They're always very responsive. Sometimes, I'm not sure if something is a problem or not so I call Air Conditioning Specialists. They're very nice, very informative and wanna make sure that you understand what's going on. If you feel uncomfortable about something, they are more than happy to come out and look at it to make sure everything is going okay.

Contacting customer service at Air Conditioning Specialist was a very pleasant experience; Linda was wonderful and explained perfectly what we would need and about how much it would cost. Service Tech Robert Hammond was at our door the next day.....an hour early! He was very polite and we appreciated that he wore paper slippers when entering our home - he was also very knowledgeable about our old and out-dated unit - and how we can keep it going for at least another year - he also told us about the good deals and discounts for a new one when we are ready to buy. We were thrilled with this company and will most certainly use again as well as recommend. Our air conditioner is working fantastic now!

The salesman (Scott Hudson) was extremely knowledgable (performed a rough tonnage calculation of the home as well), answered all of my questions, applied several discounts to the final offer price and was available for follow-up questions promptly. I got three estimates from different providers and AC Specialists' offer was the most expensive of the three. However, in my opinion this was the most accurate analysis of my needs, including the included extras offered, like sealing the ductwork that was replaced and providing extra float switches to detect abnormalities with the unit's performance. The warranty offered (10 years on labor, furnace, and heat pump, 12 years on the compressor) was better than any of the competitors' offers and thus added value as well. The work went as scheduled and the workmen were very good at keeping me informed of the progress, answered all of my workmanship and installation questions and performed all of the work contracted efficiently and expertly. The worksite was completely clean when they left, as they had taken special care to lay down dropcloths and used a vacuum to clean up any loose insulation and debris. The only issue that arose was that the access into my attic (where the furnace and air handler were located) was just a fraction of an inch smaller than the new unit to be installed. The workmen disassembled appropriate portions of the unit (including the door switch on the unit) in order to get the unit into the attic and then reassembled it in place without any further problems. The unit is functioning as promised and is keeping temperature appropriately during the hotter days of the summer. The city inspector, during his report to me following the inspection, asked me specifically who had done the work. When I told him A/C Specialists had performed the installation, he stated, "No wonder that it is installed and sealed properly. Those guys do a great job." I can't think of a better recommendation than that. By the way, the inspector had no comments about the unit. I am extremely happy with the products and the workmanship and would recommend A/C Specialists to anyone in the area that would like to have a professional group handle their air conditioning needs.

Have use ACS several times in the last two years on a few of my properties. Professionally dressed, very prompt and personable.

I like the fact that they have some sort of maintenance program and the fact that they follow up when you purchase a unit. They would come out to maintain, do a check up and follow up on them. I would say that, that experience is great. You rarely get that with anybody else.

The technician was prompt and courteous. He looked at the thermostat, the unit in the attic and the unit outside. He quickly determined it was the starter, brought me a new one to show me, quoted the price and installed it. Less than 10 minutes later, he showed me the broken starter and disposed of it. He was quick, clean and pleasant.

These folks are absolutely wonderful. From the people who work in their offices to the installation crew to the quality control process, they are top notch. They don't try to sell you what you don't need. Sales presentation is very low key, no pressure. The crew that did the installation was professional. They worked a 10 1/2 day and then came back to do a thorough clean up which included vacuuming my stairway carpet. I cannot say enough good things about this company.

Air Conditioning Specialists price quote came in much cheaper than all 4 other companies i called. they were prompt and the work done correctly. they even came by the next day for a quality check. very impressed. i will use them again.

The install was excellent. The techs were knowledgable.

They examined the house and system thoroughly to give the estimate. The install was scheduled quickly, and they did the install in one day (a long day).THey were clean, quick, courteous, and professional.

The office staff was very friendly and efficient. They called about 45 minutes before the technician arrived. Rob was very professional and quickly performed diagnostics and discovered I had created the problem by installing a new thermostat incorrectly. He corrected the wiring and completely tested the air conditioning system. I highly recommend their service. With the Angie's list coupon, this was a very inexpensive service call.

In July, my AC unit died They came out and fixed it and informed me about their maintenance plan Since my unit was 20+ years old, I bought it the price was reasonable. My furnace stopped working 3 days before the scheduled maintenance. They cleaned the unit and my furnace works better than ever and the cost was covered by the contract

I got the Renee tank oil system and I used them because they had done my heat pump a year before. It was fabulous. They were wonderful. They were very professional. They checked up their quality control. If there was anything wrong, you call and they come out night or day. They were just outstanding. They took out an old system and had to rerun the gas and put in a tank oil system and put it up in the attic. I did not do that much comparison shopping with price but I think it was wonderful. I used them twice in the last year.

Diagnostic visit and clearing condensant lines

I first used them for a generator in my home. They were on time and gave me tips about my home and things to take care of. They did a great job and people need to know about them. Not only do they look at the work they have done but they look at everything and will let you know about things that might need to be fixed, or things that they can do better. They will not let things just slid by.

The initial estimate was performed on time, in a courteous manner. The price was quoted and accepted. The team had the entire job completed in two days and I have no issues or complaints with the system. I am on a yearly service contract with the company and am completely satisfied in my dealings with AC Specialists.

It was the first time I had used them. They were very professional. They have a team of 3 people and each person specializes in a task and they get the job done quick. They really know their stuff.

I am extremely happy with their work. They arrived on time and completed the work faster than I expected. The technicians were clean and well manored. They were 'all business' while still being friendly. they took the time to completely explain all the work they performed and how all parts of the system operate. They cleaned up after themselves and the garage was cleaner when they left than when they arrived. All parts of the installation look neat and tidy and professionally done. I don't know what they could have done better.

Unfortunately, the work took much longer than we were told to expect. There were significant delays in city permits as well as the meter installation. We signed the contract on June 26, so that's 3 months and 2 days before we finally had protection from electrical outages. Luckily, it was another month before Hurricane Sandy struck; it caused only a momentary outage at 2 AM, so brief that the generator was not activated. It has run its weekly break-in reliably ever since installation was complete. We would advise any new client to insist on having a realistic schedule provided by AC Specialists, and not make final payment until the work is complete. Also consider less expensive generator/installation packages such as Home Depot.

We were dealing with another company from Angie's List, and I wanted a second bid on the work. Rob Sipe came out from Air Conditioning Specialists and explained the entire system much more thoroughly than the other company's salesman, so I felt like I was making a much more informed decision. We went with Air Conditioning Specialists because the product (Trane) appeared superior and Rob was a no pressure and responsive salesman. The installers came out and removed the old system and installed the new one in one day after telling us it would take two days. The workman were courteous and professional. The biggest frustration with the entire process was the installer who worked on the exterior heat pump used one of our unused paving stones to balance the exterior unit because the existing concrete patio was too small and nobody informed us. We discovered it that night, and called Rob the next day to come up with a solution. The only other accident was one of the workman accidentily knocked down an antique plate off the wall inside of our home, and after talking with Rob about it they agreed to come out and move the exterior heat pump at no cost after the concrete patio was laid. Overall, it was an excellent experience and I strongly recommend you call them for a bid on any air conditioning or furnace work you need completed on your home.

The job was done very well and promptly. There was a minor issue involving ducts that had been previously sealed, unknown to both us and them. When advised, they returned and made the changes to reroute at their expense, no haggling, no debate. They have since added some more duct work and continued to service the units. They arrive on time, are very clean and courteous. If there were any mistakes or problems, they were fast to respond.
