I had used them once before and thought they did a good job. Last year they came again and did the spring clean up and mulching but at the time it looked like they pruned our plants in the front too much. They had had buds growing on them at the time and they workers clipped them off. We weren't sure if the plants were dead or not, but clearly they are. No buds are anything this spring though everything else is in full bloom. Don't trust them with your plants!

Contacted this provider, through Angie's List, on 2/1 and again on 2/3 for an estimate on yard work and tree removal. As of today, 2/11, I've had no reply.

I called around to a few places that had high marks on Angie's List. These guys seemed to have the best pricing. Everyone varied a bit and it was hard to do a great comparison when you're not really sure how long it'll take. They quoted $150/first hr. $100/hr after that. They'd have three guys working for those rates which was fair. After my initial call to get rates I called around and decided to go with Nueva Vista. I called them 2-3 times after that leaving voicemails to try to get it scheduled. I finally got the guy on the phone and scheduled the work. They showed up on time and did good work. A bit of bartering on how long they spent on it, but it was a fair price and I'd consider them again. Just know you probably shouldn't leave a voicemail and getting in touch will be a bit of a nuisance.

Nueva Vista has provided all of our landscaping and lawn maintenance needs for the last two years. They are reasonably priced, efficient, and easy to work with. Their work is always top notch. For the most part I communicate with the owner by email, which is helpful to me because of my work schedule.

I don't know WHY this company has an "A" rating when at best they should get a "C" Approximately two-and-a-half weeks ago, I attempted to contact this company via Angie's List. I made the request around 10 that morning ... I waited until nearly 5PM that same day, then I decided to contact this particular provider via his phone. [ Looking back on it, I should have taken my cue from this guy's LACK of response, via the automated/electronic paging-service. ] Communicating with the person -- who I assume was the owner and manager of the company -- WASN'T easy, but we both managed to get ourselves understood and agree upon a date, time and rate for his company to stop over and work on both my front yard and my patio/back yard... [ **Mind you: I have NOTHING against people who speak English as a second language, but IF your accent is as thick as a forest *AND* your ability to COMPREHEND what is being said is limited (at best), you SHOULD --- not "might" but SHOULD --- either refine your skill with the language, or hire someone to speak/interpret for you. ] The day came ... and the day WENT ... he NEVER SHOWED UP, OR EVEN BOTHER TO GIVE ME A PHONE CALL! ! ! ! I called him at roughly 4:45Pm that same day [ wherein he WAS SUPPOSED TO ARRIVE AROUND 12-NOON ] and demanded to know what happened! The person I got on the phone was the same and while he seemed to assume the mantle/role of being owner/manger, he DIDN'T AND COULDN'T OFFER ANY EXPLANATION, LET ALONE ****APOLOGY*** FOR STANDING ME UP/NEGLECTING ME! ! ! ! ! ON TOP OF THAT: When he sensed that I was [ RIGHTLY ] upset, he ATTEMPTED TO ASSUME A *DEFENSIVE TONE WITH ME, *WHILE AT THE SAME, TRYING TO ASK ME IF HE COULD BRING HIS CREW OVER THE NEXT DAY!!! [ BIG mistake there, 'buddy' ! ! ! ! ] I told him that I would NOT be interested ... OVERALL: This company's owner/manager has the professionalism of REALLY YOUNG, TEENAGED BOY. I WOULD NEVER recommend this company to ANYONE, unless I *disliked* them and I wanted them to have disappointing/frustrating experience. ~ B

Generally, NV does a great job, but they are terrible at responding to your requests. I've had frequent calls/emails go totally unanswered. If you get service from them, you have to ask them for things several times. However, once they understand what needs to be done, they are very good. They work fast and they do a good job. Their prices are very good, too. Overall, I will continue using them, but wish they were more organized in terms of communications.

Great! This provider did a throrough job of cleaning up the leaves. They did miss one spot but when I called WAlter, he was very professional and they are going to be sure to get that spot next time they come in a few weeks. I have been very happy with their prices and they do a quality job! I highly recommend them.

They are excellent. They mow every week, but I'm usually at work when they work.

Walter the owner is great guy. They always do a great job. This is an outstanding company.

So Far they have been great.

We have had Nueva Vista's lawn service for a few years now and are very pleased with their work. If there is ever a problem (rarely), we call Walter and the issue is resolved right away. We can depend on them to keep our lawn looking great each week.

Walter and his crew arrived a little later than expected due to traffic. Very professional. Cleared/removed weeds, grass, etc from stone patio, flower beds. Weeds had grown between the stone pavers and they remove all of it. The patio area looked like new when they had finished the job. I would highly recommend this company. I will definetly use them in the future.

Walter Hernandez was prompt in coming out to give an estimate for the job, which I thought was reasonable. He showed up a week later as we had agreed upon with his four man crew. They trimmed, mulched, planted and cleaned up the yard. They did an excellent job. Yes, I would hire them again.

It was a difficult decision to give up doing my lawn myself but I could not be happier I did. In my best days I did not do as good a job as Nueva Vista does week in and week out. We have a hill and lots of flower beds to work around and both look great every week. They have done a variety of garden services for my wife like edging and brush removal and have always done a great job. My lawn is in good hands.

It was hard finding someone to mow our lawn before we moved out of our rental. It was the start of the summer season and other providers either didn't return my calls or said it wasn't worth it to service our property since it was small and a one-time job. These guys were professional. They returned my call, for one. And they did good work in a short amount of time. I'm pretty sure it was just one guy who came out to do it and he was done in like 30 minutes or less. It was great work, too.

Promptly responded to call requesting estimate for routine yard and garden maintenance. Walter was on time, very pleasant. He looked around and we discussed what I was interested in. He provided tips on watering and some information on an edging products that I was potentially interested in. Took my email address and stated he would send an estimate. I thought I had found the service I have been looking for. Unfortunately, I did not hear back from him and after a week I called and he said he was in the field but would get back to me that evening. I never did hear back from him. Very disappointed in the lack of response. If his lack of response was due to the fact he wasn't interested in doing the work, then he should have just stated so. Just can't understand the lack of professionalism to ignore a potential customer. Would not recommend for this reason.

I have used Walter @ Nueva Vista many times over the last years. I am always happy with his work, and the fact that he takes on such a small job. On time, pleasant, reasonably priced - Walter and Nueva Vista are the way to go.

The work this company provided was excellent! They came out yesterday and provided an estimate to me then returned today and performed the services in little under an hour. Very professional and I am very pleased with the results. They didn't rush to finished and took pride in their job. They had a dumpster on site to collect all excess waste.

Relying both on my own previous experience with Nueva Vista as well as many Angie's List reviews, I called Walter at NV to lay down a considerable amount of mulch before the end of the week. Walter came over to survey the landscaping and gave me some great advice regarding the types of mulch to use and why. Nueva Vista arrived early in the morning. I was not home, but Walter called me to let me know they were getting busy. Later that afternoon, Walter called to say he was done, and we arranged a time later that day for him to come over for a joint inspection. The job was superb. Walter and his crew exceeded my expectations and took many extra steps that were outside the scope of the job. For example, they trimmed a few of my bushes, cleaned out a low hanging gutter, cleaned up a pile of brush that I have been putting off, and cleaned my driveway. The mulching was top notch, they didn't just lay mulch around, they dug down to clearly delineate where the beds start and the lawn ends. Overall, the job was great. Walter is a true professional and personally ensured I was happy with the job. I highly recommend Nueva Vista!

Went well. Needed a quick turnaround for the job and it was done promptly.

I called the company on Friday requesting a gutter cleaning. The gentleman said he could come on Saturday around noon. This was great because all of the other places I called said they were booked for several weeks. He said he would call one hour before they came. On Saturday, at 12:30, I called to see what time they thought they were coming. The gentleman said 1:30pm. They didn't come until 3:30pm. It only took about 10-15 minutes which was good. And the price was very reasonable. However, I failed to check the work before they left. When I went out an hour later, I saw that they did not nail down our gutter net. I called back and told the gentleman, and he said they would return to fix it. They did and I was grateful.

Another year and another fully satisfied customer. Walter and his crew are our only selection when it comes to spring cleaning for our flower beds. They do excellent work for an excellent price. Bewarned though - they book up fast when spring hits. For any members that are concerned with their mulch; the leaf mulch is actually better for your plants and shrubs, and it holds color longer. Walter's crew is expeditious so I would recommend writing down the exact things you want to be performed. Sadly Angie's List won't allow me to add additional pictures to my review. I will upload at a later date if it happens to work. Great work Team, and we look forward to having you back in the fall for clean up.

Excellent.. They did an excellent job of mowing our lawn each week.

They did a high quality job with a crew of 5. They were very professional in every way. The carbonized leaf mulch they use looks much better that hardwood mulch and does a better job at suppressing weeds. This is the second time I have used them and would not hesitate to recommend to others.

I thought I was getting a great deal for the mulch and edging. The workers worked hard and it looked great when they were done. But over time I started realizing that the mulch was just shredded leaves! They were disintegrating and by seasons end it was almost as if I didn't mulch my beds. When my husband came home from work to see the work he was livid. I thought at the time it was great so never complained and did not call them back. By winter the beds were pretty much clear of any mulch (leaves) they added.
