It did not.
Description of Work: CTR replaced roofs on both buildings 17 years ago with 30 year premium roof. Have potential hail damage and several leaks. They would not inspect without a service call. No followup.

I am very sorry to learn of your dissatisfaction of CTR. CTR does not perform roof inspections as a stand alone service, this is due to their being companies that perform this service that can provide a better field report because they specialize in just inspections. When we dispatch service technicians there are costs involved that must be covered i.e. labor, fuel, vehicle expense etc.. Our technicians are kept busy performing needed repairs for many homeowners, so removing them from that function costs money. Since you say you have leaks, our service techs come out prepared to complete repairs during their initial visit. If repairs cannot be completed at that time due to one of several reasons, we happily remove our initial service call fee from any follow up trip to complete repairs. Description of Work: Roof Tile Repair. The one snag was that the repairman didn't bring tiles with him even though the color was asked for and given to the office administrator over the phone. The repairman stated that he needed to see the roof tiles to be able to match the color. So I had to pay the cost of a whole pack of about 20 tiles when the repairman went to a local distributor when I only needed about 3. And the color didn't exactly match the existing tiles after all that.

The account notes do reflect that our service department assistant corresponded with you via email regarding the color of your shingles prior to the service technician being dispatched to your home to complete the repair. The shingles the technician brought to your property during the initial visit were the best match we had in our company stock to your email description of "sandy brown like sand paper". During site inspection, the technician became aware that the supplies in his possession were not the best possible match for the manufacturer's shingle color & type that had been previously installed on your roof. There are hundreds of shingle types available and we pride ourselves in trying to best match the existing shingle when completing a repair to minimize the visual effect of completing a repair to an aged roof. The technician did purchase the exact manufacturer match for your existing shingles at a local supply distributor and returned to your property to replace the shingles that had been damaged by animals. As with any existing roof, shingles do fade in color once they have been exposed to the elements of nature and even though the new shingles installed were a manufacturer match to your existing shingles, homeowners will notice a color variation due to the saturated color of a newly installed shingle versus the sun faded color of the same shingle type that has been on a roof for some time. I understand that you were less than satisfied that you were charged $36.76 for shingle material. This supply charge was only a portion of the bundle price our company paid to purchase the exact shingle match for your repair which involved a specific color that is not among the 30+ varieties of shingles we keep on hand for repairs. The technician replaced 6 shingles on your home which represented approximately 30% of the total shingles purchased from the supplier in the smallest amount available for purchase. We plan to use your comments for training purposes with our service department staff so they become more aware of the service, material, and pricing concerns of our roof repair customers. Confusion may have occurred because the big deal you purchased, covers the main home structure and did not include your detached garage/storage structure.Our service technicians are instructed to review the inspection findings with each homeowner that is present at the property during the service visit. The technician replaced a torn shingle, patched multiple nail holes in shingles, sealed around the fasteners in the apron flashing, and sealed around the metal vent ridge cap in the roof of the main home structure. We dispatched a technician to your property for a second visit at no additional charge to assist with an existing leak in your garage structure after you contacted us about the additional structure and our technician encountered difficulties gaining access to the interior of the structure during 2 attempts to address your concerns in December 2015. We apologize that our estimator did not provide you with the roof replacement estimate in a timely manner. We hope to use your comments as a training tool for our staff to improve our processes and follow-up with our customers in the future.

Description of Work: The technician performed a thorough inspection of the entire roof. He found and repaired a leak on the front of the house. The flashing around the chimney was caulked as well as caulking around a sky light. Description of Work: It went ok. Price was very good but roofing work is very hard to verify quality of work. They had to replace some plywood and reflash 2 sky lights. The sky light don't leak any more so that is good but time will tell on the quality of repairs.

The estimator arrived promptly with the color samples. Upon selecting the product and color, the company was very responsive to the dates of installation as requested by my contractor. They performed the work as promised and cleaned up the area where old shingles had to be removed from the original structure. Overall, an excellent experience.

Cross Timbers Roofing impressed me with their professionalism by his crew. I thought they worked hard from start to finish. They cleaned up any mess there was before leaving each day. I was happy with the ending results. I felt comfortable with these guys. They seemed like good hard workers. I was unsure of what the price was.
