Everything went very well. They were very responsive in getting back to me to set up an appointment. And Brian was very thorough in explaining what needed to be done and performing the tasks that needed to be done.

While it seems pretty simple, removing a rotting, maggot filled possum carcass that is wedged between/fused to an HVAC unit and floor joists (and straddling old knob and tube wiring) is actually a fairly daunting task for people who didn't grow up on a farm or deal with a lot of rotting, stinking animals growing up. Anyway, after a short-lived attempt to do it ourselves (which was one of the most disgusting things I've ever done - picture maggots pouring our of a foul smelling dead thing just above eye level) we decided to call in the professionals. They came the next day and had the thing out and the area cleaned up in short order. They then did a walk around the house to find the point of entry so that we could prevent future possum visits. They were extremely professional and charged exactly what they had quoted over the phone. Given that we were about to pay over $500 to clean the ducts (we didn't know where the smell was coming from, except that it was coming through the ducts, but since the possum was actually on the fan unit, cleaning the ducts wouldn't have done anything), the cost was very reasonable.

Our yard had two large yellow jacket colonies, one paper wasp nest --PLUS a squirrel that had gained entrance to a sofit under the roof eaves. One of the yellow jacket nests was especially large and had very aggressive bees. This nest seemed to appear overnight and was keeping me from gardening, much less going in my back yard. After an extensive " Googling session" on yellow jackets, I used Angie's List to obtain a professional to handle my problem. I read reviews and chose Acme for the company's good rating and description of its services. I am pleased to say that Acme lived up to my expectations. I called on a Sunday, and although they offered to come that day, I opted for Monday. They arrived on time and gave a reasonable quote for the hazardous jobs they were to undertake. I agreed to the price and on the spot, they began the job of destroying the nests. (Note: They did not damage the landscaping that was directly above the sites) Several hours after the nests were eradicated, a few "straggler" yellow jackets returned, but soon completely disappeared. Happily, I was gardening that same evening, free of fear. On removing the squirrel: The crew set a trap for the squirrel and caught her two days later before she had a chance to have a brood in the eaves. The squirrel's access point was in a difficult location three floors up, but the guys took time and care ---and the entrance that the squirrel had gnawed was neatly patched. I highly recommend this company.

We had a nest of ground bees at the base of a tree. We looked on the internet for a company that would exterminate bees found Acme Animal Control. They returned our call the same day and made an appointment to come by the next day. The young man answered all of our questions, did the job and left his contact information in case we saw any bees trying to rebuild where the hive had been. He also explained their guarantee. We have not seen any more bees. While the service man was there we asked about carpenter bees as they had been very active around our house this spring. He suggested we call next spring when we first see the bees and Acme could come out to treat house in the areas the carpenter bees attack. He explained the treatment and their guarantee. We would definitely recommend this company and will use them again in the future.

We had a dead possum in our crawl space/unfinished basement. It had been sitting on top of the air conditioning unit and wedged under some wiring for some time to the point that it was fused to the unit and rotting (sending some horrendous smells into the house). We tried to move it ourselves, but when we lifted it and the maggots started pouring out (the possum was just above eye level), we decided to call a professional. We called in the morning and Brian and Brook showed up just after noon. They were extremely professional and go the job done in less than fifteen minutes. They not only cleaned up and deodorized the area, but they also did a walk around the house and found the entry point for the possum (this was not the first possum visit as evidenced by occassional droppings) so that we could prevent future visits. They even recommended some measures to help clear the smell, which seemed to help. All in all, very positive experience. They were prompt and professinal (and didn't make me feel like a wimp for not wanting to deal with a little rotting animal). The cost seemed pretty steep, but was worth every penny given how quickly they responded and what a good job they did. Our original plan was to have our a/c ducts cleaned (since that was clearly where the smell was coming from) and that was going to cost over $500 and wouldn't have fixed the problem (we finally found the dead possum the day before the company came to clean the ducts, so we called them off).

It was great. They came quickly, they found the bird and fixed the problem.
