CTR - Cross Timbers Roofing

Folks were prompt and courteous. Did the Big Deal inspection and repair, and recommended about $600 of additional repair work. Had them do the add'l work -it was on time and on estimate, and seems to be quailty work (from what I can tell). I would use them again.

Inspected house roof. Said there were no issues to fix. Quoted price to replace roof on garden shed. Seemed reasonable quote.

Our experience was very positive. I do not think they needed to do any caulking; the roof is kind of at its last leg. We were satisfied. We paid $295 additional apart from the Big Deal amount to replace the shingles and to take off the satellite dish. My wife was here and I never met them but overall they were pleasant, they were not rude or anything. They showed up on time, when they said they would be here; which is always pleasant.

In the process of getting estimates for some comprehensive roof (slate) and gutter repair, CVTR were the only company that required an inspection fee for $75 to just come on the property and look at the job. As they had a good reputation, I paid for the $75 up front and they arrived on the time they committed. Then a month passed, nothing. I emailed them twice for an estimate (that I had in effect paid for) and received a 1 sentence email giving me a rough estimate with no indication of the scope of the project they were estimating. I asked for a more detailed quote along with follow up questions concerning what their estimate covered...again, weeks go by with no correspondence. I again send another note and was then told I should probably go with someone else as they did not do gutters. With a $75 up front fee, I would have expected the best service. I got the worst. I was amazed at the amateur level of this company. definitely DO NOT recommend

Paid for the "big deal" hoping to have some minor roof repairs but that wasn't done.....just performed a general inspection for $169 and found the source of a leak. Replaced a section of roof for an additional $900+ to repair the leak. The price seemed excessive for what was done.....I was not pleased about the work and they were responsive to my concerns. However, they still have not made a few minor repairs of broken shingles as they said they would. Also, they did not honor the Angie's list discount.

The service man came in as scheduled. He finished his inspection pretty quickly and tell us there are few places where parts need to be replaced. My wife told him that we noticed there are water marks on the ceiling which does not related to the issue he said. He returned and started to clean leaves on the roof so he could see a hole underneath. It turned our that he never bothered to clean out the leaves to have a complete inspection. He left the report but refused to leave the photos he took during the inspection (he said he need his boss's grant to release to us, but we never received them). It sounds weird because the pictures are taken on our property so we should have right to access to. When we asked him if he did any maintenance he said everything is fine so he did nothing. We felt the service man's inspection was not very professional and complete. We cannot trust his work since he obviously did not perform thorough inspection at the first time. It would have given us false sense of security because not all the issues have been identified. For $150, I would say this is not a good deal at all(let alone a "big deal"). It's just a everyday price and gives contractor lead for more business. I would not buy any so call "big deal" again.

They did a very good job. All is well and that is very good to know. I was well pleased with their work. They send out two person and that's reasonable for the work done. They were very responsive for the request.

Inspection went fine but I'm still waiting for the bill.

Called got appointment, guys showed up on time, very friendly, got up on the roof, ascertained the situation, discovered the boot had a hole in it, filled hole temporarily with caulk to keep water out until repairs. Quoted me a price, sounded good, asked when they could come back out thinking they would say in a week or so, instead pleasantly surprised me with service the next day. Next day came by on time, did the work, quickly, and left. Bill came in the mail a couple days later.

Communication was great, service tech was punctual and professional.....would gladly call for any future needs.

They did a wonderful job! Inspected the roof and cleaned as asked even found areas and fixed them at no charge. Would highly recommend and use again!

I called them late on a Fri. afternoon, and was promptly called back that same day and told someone would call me Monday, which they did. I told him one problem was that I get flooded in the front on one side when it rains; the other problem was that my fascia boards were rotting and needed replacing because of the rain soaking them. He said they'd get back to me, his purpose was to find out what I wanted an estimate on. At the end of the week they called with an estimate; and said that they didn't perform fascia repairs/replacements. The problem with flooding was a surprise to him, and he said that was not included in the estimate. Which means they were already all around my house, measuring, without my knowledge. He said they'd appreciate a call back once I get the fascia boards replaced. And he did call the next week to see if I got the fascia boards repaired and wanted him to replace my gutters. Now, while they certainly placed phone calls promptly, I'm flabbergasted that they don't repair what the gutters attach to. I don't like that they happily traipse all over my property without taking one minute to find out what I want or need before happily traipsing all over my property. I wouldn't have had them out since they don't repair fascia boards, and my guess is they also don't address rain-flow problems since it wasn't addressed during the call when I was given the estimate; it seems to me that they just want to slap on gutters.

Roof was installed within the last decade and was in good condition. Pipe collars were found to be in need of replacement. Workers had replacements and installed them for an additional charge. Original "Big Deal" was 4149 and replacement collars added $200 to the cost of service.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. It went very well. We were very happy with it. They did the work 2 days after we accepted the bid and we didn't have to be here. We got two bids on the job. The other bid was $2,300 for the same job with the same materials. We would refer them to other people.

I ordered the big deal and had them come out and inspect the roof. They were out here quickly and found a broken slate and that my flat roof needed to be re-coated. They quoted that on the spot and were our a few days later to do the repairs. They even found another slate that needed repair and took care of that. It was a great experience.

Joe called me shortly after I purchased the deal and I was very impressed by his professionalism and courtesy. However, when the CTR member came, he was on the roof for about 15 minutes, mumbled a few comments to my husband how he had sealed some openings and then left without any follow up instructions. I called Joe about 4 days later when I hadn't heard anything and left a message asking for the inspection results. I didn't hear back and called again the following week. Joe apologized that he was backed up and promised to have a report by the end of the week. After another week went by, I called Joe for an update. Again, he apologized and promised to have something to me by the following day. I have yet to receive a report of the roof inspection. In the meantime, my husband went up on the roof and say one small section that was sealed while several feet of flashing right next to it was loose and wide open. I had originally explained to Joe that we suspect roof leaks and had hoped to contract CTR to fix the roof. At this point, I feel like I just gave $150 away and have absolutely nothing to show for it and I'm incredibly disappointed in the service I received. Especially considering all of the positive reviews on here. **Update 8/15/13 - The owner, Chuck, reached out to me to discuss my concerns. He was very apologetic about my negative experience and sent Joe out to our house to provide another inspection and perform additional roof repair not included in our original coupon. Joe came out and was very professional and helpful. He pointed out all of the areas of concern to my husband, provided pictures and made some recommendations of things that we could do on our own to prevent additional issues. He also did additional caulking around problem areas. We're extremely pleased with how CTR responded to our concerns and provided excellent service recovery.

CTR - Cross Timbers Roofing was very good. I thought the price was fair.

It went very well. He inspected the the roof, found the problem, and repaired it the same day. The gentleman that came out was very knowlegable and professional. My husband and were very pleased. We would definitely use them again.

Decided to do the work myself.

Am very pleased with my experience with Cross Timbers! We picked out the color, signed the papers and magic the roof was on! The employees were very professional and through on the job. Took extra time to rake the yard twice for and extra materials knowing that I had children and a dog that were always in the yard! Before the job was complete the manager came back out on site to assess the roof and make sure I was happy with everything before his guys were complete! Would recommend them to everyone and will be using them for siding and windows when the time comes! Thanks!

I've told the story. Do not use this company to roof your house. The total collateral damage has been at least $50,000, and we are waiting on a lawsuit to try and recoup our money.

Did a great job, can't even tell where the roof was patched. Have used them again for some additional repairs, and again, their work was impeccable.

Excellent! I am very pleased! CTR came highly recommended to me. The agent came over and assessed the hole in my roof and also gave me an estimate on replacing it, at my request! We got on the books to fix the hole, but in the meantime it has started snowing! I called his direct line last night to express my panic and he said not to worry the roof will be fixed in the morning!!! Could not be more happy!!!!!!
