CTR - Cross Timbers Roofing

We had roofing done through CTR a few years back and I gave them a review of 4 stars. I thought highly of the office staff and not very highly of the workmanship. We noticed that we started to have a lot of molding on our vaulted ceilings, and walls were sweating in the summer. Then about 4 years in, we had our first major leak appear in our guest bedroom. We called CTR and they sent a guy to see where the leak was and patch it, if possible. He did what he did and with the next torrential downpour, the roof leaked again. We also started seeing another major leak in the main section of our living room. My husband, being proactive on fixing things at our house, went up and patched the room again where the first CTR employee came out to fix it. Obviously, it wasn't done correctly. At this point, we had two leaks and a service employee taking guesses on where the leak was coming from and not actually fixing the issue. I contacted CTR and spoke with managers about how I didn't trust the workmanship from the first time the roof went on and again with the employee that came out to try to fix the roof. I requested that the entire roof be redone because they couldn't definitively tell me where the leaks were starting and I didn't want to keep having to fix my ceiling dry wall that currently has water damage and waiting on them to actually fix the issue. They refused to come and redo the roof, took the time to make mention that since my we went up and fixed the roof that we voided our warranty, and said they'd be happy to sending someone to patch the sections that were leaking as the leaks occurred. Unfortunately, we decided to hire another company and pay for a 2nd roof in under 5 years. The new company came out and went over all the issues that they saw from CTR's job. What we thought was a strange occurrence of high humidity sweating and molding from our vaulted ceilings was actually because CTR removed our vents that were on the house prior to and CTR never put them back on. Per the roofer, "we had to correct venting issues that were taken away by the roofer before us." We, as owners, know there were vents there and know CTR did not replace the vents. Again, this was either poor workmanship or lack of understanding on how to properly roof a vaulted ceiling home. CTR only replaced a few plywood boards (less than 5 from the original roof that was 25 years old or more). The new company came in and tore out 19 plywood boards because of all the damage, which tells me that CTR's crew left boards on that should have been replaced from the get-go or the workmanship was so poor weather caused damage to the plywood. Per the new company, "We had to properly seal the new flashing that wasn't done before to stop some of the leaking." Of course, I'm sure they will write a response telling me the same thing they did on the phone and that normally clients call every time something pops up so that it's taken care of. Unfortunately, we pride ourselves on fixing issues at our home, especially when professionals can't seem to get the job done themselves. Like I said previously, I don't have time to wait for another leak to pop up, wait for CTR to come out, all while watching the water damage collect on my ceilings. Yes, they did offer to continue to come out and try to fix the issues, however, we had lost our trust in the company's reliability to do a good job long ago. We are very happy with our new roofer and the job they have done on our 2nd new roof! It's just a shame that we had to spend so much money to get it done right the 2nd time around.

CTR was very professional and courteous. They not only fixed the leaks but explained why they did what they had to do to repair them.

Raymond came out and checked overhead window, bathroom pipes, and went inti attic. Found a roof vent leaking. One trip, about an hour and it was done. Had a huge rain storm 2 days later. No leak. I had trouble getting a handyman service to come out and check this out. CTR was responsive and got it done!

We requested a quote to replace our roof from Cross Timbers Roofing and were impressed with their professionalism and detail. Graham did a great job understanding our needs and providing us a very detailed quote broken down with various shingle options. Additionally, he set a virtual site for our house to view various renderings of the shingles choices. Although, we chose to go with a different company in the end we would consider them in future.

I’m so glad my husband called CTR first. From the time we reported a leak in our living room. Someone contacted my husband. Arrangements were made for inspection, estimate cost of repairs were accessed. Appointed time was arranged for repairs. Everything was set in order. No confusion, no delays. After the Technician was done with his work. He cleaned up. He did a great job. We are very pleased, and very satisfied. I recommend CTR for roofing repair.

CTR was timely in both investigating the cause of the problem and the solution. They also promptly set up an appointment and effected repairs. I am very pleased with the repairs and their professionalism. I had been to other roofers who only appeard interested in replacing the roof not repairing it. CTR listened and immediately looked to repar it not replace it. I highly recommend them to anyone needing repair or replacement and they will be my roofer of choice for any future roofing needs.

It appears all the leaks are fixed at a very reasonable price. The repair man was very knowledgeable.

After I called to schedule an appointment they waited almost 2 weeks to return my call. By then I already had another company perform the service and no longer needed them. Then a week or so later they sent me an invoice for materials and services rendered when I never even spoke to the technician and never scheduled an appointment. I need them to rectify this immediately and provide evidence of zero balance due.

Repair was top-quality. The bedroom ceiling below the roof area was previously getting wet and stained during rainy weather; the ceiling has since remained dry after the repair was made.

Cross Timbers are professional, reliable and easy to work with, would highly recommend them for future work.

The whole experience was amazing! To be honest, I was dreading the whole thing. They made the whole process a breeze! After a frustrating year of trying to find root cause of leak in our chimney I contacted Cross Timbers roofing as a consultant to help us pinpoint the root cause. They quickly responded and after diligent investigation found and repaired the sloppy work that had been performed by stone masons. To insure they covered all possible breakdowns they investigated all three chimneys. Following the completion of their work we were hit with a 2 day hurricane.... NO LEAKS! These tradesmen are the types of professionals you want as your team. We are now raving fans of Cross Timber.

"It" actually went tremendously well. The dormer on front of house was leaking water as my bedroom ceiling will attest. I called the company that replaced my roof a few years ago, and found that it was now Cross Timbers Roofing. Explained the situation to them, and, I can't remember if it was the same day or the next, but their promptness showing up with several very professional folks impressed me. They were all young men who definitely knew their profession. They told me the problem, (a hole in the dormer) and the flashing letting water in. They offered several suggestions, gave me a price and left. My wife and I talked it over, settled on the more attractive solution and called CTR with our decision. One of the men who had given me the estimate came out in a very short time, did the job in a very short time, and in a very short time I received an invoice from Cross Timbers Roofing for the exact price we had agreed upon. I know I've used many words to describe a very satisfied customer. The promptness, professionalism and politeness of everyone we dealt with ensures that I will definitely use their services going forward.
