I can't get them to do the job.

It was good. They were very flexible and worked with us. We have a historic home and the exterior trim is a certain color. They made an arrangement for the gutters to be dropped off ahead of time so we could paint them the exterior trim color before they were hung. They came on the day they said they would come (the window was in the morning, but they couldn't come until afternoon). All work was finished when they left, the area was cleaned, and there was no debris left.

They came when they said they would be coming. They were just great. They did a really good job. They finished in one day, in July and it was really hot. They came on time. They were professional, courteous, and they cleaned up behind themselves. I believe they took a medal detector to the yard to make sure they got all the nails. They did not mess up the gardens around my home either. Not very many pieces of the old roofing (2-3 in. in diameter) were found inn the yard. They were very, very good.

We have a large home and they did the job in two and a half days. They used asphalt shingles and did a good job. They took the old shingles with them and did a nice clean up job. We have had no problems with the new roof.

The job went as perfectly as one could hope for. Mr. Andrews was very accessible (I needed to discuss work, after the contract was signed, concerning the dormer windows on that roof.), and very accommodating. The work was scheduled for about 3 weeks after the proposal was signed, and the materials were delivered on Friday, April 27, 2007. Midmorning of that day two roofers showed up and started the job; by the end of the next day they were done, had the site cleaned up, and the old roofing material carted off. In addition to being quick, efficient, and neat, Andrews Roofing required NO money up front. I received their bill about a week after the job was completed, which gave me time to determine if I was satisfied with the job, which I was. The bill I received was for the proposed price of $900 even though I requested that drip edging be installed along the rakes after the contract was signed, and asked to keep one bundle of shingles in case I needed to replace any.

I was rather disappointed that they showed up after I had left at 10:30 am to go to an appointment, but my husband was home to greet them in any case. I had just hoped that they would arrive at 8 am or there abouts, but I believe it was actually about noon before they showed up, according to my husband. That is the reason for the B grade on punctuality. The job went very quickly. When I arrived home, there were about 6 or 7 men working on the roof. They did not speak English from what I was told, so I could not personally communicate with any of them. I wish I had been made aware of this beforehand in case I had any questions, which I always do. The roof looks great. We have had a Nor'easter and downpours since we got our new roof and our usual leak in the den is dry so far! I do not believe they are totally ruined, but my brand new Suncast deck box and a brand new Igloo cooler, which were located right up against one end of my house, were pretty badly assaulted by tar.

The foreman at our home was Bill Boyce. He was a very hard working man. His crew started at 8:00 AM and was completely done with my roof by 2:30 PM. They even cleaned up all the debris when they were done. The whole crew was very skilled and our roof looks great.

The work that they did on my roof was actually pretty good. They had my entire roof removed and replaced in just one day. They did a pretty good job of cleaning up after themselves as well. The eight guys were respectful. The reason for the B grade was that I had to call them out to redo a couple of things that was messed up. One problem we had was, that they had left nails in one of the gutters and someone had dropped shingles off the roof and it hit my vinyl siding. They did get some tar on my stuff as well. I had them clean it up. The quality of the shingles was pretty good that they put in.

Andrews was a great company to do business with. I have used them several times over the years. It is a family owned and run company. They are very nice people who take pride in their work. They are always very friendly and hardworking people. They did a nice job of cleaning up after themselves and the rainwater is not a problem anymore.
