The service went great. Two technicians came out and completed the job in a day and a half. They were knowledgeable and reasonably priced. They were great with the cleanup after the job and they were very flexible with my schedule. They are a nice father/son business.

We went to their store after checking Home Depot and Lowe's. Wertz Flooring Gallery had a fantastic selection of all types of flooring, not just carpeting. We explained to John what we had in mind and he showed us numerous varieties and styles available to us. We had a concern that the size needed to be 15 foot width. They had a good selection of 15 foot carpeting but the one we really liked was 12 foot width. Brian came to our home on 8/25/14 and gave us an estimate and showed us how the 12 foot would not be any issue ~ so we were able to stick with our first choice and didn't need to select something different that was 15 foot width. At the time of the estimate we paid the 50% deposit and they ordered the carpeting. It was delivered on 9/5/14 [delayed slightly due to the holiday weekend] and we paid the remaining balance when it was completed. We were pleased that their charge for taking up and disposing of the existing carpet was only $300 of the total of $1,358.23. They did an excellent job removing the existing carpet which had linoleum underneath. The total process took about 3 hours and we are extremely pleased with all the work done in our home.

We were in the Richmond area for a limited amount of time and wanted to have carpeting installed while we were there. Several places had told us it would be 3-4 weeks before we could have the installation. We visited Wertz on a Saturday and job was completed by the next Friday. Well within our time frame! We are very happy that we chose Wertz Flooring that we found on Angie's List. Carpeting looks good and baseboard was not damaged - we had just gotten it painted.

In store service was great - went above and beyond to help me pick out what I wanted. I wanted men who did estimate to install floor - waited weeks for them to be free and scheduled way ahead - things happen during flooring installation and they were held up once again so I went with other installers. Installers were good - did a good job but didn't show up until after 11:00 both days - and were in a hurry to leave on last day when I had a few areas in the grout that needed re-done. They left me grout to do myself. Company offered to come back and do any grout areas I was concerned with. I haven't taken them up on the offer yet but will soon.

The owner actually did the work himself, and he was very friendly and helpful. Furthermore, he did good work, arrived on time, and charged a fair price. The carpets look great.

Had a house that had indoor/outdoor carpet in the kitchen. Even though I ended up loved having it in the kitchen (always warm, never sticky, no spilling, easy clean up, just vacuuming no floor scrubbing) I know most people would not want it. I am putting house on the market. Wanted kitchen, entrance way and half bath refloored. Got three estimates all were about the same but they were the lowest priced. Set up a time they showed up and did a great job. They were here all day. I feel they went out of their way to do a few extra things for the perfect look. Very satisfied , very professional, affordable,prompt and will tell friends about them. I am happy with a job well done.

I looked on Angie's list for a while and contacted a lot of places. What first impressed me about Wertz flooring was that they were one of the only people out of about 8 places that got back to me within 24 hours. They gave me a very reasonable price quote and were professional, respectful, and easy to work with. After they came out and measured and saw what needed to be done, they gave me a quote and the quote stayed firm. They came in and removed my old linoleum, put down new sub flooring (luan), removed all the shoe molding, removed the toilet, put down the new flooring, put back the toilet, and put back the shoe molding. It looks beautiful!! They made the floor look so much better than it did before and very much impressed me with their work. The whole job took about 3 hours and the workers were all very respectful, efficient, and thorough. I would definitely hire them again and recommend them to my friends and family!

They were prompt and did a great job. I know where the seams are, but I still can't see them. They were careful moving the furniture and did a great job of cleaning up. They pieced it in such a way that I had enough carpet left for a couple of throw rugs.

After a very satisfying experience with Wertz's wood flooring contractor I decided to have them install new Duraceramic tile flooring in some of my bathrooms and the laundry room. I selected my tile colors and was given a date and time the installer would show up. Brian told me the scope of the job would take 2 days. On the first day the installer was unable to come out because he had to work on his truck. So we rescheduled. Brian had told me they would show up at about 9:30 am. on the next day. At about 11:00 am I called the store to find out where my tile guys were. They had to call around and find them. They finally showed up around 11:30 with no explanation nor apology. They announced they would knock out the entire job in one day. My husband and I had a lunch date scheduled, so we left them to their work after going over what was to be done. We came back home and observed that they had not put down any floor coverings to protect our existing wood flooring or carpeting. Metal tool boxes and other tools were sitting all around, appliances from laundry room were in our dining room with nothing under them. I decided to walk around and see what had been done. I noticed that the finisher had nailed molding in front of the bathtubs instead of tiling and grouting up to the edge. Who does that? To make matters worse, I didn't realize it was not the same size as the rest of the molding in the rooms. I asked him to caulk the cracks where the edges didn't fit up. He did. I didn't realize at the time he should not have finished it that way at all, but didn't say anything to my husband, because, after all, those guys are the professionals. At around 6 pm, my husband and I left for dinner. They were still working. When we came back from dinner, they were gone having finished and put back the plumbing and appliances. My husband roared from the bathroom that it looked like a *#$% trailer park in there. Uh, oh. We also discovered that they had left a leak in the plumbing in the laundry room that had already damaged the caulk between the tiles. I put a bowl under the drip. The next day I called Brian. He came out after a few days and had a look at our concerns, assured us he would get things done to our satisfaction. I told him I was concerned that "Buddy", the tile guy, would be angry and not do a good job if he was sent back out. Brian assured us he would not mind at all and would work on anything we needed done. When "Buddy" showed up, it was clear he was on the defensive when his voice began to go up a notch to make excuses about the molding ("there was adhesive on the tub, so he thought it would look better to cover it up". Why not just take some mineral spirits and clean it off?). So we told him at the very least he had to match up the molding with the rest of the room. When he tried to tell me there were lots of different sizes of molding and it would not be possible to match, I informed him Brian had said he would order the correct size molding and he would have it when he came out. His face betrayed his excuse and he went out and brought in the molding. The leak ("plumbing just leaks"). The laundry room sink was not square with the wall and he didn't bother to even caulk the space. (He said it was like that when he took it out.) I guess he thought itI liked it crooked. I specifically requested he straighten the legs so they were square with the tile. Oh, and there was a piece of scrap tile embedded in the caulk right in the middle of the bathroom. He got to work. After a few minutes, he announced he was done. We walked around with him. He had caulked the space between the sink and wall to sort of make it look nice. He did redo the caulk in the bath where the piece of tile was embedded and he did replace all the molding. He had supposedly recaulked where the leak was, but when I asked him why it was still brown, he said it had to dry. He had not straightened out the sink legs. It looks the same as it did before he supposedly "fixed" it. In summary, I would not have "Buddy" work on an outhouse, much less my own house ever again. When I spend thousands of dollars on a home improvement project, I expect to have my house look better than it did before the work was done, not worse. I still have to go in and paint the molding because they reused my molding and it is cracked and chipped from first prying it out and then renailing it without any caulk on the cracks or nail holes. I consider this experience just another learning experience. NEVER assume your contractor will do the unwritten things the last guy did for you. And SPEAK UP if something doesn't seem right. All they had to do was ask and I would have paid extra for new molding, etc. if it wasn't in the scope of the contract. Yet, the guy just gave us attitude. We mailed the check and promised never to use Wertz again.

I stopped in Wertz showroom after seeing good reviews on Angie's list. I took samples of wood home to match existing flooring. Brian came to our house twice to make sure I had selected the best match. The contractor he sent out was a true craftsman and he along with his helper were amazing. The wood planks were custom cut and fit beautifully. We are very happy with the quality and pricing on this floor.

I can’t speak highly enough about Wertz. We came to them after an unfortunate situation w another company, with our home in disarray in mid-project and they were fantastic to deal with. Matt was great on the sales side, helping to guide us to a product we liked and Brian came to our house personally to measure and assess what needed to be done. The turnaround from order to install with Buddy, Sammy and Chris was quick and everyone involved couldn’t have been nicer and more professional. We’re very happy with the work that was done and will absolutely use them again.

I purchased a $200 value for $99 carpet repair service to have bubbles/waves removed from 3 bedrooms and hallway. When I called to set an appointment I was told that Mr. Wayne Hill would call me back. Within a few hours, Mr. Hill called and said he was in the area so could come to look at what was needed. He arrived shortly thereafter and said he could actually do the job right then. Wow, I was impressed. He was able to vastly improve the look of the carpeting in a short time frame. Mr. Hill was very pleasant and professional.

Job was not big enough for them so they thought it was ok to blow me off for a week or so. Went with a different company...

Mr. Brian Wertz was on time. Looked at the master bathroom floor. Said that the vinyl could be put over the tile flooring. He took the measurements and said that he would get back with me on a quote on the labor costs. NEVER heard from him. Very disappointed, I thought that since the owner came out and look at the job that I would get the information on a timely basis, since I was hitting a brick wall with other installers. I guess I was wrong. Don't know if the job is too small or they just don't want to be bothered with it.

Very good. Quality work and good follow up. Services were performed as promised. Done in a reasonable time. Had no surprises.

They showed up on time, did not mark up any of the walls, and completed their work in a reasonable amount of time.

After we decided on Wertz for our flooring, Brian and his associate, John, were so helpful in selecting new flooring. When we ran into unexpected problems with mold and water sub-flooring damage, they recommeded and excellent mold remediation contractor and coordinated with him and also the water heating staff at Absolute to keep the whole process as smooth as possible. Werts stored the flooring for us for several weeks until the sub-flooring was replkaced. The floor installer completed the work in a day and half as promised. Though Buddy, the installer, is generally meticulous about the flooring installation, he isn't as observant about exact placement of appliances after the flooring has been laid. The alignment of the stove and refrigerator had to be shifted to approximate their original locations. Also, because he was running a bit late for another job. some of the glue didn't dry at a floor/door seam. He did come back and fixed it so it now looks fine.

Everything went perfect. We called them and they came out and offered a coupon rate. I was very happy with their service and would use them again for any flooring needs.
