They were awesome! We had estimates from 4 local gutter companies. They were, by far, the best quality for the money. Honest, professional, on-time. We are EXTREMELY PLEASED with our new gutters! We highly recommend them.

After dealing with 2 other unresponsive and/or unreliable contractors, I used Angie's List and found Ethan Powers at Mind In The Gutter. Our 1930's home had half round copper gutters that were severely damaged in the last several years' snow storms, and Ethan and his crew declared them unsalvageable. He gave us three separate estimates - "K" style aluminum, half round aluminum, and half round copper. Sadly, copper wasn't in our budget this year, but Ethan helped us pick out painted aluminum gutters that were pretty close to the appearance of weathered copper. Ethan and his crew were prompt and courteous, and the gutters look AMAZING. Their attention to detail was excellent - they even took the time to paint the aluminum wedges that provide support behind round gutters. During a heavy rain-shower, we had concerns about one of the gutters and they came out promptly to adjust them. We are very pleased with this company's responsiveness and professionalism, and we plan to use them for gutter cleaning as well. One other note (of importance to me) -- Ethan is very responsive via email. Ability to respond by email can make or break a deal with me b/c of my work schedule, and email or text is typically more feasible for me than making phone calls in the middle of the day. They did not unclog my downspout and they never called me back with an estimate on repairs.

They were able to order the custom color that we wanted and installed the gutters and downspouts. They were very pleasant and efficient. They also cleaned up after themselves.

Mind in the gutter responded quickly to my request for a quote to have my gutters cleaned and got the job done in a timely and professional manner. Very pleased with their work and will use again.

We looked in Angie's list to find a provider to help clean our gutters. We have a thrid story so having a tall ladder (40 feet) was a necessary tool. The contractor came out when we were away and left an estimate of the work including installing a gutter cap system. Although they were not able to come out on the first planned day of work, they did come out and do all work quoted within 2 weeks of the estimate. Overall highly professional and would use them again.

I called the company and asked them to look at my gutters because they were leaking. They said someone will call and schedule a appointment. Seven days later I called them and asked if I was going to be scheduled for someone to look at them. The representative did not get on my roof but asked me where they were leaking. I showed him as I had just seen it recently from a heavy rain. He told me he would seal and clean my gutters for $95. I reiterated for $95? He said yes. The same representative came out and said my gutters were clogged and did not to be sealed afterall. A rain came and the same leaking happened. I called the company to ask them to come back out to seal my gutters as they said they would do originally. They said the representative told them since I had gutter guards on my house that is why they were leaking. I told the owner the gutter guards have not been on my house since I purchased it two years ago. Then, he asked me particulars about the gutters like seams which I have no idea about. This is what I paid for them to come out, if I knew I would not call them. And why didn't the rep know this when he came out by looking at them instead of my pocketbook. The owner said he would send the rep back out and that has been two and a half weeks ago. I can have my gutters cleaned for $35-45 not $95. They did not do what they said and did not follow up. The representative had a poor attitude about cleaning the gutters. Then he tried to sell me $500 + gutter guards. Stay away from these guys, total sham.

Went well. Showed up on time for the estimate. Gave what seemed to me to be a good price. There was a mix up regarding the installation date. I scheduled one month ahead of time for a specific day because I was going to be home from work that day. On that day they never showed nor called. By mid-day I called them and was told they were working on another job that they had started the day or two prior. Even though I had a specific day scheduled, they apparently finish the job they are working on before moving to the next. They got to me the next day and hung the gutters one day and did the downspouts the next. The only problem I had was that they didn't notice that my roof decking was too short in a couple of areas and because the pitch of my roof was not very steep, I was getting water running back under the shingles and dripping down behind the fascia board. I reported the problem a couple of times and they came out to look but could not seem to find the problem. In their defense, they indicated they had never seen my type of problem before. I eventually was able to meet them at my house one evening to explain the problem. We got up on a ladder and then picked up the shingle and immediately saw the issue. He said he'd devise a solution and take care of it. They did and all is working as it should now. My real only issue is that it seemed to take too long for them to find the problem (I called several times over a month or so period to find out if they had come out yet/ remind them of my issue) and make a fix.

It was a small job and I had problems finding someone to come fix another contractors shoddy work. Because of bad weather, the date had to be postponed several times and they called each time to let us know. When they did come, were right on time, came prepared, repaired quickly and cleaned up after themselves. I Was VERY pleased with Mind in the Gutter AND that they did not try to tell me I needed new gutters! They acknowledged that all they needed was to be re-attached to the house.

The owner came out to give the estimate and I was thrilled that he didn't try to charge me too much. He gave me an appointment on the spot and his men came out and did a very professional job. I was very impressed with their work.

When they came to give estimate, knowledgeable, no high pressure. Same price as other company for gutters with no leaf guard. Said we really didn't need leaf guard because our gutters are high and not many trees nearby. When the old gutters were removed, they were clear of leaves, so I guess we did not need the expensive leafguard. They were scheduled to come on Friday afternoon at one, called and said they were running late and came at 3, couldn't finish, asked us if they could leave their trailer with the gutter forming machine in the street in front of our house. They came back Monday morning and completed the job.

I liked their turnaround time. They told us when they would be able to come and do the work for us and then called and said they would be able to do it earlier than they thought. They showed up when they said they would. Nobody had asked for money at the time the work was going on, which I appreciated. I had an opportunity to see how the gutters worked because it rained between the time that they were installed and the time we paid the bill. That was a nice thing to happen. I was really pleased with the courteous and professional manner that the representative who came out to give us the estimate had. We had seen their ad before calling them. One of the other companies that we checked out was way overpriced. Mind in the Gutter was terrific, and we had a great experience.

Emailed Mind in the Gutter and got a response the same day. They came out to the home for an estimate that week and scheduled the installation that same month. The cost of the installation was exactly as estimated. Drainage is tricky at my place because of how the townhomes are designed and how we live on the slope of the hill (live in Ivystone Villiage in Raintree - West End of Richmond). Mind in the Gutters did a good job considering the difficulty of the terrain and their installation proposal was approved by the neighborhood association.

Overall, we had a positive experience and would use them again. The only criticism/poor experience was the fact that we expected them to install our gutters on one particular day. The day before the appointment, they called to tell us they had to special order our gutters and they would not be in for another week, so we had to re-schedule.

Call and got quote which they were able to do over the phone and then they came to house and cleaned gutters. Price actually was less than what they quoted.

Convenient. Easy. Gutters are clean. I did not have to take off work, charged to my credit card over the phone. My prime concern was to have a reputable (BBB) co. with insurance - I dread a worker getting hurt at my house & suing me. And I have been taken advantage of by a contractor with medical problems who took my money without doing the work; my money went to his doctor. I had an offer $15 less, but used this company instead.

I called owner-he was to call me back about possibility of doing the job on Saturday-never received a call back. I consider this poor service in a service driven company such as his. Needless to say I had someone else-a neighbor-do my job. I desperately wanted a licensed gutter company but obviously they have enough work.

Mind In The Gutter is a good company to install gutters they were prompt in returning our phone calls and they showed up to do the work on time. They got right to work when they got here and so far we have not had any trouble with the gutters.
