Excellent Job

Excellent service. Evan really strives to do the right thing and does a really good job of explaining. When Evan came over to look at our floors, I asked him to provide 2 quotes (one for Sandfree and the other for complete sanding and refinishing). We aren't planning on staying in this home long term so we wanted to go with the more economical option, which was the Sandfree. He explained that our floors were pretty damaged and the Sandfree would be a temporary fix. He really worked with us on the price because he knew we initially selected the Sandfree option because it was half the price but wanted to do the right thing and couldn't get himself to just do the Sandfree knowing that they would just have to come back in a couple years to fix it. He also knew we had a pretty hard deadline because we had movers scheduled for the following weekend. He and his crew worked late nights to ensure our floors were ready for the big move. They even came back to fix scuffs on the floor from the movers. Highly recommend!

I debated whether to use oil based or water based sealant. Evan and the Sandfree team were great. Evan advised why the water based would be better along with changing the gloss level to minimize animal marks. They communicate effectively to ensure work is completed and done with quality. Their employees are always nice, on time and willing to offer their information about how to maintain and handle the new floors. The schedule was coordinated and Evan ensured the timeframe was met. This company is very professional and I would hire them again.

It went very well! Evan and his team were very professional, punctual, and communicated with us through every step. Evan went above and beyond by coming to our house to look at why our power was out during the drying time and was able to turn it back on. I highly recommend this company for your flooring needs.

I went to Evan because I knew he had crews that could do all sorts of flooring projects. I needed to get some carpet installed in my family room but was not sure what carpet I needed. He helped me find the carpet I needed at a great price. His team did the rest - they brought the new carpet to my house, took out the old carpet, and installed the new carpet. The crew worked very hard and did an outstanding job quickly. I would highly recommend SandFree of Richmond!

We decided not to go with them. They were honest, straight forward and easy to work with. The floors were in bad shape. They said, they probably couldn’t do much with the sanding solution and said, our best bet would be to replace them. And the more I investigated and the more estimates I got, that was confidently the end result. They were all a positive experience!

It was in bad enough condition that they had to do a traditional refinishing, not the "sand free" method, but they were great. I'll definitely use again!

Evan and his team did a good job and were very responsive. I am very satisfied with the quality of their work. I live in a duplex and had the work done on the first floor. My only issue is that I was told that the fumes wouldn't be a problem for the tenants living in the second floor unit. The fumes were a problem, and they had to stay elsewhere for about 3-4 days because the smell was so overpowering. We had to reduce their rent because of this, so the actual cost of having the work done was a few hundred dollars more.

Team was very responsive and helpful. Explained everything thoroughly and explained each issue that arose as the project progressed.

For those that appreciate a "bottom line" review I can tell you in short that Evan Silverstein and Sandfree of Richmond team are nothing short of world class. If given the chance, I would hire them again without question. Not only do our floors look amazing, but the level of service and attentiveness was fantastic. It was really refreshing to work with such a professional company. For those that like a bit more... Evan, the owner, was involved with our project from the start. In addition to the floor project, we were having our kitchen remodeled and front door replaced. Also, there was extensive woodwork that needed to be stained in coordination with the flooring. Evan was instrumental in helping map out the sequence of events to accommodate our timeline. Evan coordinated with our movers, general contractor and painter at his suggestion. This effort ensured that all parties stayed on time and maintained open lines of communication. Prior to the job, Evan put down on our floor a sampling of stains for us to choose. This was helpful because it is often difficult to make a decision based on just a small sample size from the store. We chose Coffee Brown. Evan's team worked solid the week of Thanksgiving to get the project done before my family returned from the holiday. We returned to a very clean and relatively dust free home. It was a great surprise to know that we did not need to clean up extreme amounts of debris from the sanding. The color was perfect. We did have a slight mishap with one of the upstairs toilets leaking. Evan was quick to call his plumber out to get things sorted out. In summary, It was a positive experience working with Evan and team and can't recommend them enough.
