Both jobs ran smoothly.

They did the entire remodeling. They did great work. I liked their responsiveness and their subcontractors. They were on schedule which I was concerned about because it was such a big job but they definitely remained on schedule. They were very professional and the finished product was very good. I recommend them to others.

I am very displeased and my search for a contractor that will treat me right continues...

They are very friendly. They came when they said they would. They cleaned up after themselves. They did good work.

I called That Cabinet Place, which is located in Norfolk, to give an estimate on remodelling work in my home in Williamsburg. They were very polite but said that Williamsburg is beyond the geographic area in which they work, so they would not be able to help me.

Very Professional and excellent communication with Dan, the owner of That Cabinet Place. Workers arrived on time and were very careful to cover things and keep the dust down. The work was finished in a timely manner. I can't think of a complaint...all the work done is beautiful. I did call Dan back with a few minor cabinet door problems and his response was immediate. I received a call when all the work was finished to make sure I was happy. I would call Dan again and I love my new kitchen!!

WOW, FANTASTIC, GORGEOUS, the kitchen is beyond our wildest dreams and That Cabinet Place was spectacular. They were finished early, all subs were great, kind, courteous and perfectionist. Dan, the owner restored our trust in contractors. He followed through with everything promised and more. Anticipated our every needs, was always available. We would work during the day, come home in the evening and construction from the day was cleaned up and neat, and every evening it was like getting a new treat as the kitchen evolved. If we would have know how great this experience was going to be beforehand the decision would have been much easier. We cannot say enough great things about That Cabinet Place.

Since we had worked with Dan and his crew on our kitchen we knew what to expect from That Cabinet Place. From day one they were clean, on time, and very professional. The hardest thing we had to do was pick out all of the fixtures and tile. Dan was very helpful with that process setting appointments for us with his suppliers. We love our new master bath and really appreciate the quality work performed by all of the craftsmen who work with Dan and his son. We will recommend That Cabinet Place to all of our friends and family.

I received a number of estimates for a kitchen remodel for several years before deciding to go with Dan and THAT CABINET PLACE. I found him via Angie's List and his reports were outstanding from previous customers. After placing a call for a consultation and estimate , Dan, the owner, was prompt coming out. His polite, professional presence along with his ideas and a reasonable estimate working with my budget, sealed the deal. Start date to completion was followed almost precisely by a time line he had created prior to start date and delayed only briefly by the company that I chose to do the hardwood floor install. Work crews that visited the home throughout the remodel were allowed to enter and leave as needed. I never felt a need to be present unless decisions were to be made, as I trusted their work ethics and never had any issues. Plumbing and electrical crews were also professional and polite. This is not your average company, it is quality throughout. It has now been 7 months since the project was completed and I have had many compliments and zero regrets which says a lot for someone with high expectations who waited over 2 years for the right company . It is a family owned business , including Dan, his lovely wife who manages the office and his son who performs much of the work. The completed kitchen remodel met and exceeded all my expectations. Beautiful, on budget and truly stress free! This is a company that makes me a believer to continue my subscription with Angie's List!!

We could not be happier!!!! We are very particular and Dan Twiford and his crew did an outstanding job from start to finish. From the beginning Dan understood what we wanted and his design was perfect. He made several excellent suggestions that took our ideas from good to great while keeping the job within our budget. His crew started on schedule and finished in less time than estimated. They helped us set up a temporary kitchen, which made life much easier during construction. They sealed off the work area, keeping the worst of the dirt and dust out of the rest of the house. The work area was cleaned up at the end of each day. I work at home and there was minimal disruption to my schedule. The quality of the work is excellent. They did a beautiful job on the drywall and matched all of the trim to the rest of the house. The pantry is an odd size and they custom shaped all the shelves, adding quite a bit of additional space. The cabinets are beautiful and extremely-well crafted. Dan suggested several interior features that are very useful and practical. They also built custom "floating" shelves for my collection of cookbooks. The entire crew was great to work with; Dan's son Adam is outstanding. His attention to detail was especially appreciated. Everything from the overall spacing of the cabinets to the placement of the hardware was carefully considered. One of the cabinet doors received a small scratched during installation; a replacement was ordered before I even noticed it. I highly recommend That Cabinet Place and would definitely hire them again, and again! About 10 years ago we renovated 2 full baths and converted a bedroom to a home office; Dan did that project while working for another company and we were very happy then too.

That Cabinet Place came out to our house on the morning of the start of the project. They covered all of our furniture and carpets for dust control. They stayed late on the very first day to complete the demo work. Every aspect of our job went like clockwork, when one trade finished another would come out the next day to do their part. Another thing my wife and I appreciated is the constant contact Dan kept with us and his staff. Dan's son is an awesome craftsmen and all of their workers were neat clean and polite. The cabinets, granite tops and flooring are awesome in every way. They even offered to set an appointment with their appliance company and let us buy our products at their builder cost. That saved us a bunch of money. In the end we decided we would like to have a tile back splash installed and again Dan came out and brought tile samples and helped us with our choice...great. We have had other remodeling done over the years but That Cabinet Place is the best we have ever used and were very professional all the way around. We are now talking to them about remodeling our master bath.

It did not go well.

Many items were not performed as described or arranged. Communication was extremely poor which led to numerous mistakes and delays. Coordination between owner Dan Twiford and the onsite crew was non-existent. Communication between Dan Twiford and myself was problematic and difficult.

Looked at Angie's List for companies that came highly recommended. That Cabinet Place had the top grades so I called Dan. As soon as we met him, we knew he was someone we could work with. His crew is awesome-- professional, friendly, nice and they clean up after themselves everyday. (Even my dogs liked them.) The kitchen was gutted, doors were moved, a pass-through was installed, new cabinets, floor, lights--we did everything. I LOVE MY NEW KITCHEN and am recommending TCP to all my friends who are thinking about remodeling their homes.

From the original (and best) estimate until the final day of installation, Dan was a perfect gentleman and a pleasure to work with. His installers were all friendly, courteous, skilled, neat, clean and punctual. The installation was on the second floor which necessitated taking everthing in and out thought the house, They covered all the floors and carpets and cleaned up after themselves every day. All dust creating activities i.e., cutting tile or wood were done outside to eliminate the mess inside. Installation of the cabinets was accompished by Dan's son - a true craftman. All in all the project came in on budget and ahead of schedule. All of the original allowences were right on and no ",extras" needed. Couldn't ask for anything more

I contracted with That Cabinet Place to install an outside vented exhaust hood and cabinet in my existing kitchen. Dan Twiford came to my home to look over the space and quickly provided me with an estimate. His crew showed up on the day and time specified and completed the work in two days. They were incredibly clean and the work performed far exceeded my expectations. I have done a complete kitchen remodel before and understood that this was a very small job. However, this company provided a high level of professionalism and acted like my small job was every bit as important as more complex and expensive remodels. When I finally do a complete kitchen remodel I will definitely have them do the work.

Everything is beautiful. Their workmanship is first class. THEY ARE CLEAN AND TIDY! They built a temporary wall to minimize the dust. I have never see this before. We also used them to re-tile a bathroom, gut and completely remodel another bathroom and enclose a deck. Very easy to work with.

They are a full service type of contractors. He lined up every phase of this job. They made it easy to have this project done. The whole job took about four days. They met with us and discussed what we had in mind. They showed us samples of their products and discussed options. We went to their show room. I did want to see more products, so they took me to their distributors. That lady then took me to her distributors so I was confident in my choice.

I found this company on Angie's list. As soon as I called, I found Dan (the owner) to be very helpful without being pushy. I was able to meet with him and pick from a wide variety of cabinet styles. He told me when they could start--and they were out on the day as advertised. All of the workers were very nice--I never worried about leaving them at my home. Three problems did arise: 1. The plans called for moving a wall which Dan did not realize could not be moved as we planned. However, we worked around this, moving only part of the wall. 2. They added to the hard wood floor in my dining room--only to realize after I removed the whole carpet, that the width of the new flooring boards did not match the old ones. I told Dan about this and he immediately had this changed. 3. The sink that we ordered was "back ordered." This delay was not Dan's fault at all; however, he lent me a sink to use for several days until mine came in. After living without a sink for 4 weeks, this was a god-send. The work was finished a little earlier than anticipated. The kitchen is BEAUTIFUL. I love the workmanship. I could not be happier. I would use this company again in a heart-beat! They did what they said they would do, they did it for the price they quoted, and they did it on time. It is nice to know that there are skilled trades people around who still care about the quality of their work.

This company is wonderful. They gave me an estimate and timeline that they honored. We were on a short timeline because of an upcoming event I was hosting, and they did everything they said they would do with expert craftsmanship and care. To expedite the project, they worked around furniture rather than having us move it out. They came every day on time, always left the area cleaned, and did a final clean up when the project was finished. As I changed some of the things about the remodel, they were very accommodating.

Dan was on time, took his time taking careful measurements, listened well to what I had in mind, and had a quote a couple days later. I ended up blowing my budget on appliances though, and have to wait on those countertops (granite, or bust!). If I can get new counters before I move, I would definitely get them from TCP.

Our entire kitchen looked great when they were finished. Our countertops were gorgeous and they custom built the cabinets right around the big appliances. They gave me an estimate and honored it. They were real professional and it showed in their work. They were the best. They sub contracted someone to lay the porcelain tile floor and it turned out marvelous. They were real pros and it showed in their work.
