The estimator explained everything in great detail. Price very reasonable. They came when they said they would and were very prompt. The crew did a great job and cleaned up afterwards. They were very courteous and respectful. I would highly recommend Bay Crawlspace !

The Team arrive within the appointment time and promptly got to work inspecting our crawlspace which in under the entire house. They were polite and professional. Everything was dry and no signs of any water or moisture under the house. They checked the filter on the humidifier and replaced the batteries on the remote temperature and humidity monitor which we keep in our kitchen. They answered any questions we had. We have been very happy with the work that has been done and would definitely would recommend Bay Crawlspace and Foundation Repair to anyone.

After doing in depth reviews on multiple contractors to encapsulate our crawl space, we decided on Bay Crawlspace and Foundation Repair due to their high review ratings and professionalism during our initial call and subsequent free inspection. We do not regret our decision. The employees who performed the work (Adian, Austin and Aaron...I know I'm forgetting one or two guys) were always on time and started immediately. They were professional, approachable and worked their butts off from start to finish. Any questions we asked where promptly answer. I did not know this company until this "project" started but I can assure you that if you choose them to perform your work, you will not be disappointed.

I had my one year inspection today by Matt and James. They were both professional and friendly. Both wore masks while at my home. James did his magic under the house while Matt addressed my concerns in my home. All of my concerns were addressed in a friendly manner. My bedroom door was corrected with James adjusting a jack. Matt went over the knowledge I needed for my digital read out for under my house. Matt took the time to show me how to reset my dehumidifier, if I lost power and my home generator did not restart it. I am very pleased with the work completed a year ago and the service call today. I would use them again!

Did an OK job, but coordination and follow up are very lacking. I had all the major companies inspect my crawlspace since I had found out I had some moisture damage on some joists and knew that they would have to be replaced. I wasn't sure if I would go with the whole encapsulation job or just replace the insulation and moisture barrier beside the wood work. I went with Bay since they had the best estimate for the encapsulation and I liked the inspector (Michael) they had sent out. But once we settled on the job, things went downhill a bit. We were scheduled to start about 4 weeks after signing and the day before start day, I emailed to confirm and was told there would be a delay, how long I asked, they didnt say. Turns out the crew showed up the next day. These were the masons that were going to cut out a new opening in the crawlspace. But they couldnt get their saw started and came back later in the day. I had to help them figure out why the saw wouldn't start. Turned out that you needed to flip the switch to the "On" position. After that, they cut out the opening and left. The rough cut opening was left like that for almost two weeks with just a board leaning over the opening to keep the critters out. The actual Bay crew showed up a few days later to clear out all the insulation and plastic moisture barrier. That went well enough, two guys and piles of old nasty insulation. A day or so later, a guy came to spray the underside of the floor and joists with a fungicide. No problems there. The following week the work started. That took about 3 days where the joists were sistered up, and the encapsulation work was done. It was a pretty young crew, but they worked well. I don't envy them getting under the house to do that work. A followup appointment was made to install the dehumidifier and door for the new opening. That work was done by Cliff. He installed the dehumidifier and ran a pipe outside for the condensate. He asked where I wanted it and I told him about 10' underneath a screen porch. When he was done I went underneath the house to inspect the work. I saw light coming in around the area where the wood and masonry meet and asked him about how that could be. He said they dont normally insulate that. I told him that if I can see light, then air is coming in too. He agreed to foam that in with spray foam. I also noted that there were lots of bits and pieces of insulation still hanging down. He said he would have that taken care of too. And he could not install the door since all the masons had done was to cut the opening but did not install a metal lintel and left one half cut brick in place. We scheduled a followup about a week later since we would be out of town. While we were away, the mason came and finished the work. Cliff came back and finished the door. I was not happy with it and told him so. It was a rough cut piece of plastic that didnt fit the opening well. As it turns out the opening was not cut square and he cut the plastic with a hand held circular saw. I had expected something more professional and workmanlike. This was not it. He said this is all they ever do for a door. He also had to move the drain line since he had installed it about a foot in from the outside of the porch, laying in front of a yard cart I wheel under there for storage. A couple of weeks later I got an email from BAY asking if I would post a review and in turn they would give me a free service visit. I told them I wasnt super happy with the job and they sent a Seth, a QC supervisor out to inspect the work. He agreed with me that there were some things that could have been done better, including the door and the cleanup. But I also made a point with him that many people would never have gone underneath the house to inspect, especially if they are seniors or have physical problems, so the issues with the missing insulation (light shining in) would never had been corrected otherwise. That is unacceptable. He promised that they would come out to do more cleanup. I havent heard from the company since, and that is over a week ago.

I expected to get a call in one year, but after 15 months, I called them to set up the inspection and maintaince of the job done last year. They were promp in their service after I called and actually had to make a second trip to install a new filter in the dehumidifyer they had installed last year. They also adjusted the settings and supplied a new devise to check the humidity under the house from inside the house as the first one malfunctioned. They were very professional at all times.

Beau came in with a very professional packet & the best price of 5 proposals for a crawlspace dehumidifier. Matt & James came to install it within 10 days and were courteous, professional and fast, staying an hour past 5pm to see my questions were answered and I was satisfied. Have more work for them to do as well. Happy to refer them.

The air quality in the house is noticeably improved and my electric bill has gone down because my HVAC system has to cycle less frequently. Seth Lillenthal told us it was pretty normal for the water to overflow the outside trap and checked under the house to see if all was okay there and was. He acted professional and releaved the frustration of the overflow of the water.

During my annual inspection, Field Manager Seth Lilienthal determined pooling water in my crawl space was the result of the natural reaction from a continuing heat wave mixing with the coolness of my air conditioning ducts. Since I am not physically able to move freely throughout my crawl space, Seth spent well over one hour inspecting all of my ductwork and determined that a simple solution would solve my problem. I recently had other work underneath my house, but was not offered any explanation for this pooling water by any other contractors. Two years ago, we needed to have our crawlspace encapsulated due to excessive moisture and mold. Bay Crawlspace installed a French drain and a dehumidifying system along with the encapsulation, and we have not had a problem since!. They did the work quickly, their people were friendly and professional, and their follow-up service and maintenance are well worth the money to ensure it works for the next 30 years (Seth Lilienthal came out today and was quick, friendly, and thorough!). We are very pleased with the the quality of their work and would would definitely recommend their services!

the crew called me advance to let me know when they would arrive at their appointed time. They arrived on time and went over everything they would be doing. Checking inside gauges, changing batteries, checking dehumidifier and filter. Checking all underhouse for any sign of cuts in the vinyl coverings due to rodents or insects and just a general inspection. Emmanuel and A Shawn were excellent. Polite, friendly and professional. My experience today was just as good as the day Bay Crawl Space initialy encapulated my home. No more problems or moisture under my house.

We signed up for an 8 day job. The job began in the middle of a heat wave so went a little over. I was impressed with the crew. They kept us updated throughout the process. Emmanuel and Ashawn were on the final crew and worked pas 6pm to complete the job. I cannot express how impressed we are with the work they have done. I am very happy with the repairs done to my crawl space by Bay Foundation Repair. I initially began the process checking into my crawl space because I live in a very wet part of southern Chesapeake. I have had issues with water drainage in my back yard and was concerned that my crawl space was also wet. I found out that all the insulation under my house was soaking wet, some was molded, and three joists were rotting due to excessive moisture.
