We called Mr. Hernandez and asked for him to come by and give us an estimate for yard work that we wanted done (clear out woods, weed all beds, mulch all beds, trim all shrubbery, etc.) and he arrived exactly when he said he would and we had an estimate within 30 minutes. He returned on the agreed upon day and performed the services agreed up in an exemplary manner, for the estimated cost. The crew did really beautiful work and both the front and back yards look lovely. We are very, very pleased and will hire Mr. Hernandez again. On a side note, one of my car pool riders saw the work that Mr. Hernandez did and asked for a business card due to the quality of work that she saw - she will call them for an estimate. Good company, good people, good work. We got every penny that we paid for.

They never showed up or called again.

The job was well done, and my backyard looks very good.

We decided on the day and Walter said that they would arrive around 7:30 a.m. in the morning as it was a full day's work. I looked out at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday morning and Walter and his crew were already there working. Walter said that he would wait until around 8;00-8:30 in the morning before they would turn on the trimmers so as not to disturb the neighbors so early in the morning. They were there all day and worked without a break and finished around 4:30. Walter passed on to me his discount for the plants that he purchased at the nursery (he showed me the receipt). It was a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend Walter and his company and would definitely call him back again.

Made an appointment for an estimate on landscaping. Owner failed to show...admitted he completely forgot. Arrived about 30 minutes after my call reminding him of the appointment. Expalined the work I wanted completed and he promised an estimate in a few days. It's been two weeks and no contact!

I just got the estimate but decided not to use the service as he was over priced and actually I haven not observed his work. The contract was very vague.

The gentleman who came arrived on time and was very polite but didn't seem very knowledgeable about what was needed for the lawn and recommended doing now -- several actions -- that all others who came out told me should not be done at this time of year. Also, the estimate for the yard clean-up was almost $400 more than the next best estimate.

These folks are the best landscaping company I've ever worked with. They worked in our yard for at least 4-5 hours with a crew of 4 (I believe it's 4). They cleaned out junk that had been piled between the holly bushes and the house and mulched the entire thing. I've had many landscaping companies do yard cleanup but not a one, before Nueva Vista, cleaned and mulched behind the holly bushes. Incredible work. The price he was charging me was $580 which seemed reasonable until I saw how much was actually being accomplished. I insisted on paying a fairer price. Hard working and trustworthy.

Walter came to give me an estimate on time. The work was done exactly as described and scheduled in a professional manner. This crew is very dependable, courteous, and professional.

The company did an awesome job. They showed up on time, worked hard all day, even through the rain, and did everything they said they'd do: cutting the tree up and stacking it neatly. They were polite, considerate, and very professional. They even saved 3 squirrels living in the tree and allowed them to relocate! The crew seemed to work well together and did a great job! I would highly recommend them for any of your lawn/tree needs. Will defintely re-hire in the future.

We have lived in our home over ten years. Now that we are empty-nesters, time to get help with the yard work. Emailed Walter first, via Angies List (very late in the evening). Walter called back next day – we returned call, Walter picked up the phone. We work long hours, Walter said no problem, could give us free estimate even if not home. Ended up being home anyway, Walter spoke to us. Speaks English very well. His staff came out two days later (per our request). They are just awesome and so hardworking. Quoted us for a tree-trimming job and will be turning on our sprinkler system for a mere $65.00 (twenty less than previous service). Just quick and awesome service so far, and we are so impressed with their professionalism – husband is just trilled!!!!

The person who came out from Nueva Vista Landscaping Company gave me a great quote. I’ve had some trouble with services before so I had some questions and he provided very good answers. I didn’t get vague answers; I got specific answers which I liked. I was impressed. What I really liked about him is that he came when he said he would come. I would use Nueva Vista Landscaping Company again in the future.

We recently took ownership of a house that had been vacant for approximately 1 year. Needless to say, nothing had been done to maintain the back yard. Walter and his crew took on the task of bringing the yard back to a maintainable status. They mowed the 'field' back down to a lawn, removed a large, overgrown bush and removed tree branches that had come down during a storm. I was very pleased to be able to walk in the yard without worrying about what I would be stepping on! I would definitely call Walter again if I needed to have more work done.

I called Walter and he was willing to stop by to provide an estimate the same day. I met him the next day, based upon my schedule, and we went over the work to be completed. While I knew I wanted the down spouts to connect to buried lines to drain water away from the house, Walter made some excellent suggestions. What really impressed me was the foresight that my initial planned placement would likely wash mulch away and not really address the issue. He suggested running the line under the sidewalk to a suitable position in the yard. I alerted him to my sprinkler system and he let me know he installs sprinkler systems and would repair anything, accidentally damaged during the work. After a bit of a delayed start due to rain, Walter and his crew completed the work today and I was very pleased. There was no apparent damage to my sprinkler system. I am probably a harsh critic of the quality of service and personnel when I hire work to be performed, but for the first time in a very long time, I was completely satisfied. I will definitely use Walter again in the future and recommend him without reservation.

They offer an excellent service and I highly recommend them.

Walter Hernandez from the company was very responsive and friendly when he came out to do the estimate and my mowing got done regularly. But he was also supposed to fertilize and provide other lawn mainenance and cleanup service. Not only didn't he inform me that it was the time of season for such services, he repeatedly failed to do the work when I called and asked him to do so. In several cases, I called and asked for a service such as fertilizer and weed control, he specifically promised to do it -- and his crew never came. Don't know if this is just a company that's grown too big, too fast, if the crew working my area had particular troubles or if something else is wrong. Manager Walter Hernandez later told me it was a bad crew in my area and he has taken action (about a year later in my view) to improve his staffing . In any case, I was very disappointed that the service wasn't up to the standards described previously by other Angie's List members.

Walter contacted us almost immediately after our initial email, came over and walked the property and listened to what we wanted done and gave us a very good price. He then blew us away by agreeing to come on the next Saturday and to complete all the work in just one day - unbelievaby great service. He showed up with a crew of six, including a tree removal "climber," who all proceeded to work for about seven hours. The work completed was excellent. Walter was very responsive and provided good advice on when to transplant some plants. Walter wasn't able to complete the sodding that day due to sod not being available, but came back and completed that within a couple of days. We are ready for spring in one day - if we had tried to do this ourselves it would have taken 4 or 5 weekends, and we probably wouldn't have got it done!. We are putting Nueva Vista on speed dial -- they are terrific.

I got an estimate from another tree service that wanted 2500 dollars. I thought that price was ridiculous. So I called around. He immediately sent me his license and insurance. A day later I had the estimate. On the day of work he was unable to make it as he had some unforseen circumstances but he came out the very next day and took care of the job. They did a great job at a great price.

They do periodic lawn moving and leaf raking. They took a part of my backyard and put a sprinkler system in the fall. I have half an acre lawn and they had raked 30 humongous bags of leaves. They come every 2 weeks in the fall and summer to see what needs to be done. In the beginning it takes them time to respond, but, they will surely get back. They are very hardworking and reasonable. My backyard was a jungle; they removed all the wild plant and trees and put a sprinkler system. They took care of the backyard completely to clean and seed it. They had to go in and out several times with machinery, but never stopped till it was done. They were very good and responsive. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

Wonderful. I have used Walter and his crew four or fives times now. They do an excellent job, are always on time, and are responsive to requests. I highly recommend Nueva Vista, and will continue to use their services. I am planning to have them back in the Spring to do some landscaping and planting for me.

They do a very good job. Last year they replaced all my sod and a couple months ago I needed a quick mow/trim for my lawn and my neighbor's yard. They fit me in, arrived promptly and removed all the debris. I have a small townhouse yard. They did not charge me much -- very reasonable. And very professional. Also, there were about 4 or 5 guys on the team so the work went fast.

They're very nice and when I need to talk to them, they accommodate me and call the big boss when they need to.
