as I could not be here that day. TJ said since 9/30 would not work, he would fit me in the next morning. The next day came and went and no sign of Cross Timbers. After being away several days, I determined I would call TJ this week to schedule again, but imagine my surprise when I returned home and found Cross Timbers had come today (9/30), the day I told TJ I did not want them to come. They left me a note stating they had inspected my roof and (surprise!) found work they said needs to be done. However, they found no need to do anything to my flashing. If they had come when I was home as I requested, I could have told them where I was having a problem with my flashing. I feel like I have just poured $199 down the drain. After my scheduling experience, I would not use this company to do my work. This is the worst experience I've had with an Angie's List company and I will be very careful about my use of Big Deals in the future.

They came out and determined that flashing had been incorrectly installed which was causing our roof leaks. Came back the next day and completed the work. In and out and you'd never know they were there. Will definitely consider this company when we are ready to replace the roof

I really appreciate the repairs until I can afford to replace my roof.

Daniel Luniewski came out promptly to quote and promptly emailed the bid approximately 2 weeks later. They scheduled the job on 8/7/2014. They promptly showed up and did a great job!

I live in the fan in a 1400 square foot row house. They told me the back roof would take 3-4 days and the front would take about the same. I figured it would be done in stages, but the progress was incredibly slow. It took them 40 days to "finish" both portions and it still leaked. Their workers made a constant mess, at one point they left razor blades on my front railing (eye level for my two year old daughter). They kept promising more people, better people, but to no avail. The same installer messed up a lot of the work and was fired. I asked that he not come back to my job should he be rehired. Guess where he was on Monday? My house. He admitted that he was not skilled at slate work and flashing, but said the company had no one else to do it. My roof has leaked badly three times since April and they made no effort to dry out my attic insulation or the damaged plaster. I emailed and called the owner multiple times and he was non responsive. They rarely returned my calls or listened to what I had to say. When they did talk to me they never admitted fault and tried to tell me how great everything looks. I am a contractor and I know that everything does not look right. There was only one manager who was actually honest with me, but it was not enough to get it right. Their fixes were sloppy, they caulked my attic hatch closed last time. They had to redo the slate work several times as it was wrong. Also I asked for the flashing to tuck into the brick as it was intended, they caulked it to the brick. This is wrong. It is already peeling off in places. They did not finish the coping work (covers the top of wall) specified on the contract stating that brick work had yet been done. The brick had been re-pointed before they began. I could go on and on about these guys. I am currently trying to find a company that can repair the damage they have done to my 1917 home. I would not use them for an older home or any home for that matter. It has been the worst experience I have ever had with a company. And they are at the top of the list......

Showed up on time and replaced garage roof in apx. 4 hours. I got a deal on the 50 year (lifetime) shingles.

They were prompt and finished the job in a timely manner. They had to coordinate their work with the company that was replacing the window. We are very pleased with the results.

Couple of weeks ago during a heavy rain storm our roof started leaking. We had two more heavy rain after that without any leak, but nonetheless, I wanted the roof checked. Due to rain, the company was late in checking our roof. I was told that there were three holes near our skylight, and they fixed it. Additionally, I was told there was three shingles that were loose. They also nailed those loose shingles.

We had an inspection and there were issues with the roofing. It went very well. They were very professional. They cleaned up after themselves, especially with the nails. There were 3 man crew. There was 2 men that worked on the roof and and 3rd man brought supplies. After they were finished I checked the roof and it was fine. They used all new materials. It has rain since then and there have been no leaks.

I found CTR through Angie's list when searching for a good roofer. I have heard horror stories of people getting ripped off by bad roofing contractors. CTR did a great job - did not try to sell me a new roof. gave me and honest assessment, made all needed repairs and was a pleasure to deal with. The price was very reasonable. I strongly recommend them. I definitely will use them when I do need a new roof.

The service tech did an excellent job: sealing vents, sealing loose shingles.

The contractor came on time to inspect the roof. I pointed out some additional work I wanted done. Contractor returned on the scheduled date to complete the work.

This provider was very responsive following the purchase as well as scheduling the appointment. Tim Jones was very impressive on the phone. From the very beginning, I felt like I was dealing with a top-notch company who valued me as a customer. The gentleman who came to do the actual inspection looked at a couple of trouble spots inside the house and worked very hard to locate the problem on the roof. He was very thorough in his explanation of what I needed to do to address any future problems. I would recommend that the company provide throw away shoe cover ups for their roofers when they have to come into carpeted areas inside the house.

They quickly identified the source of my leaking roof and installed new vent pipe covers to stop the leaks. Highly professional and responsive. I was very impressed and would use them again without hesitation.

The roofers promptly came by at appointed time for both the estimate/ evaluation and came as they said to do the job. I was shown pictures of the problems and told exactly what repairs would be done and materials that would be used. I felt respected, understood, and confident that the job would be done well at a reasonable cost. It was.
