Terminix - Midlothian -Termite & Pest Control

I think they are easy to talk too and are responsive. The $300 is a yearly service fee.

They spray outside of the house and then they spray in. During the ant season they have to come back maybe two to three times. They are really good about coming back and taking care of it. The return visits are free of charge. We also have them once a year for termite inspection, and we use True Green which is a division of their company.

We haven't used anybody else before. They certainly come out appropriately and do whatever it is that they do. Our dogs haven't died so it's been good. We pay around $200 a year.

They do a fine job. I don’t have any problems. I am on a monthly plan, so it is $62 a month. The people who come out are respectful of my home. I would continue to use them in the future.

I am satisfied with their service and will probably use them again in the future.

Service Tech did not arrive for scheduled initial visit. I had to call to find out where he was. Did not know. Had to schedule for later the same week. Did termite inspection and outdoors pest spray. None indoors although I did say that I was having a problem with spiders and cobwebs. He said that I could spray the cobwebs and I later received insecticide by mail which leaked everytime I sprayed and had extremely strong fumes which would last a few days. I called later when I found evidence of mice. Technician came out and put a glue board and a bait box in my pantry. I mentioned that we had previously had mice problems several years ago where the mice were coming in from the crawl space up the space by the dishwasher. He said he didn't have the tools to get under my dishwasher but left me additional glueboards to use. I used a screwdriver and installed the glueboards myself. There was no follow-up. After the initial pest treatment, I was expecting to see a decrease in the amount of spiders around my home but in fact I think they have increased. I don't believe the pest treatment helped at all. A friend had recommended Terminix to me telling me about how prompt and thorough they are and that they treat her home inside and out. I'm not seeing it . This looks like a do it yourself. I could do just as well going to the local do-it -yourself supply and it would cost me a lot less. I was told initially that if I was not satisfied that I would be refunded my money prorated. I have requested a refund as of the first week of Sept. I called back the first week of Oct and it was still not processed but they said they saw where I had requested it but were only refunding much less because they were deducting all of their services they had provided. I should only be deducted for 1q svc but they are deducting a la carte. As of 10/17, I have not received my refund. I would recommend you use a local exterminator.

They came in and sprayed my house and around my house and garage as well. We have used them before as well and after they spray we don’t notice any more pests in or about the house. I would use their services in the future also.

They are okay. We pay $90 every three months. They are very punctual and they always call before they come so we are aware that they are going to be around. They aren't better than anyone else but they do show up. We will continue using them.

I have purchased a two-year contract from them. In my former house, I ended up having termites, and I spent money repairing damage because I did not have a contract. They guarantee that they will repair any damage due to termites. They are a company that is national and reputable; they have a large base and have been in business for a long time. They seem to know their business and offer multiple services. Their price is about $300 a year. I would use them again in the future.

The gentleman showed up on time for his first scheduled appointment and sprayed the house but I had to list off everything instead of him making any recommendations. Their guarantee is that if you see pests still after 8-10 days to call or go to your account online and reschedule for a FREE spray. I was still seeing pests so I went online to reschedule, set the date for a Friday afternoon (which the website said was available) and waited for that day. He never showed up, never called no contact at all So I sent an e-mail to customer service as a reply to the email sent to me confirming my Friday appointment. Heard nothing back from them either. (Strike one) Wednesday I get a voicemail from the guy basically stating, "I know you had an appointment at 3-5" (I never knew of this appointment) "but I have to leave your area around 12 to go to Charlottesville and do a few things, so can I come earlier?" I was very busy that day so it wouldn't work. I called him back to see if he could come Thursday or Friday both were "no, I'm sure I won't make it, I won't be in your area, I have other things I have to do" (Strike Two) So he finally says that he's usually in my area on Wednesdays. So I ask about the next Wednesday around 11:00. He asks if I'm sure about having to wait a whole week and I'm thinking to myself.. does it sound like I have any other choice? So the Following Wednesday, I get my infant up, fed and myself all ready in time for 11:00. I've canceled appointments and made sure to have no plans for that day. He doesn't show up, doesn't call, doesn't email!!! "Strike Three!! You're out!" Needless to say it seems they will show up when the company will get it's money, but ask for that Free spray and you won't get any customer service at all.

After the phone calls, I did not use Terminex for a pest control company.

I contracted with them for a year back in September. They have come back just to do follow up service. The price listed is for service for one year. I had a specific bug problem, which is why I signed up. I had never had a problem before. It was rooted deeply enough I could not solve the problem on my own. The first gentleman came from Terminix walked all around my house and put stuff down and it did not resolve the problem.They did send someone else out, as per contract, they will come as much as you need them. The 2nd guy said the first gentleman should have used different products. Once the new products were used, it took care of the problem. He was correct in his analysis. I was feeling pretty good about them until I got a phone call from someone at Terminix for a free termite inspection. He called me numerous times and I did finally make an appointment. He told me absolutely scary stories, which I would say qualified as scare tactics, to try to get me to sign up for thousands of dollars worth of termite insurance. So you would be paying for a different bug treatment (termites) and if something happens to your house termite-wise, they cover it. He told me a horror story of some person that recently had termites that ate his house and Terminix had to pay them $972,000. I felt it was clearly a scare tactic, which is against the law in the State of Virginia. He left his card and I told him I would think about it and call him. He called me twice after and I asked him not to call again. I feel that once they get their foot in the door they are really trying to sell you that big product. Yes, I would use them again but only because I am not going to be conned by their scary tactics on the termite insurance thing. I would not recommend them to someone else because I would be afraid that they would push their way in. If I had been a dumb little, old lady I would have handed over thousands of dollars in fear. Update 3/5/2012 - I requested that this company remove me from their mailing lists, but today I receive information from them all the time.

They show up on time and they have given us some good advice. They have been effective.

I called on Saturday morning after finding termite wings in my garage and they came that afternoon to inspect and give me an estimate. He spent about an hour inspecting around and under the house then went over his findings, our options and costs for treatments. They arrived when they said and did a very professional job.

I like feeling secure, that if there is a problem they'll come out and take care of it. (My little insurance policy against the termites.) I have a yearly contract with them so whenever I need them to come out it's free since it's covered under my contract. I will continue to use them for future service. The approximate cost listed is what I pay for the year.

I was pleased with the service. They really had their act together on the initial visit, so we signed a year contract with them. They were professional and on time and we pay for the service per quarter. I would highly recommend them to other people.

They are very friendly people and they do a good job. They were also good at answering any questions that we had. The number of insects has drastically decreased. They are expensive and due to that, I really think I will probably do a little more research before I sign another contract with them.

They found some serious mold in the crawl space under my home. They were very good and I felt lucky to have them. They were helpful and got me set up with vents down there to help prevent further buildup of moisture and the mold from returning. That and the work they did down there should prevent that from being a problem.

I really don t think they do too much for such a high price. I guess you really have no choice if you want to keep the bugs away because all the companies are about the same price. The guys that come are nice and polite.

Terminix is supposed to come on a quarterly basis, and they do not. Honestly, they come by when they feel like it, and they just show up. They are supposed to call when they are coming, and they do not. I do not really like that at all. They do seem to keep the bugs away, but they need to get their scheduling down a little better. After my contract is up, I probably will not hire them again.

Terminix is a nice company to work with. They are very helpful and are good about scheduling their visits to fit our schedule. We have not seen any termites since they have been putting in the stakes and checking them, which they have been doing for us for about two years now.

Terminix called before they came and they showed up on time. They advertised that their products were pet and people friendly, only after the chemicals dried. It didn't have a smell to it. They had free service calls and they answered all of my questions. I was pleased with the ending results.

I have them come out once a year just to check for termites. I usually didn t see them when they came out but they would do their inspections and leave me a report on their findings. So far I liked their service and we didn t have any problems with their program.

He did a great job, but I wish all companies would come out on a problem basis instead of wanting you to sign a yearly contract. This was also a yearly contract. They re a professional company, but they re hard to get hold of, but they do a good job.

Their service has been satisfactory; however we're retired so the cost of having them out has been an issue here with our town house association. I thought I would shop around before I signed with them again or anyone else. The bait traps were in the ground already so it shouldn t cost so much to merely inspect them now. I am not sure if I will keep using them.
