It turned out great. They were real nice and very professional. The whole operation went fine.

Mr. Rotter was reasonably priced and knowledgable about the project. They were prompt for the estimate and for the job itself. They were curious and professional. I would definitely use them again!

The technician arrived promptly, was kind and courteous, and REALLY knew his stuff. He clearly explained everything which was needed, and why it was needed, before presenting the estimate for our approval. This is, by far, the best plumber we have ever used, and we have already recommended him to our son who needs some plumbing work done.

Not only did the technician repair the trap, they checked the performance of the disposal. They also inspected the shutoff valves and the water heater and while they did identify some additional repairs that would need to be taken care of it wasn't followed by a high pressure sales pitch. I will use Mr Rooter for all my plumbing needs.

Our toilet was running slow, so we called Mr. Rooter because of Angie's List reviews. He showed up on time. He assessed the situation and began using an auger on the toilet. He says we need a new toilet. OK, but this is not the problem. After he left our toilet would no longer flush at all. At least we could flush it before he came. Worse yet, he left metal scratch marks all over the inside of the bowl. I drained the toilet with a cup and worked for 15 minutes with a scrub pad and scouring powder to try to get off all the marks (about 4 inches in length). After much exertion and sweating I could get all but one of them on the very bottom of the bowl. Now it always looks like there is a little bit of pooh in our toilet. So we are now significantly worse off than when we came. Also, he left a mark on our newly painted wall. Now we have to get a new toilet for sure because, but it won't be from Mr. Rooter.

We had a total house clog, on a Friday night called Saturday morning, spoke with the president and CEO, very nice and responsive, promised she would have someone with in two hours, called us back and had a tech out within that two hours. Paul the field supervisor came out could have charged a lot of money but was very reasonable and professional. Walked us through each step. Would definitely use and recommend again. Great service.

Another plumbing company had been unable to clear a clogged bathroom drain at my son's home even after using 2 different snakes. They then told him they would have to break up his tile floor and replace the old drain pipe under the floor. He would then have to get the tile repaired, and they would return and reset his toilet and sink vanity. Their estimate was $6,000! After joining and checking Angie's list, I suggested he get a second opinion and try Mr. Rooter. Boy, are we both glad he did! He called on Saturday afternoon, and the plumber arrived within about 30 minutes, and unclogged the line on his first try. He also had him replace the sink trap while he was there. He and I both will definitely use Mr. Rooter again and will share his experience with friends.

I thought he did a good job. They did a good job and they did it on time and when they said they would. They were very courteous and I thought the price was fair. We thought he was very knowledgeable. He explained everything he was going to do and was very pleasant to work with. We had a lot of confidence in him. My wife in particular thought he was very good and we would definitely use them again.

Great service! Called them at noon on Sunday and they had someone here by 4. Cody was professional and polite. Identified the problem and fixed it promptly. The price was very reasonable and the Angies list coupon made it even better. Will definitely use this company again for any plumbing issues.

The service was outstanding from the phone call I made to report the problem through the completion of the service. I made the call on a Sunday afternoon after coming back from a weekend out of town. I was told it may take two hours for someone to get to my house but it only took one hour or less. There was no EXTRA charge for it being a Sunday. The technician diagnosed the problem within 10 minutes and the job itself was completed in less than thirty minutes. Technician even helped me with a flush valve problem on another toilet for no charge because I actually had the part.

They were fabulous although I had to call them back because my sewer line issue was not completely remedied the first time. They came back with no problem. They work in the darkness of night outside. They say that they are not the cheapest in town but are not the most expensive. It is a family-owned and family-run company; I spoke with a number of their family members during this process. They were here for hours and were very conscientious. This company answered any and all questions I had; and I had a ton. They guarantee their work as long as I have the root treatment put in.

I am very happy with Mr Rooter of Richmond, this was a very satisfactory outcome. We were experiencing sewerage backing up into our bathtub. No amount of plunging or using a relatively short "snake" helped. A very professional, cordial, clean and friendly serviceman came out on a Sunday afternoon, with a call from the dispatcher giving us updates as to just when to expect his arrival. (Note: I had originally called R.J. Tilley, but they said they could not send anyone until the following day.) The Mr. Rooter serviceman identified that I must have a blocked sewerage pipe, but it took digging a trench and using a camera-equipped "snake" to locate my buried pipe and the root damage to it. I was pleased that I was provided with an estimate up front, and they stuck to this amount even though the diagnosis took several hours. I will call Mr. Rooter again if I have another plumbing problem.

Went very well. However, the first estimate that he gave me was very high for work that needed to be done and I was going to get a second estimate. I knew the estimate was high and told him. He reevaluated and when he realized that he did not have to replace all the pipes and cut the price significantly. He did a very good job, nice and professional.

I called another local business to have a kitchen drain unclogged. They referred me to Mr. Rooter because they were unsure if they could unclog the drain since the clog was in the wall. Mr. Rooter was incredibly busy but was able to send someone out to my house that afternoon. The technician was friendly and thorough. I will be using them again in the future.

I was very happy with my experience (as I have been with all of the times we used them). They arrived as schedule, were professional and were efficient. I used the Angie's list coupon. We have used Mr. Rooter of Richmond a few times and have always been very happy with them. We have used them for issues (drain cabeling, camerwork, etc) and to redo plumbing lines. I will continue to use them.

Excellent customer service and exceptional work from start to finish. I called for the estimate and Tish arrived very promptly the following day. She was so knowledgeable and informative. After struggling to get plumbing to my newly constructed garage for approximately 8 months, Tish came in and handled everything very diligently. I was up and running within a day or two. I would definitely recommend Mr. Rooter for all your plumbing needs!

We have used Mr. Rooter for several years now and have never been disappointed. We also have a maintenance plan that we purchased and receive a % off our work each visit. Great company with fantastic employees from answering the phone to doing the work!

We were so pleased with the price and availability of the services. Apparently they do not charge more for their services regardless of the time of the day they come. That was wonderful since we called on a Sunday night around midnight! Furthermore, they came back 2 additional times and did not charge for either return visit. They exactly pinpointed the area of the yard where the blockage was which enabled my husband and some friends to be able to do the excavation work and pipe replacement work themselves. This saved us over $2000. They checked back with us several times by phone to make sure we had gotten satisfaction with our plumbing. All in all, I could not recommend them highly enough! I was quite impressed!

I called Mr. Rooter to have my drain line cleared between the house and the street. I explained to the dispatcher the exact nature of the problem, that the main line to the house was backing up and that it needed to be cleaned. I then asked for a general price for the job. The dispatcher explained that a service call was $128 that would be applied toward the cost of the services provided. I pressed again for a general price for this type of service because I hate unbounded quotes. She again stated that it was $128 for the visit price. Having had previous experience with plumbers in other cities, I figured the job would take about an hour and cost about the same as the basic charge. After arriving at my house, the plumber, Trish, quickly came to the same conclusion about the problem. She explained that to snake the line from the house to the street would cost $303. She explained that houses of the age of my house often have drain lines made of clay pipe that decay and cave in over time. She also explained that tree roots are the typical culprit for these types of stoppages. I asked her how we could find out the true cause of the stoppage and the condition of the pipe. She said that she could run a camera line through the pipe at an additional cost of $85. At this point I was shell shocked and prepared for the worst. The plumber ran the snake through an open drain for the clothes washer and found the problem within 15 feet (baby wipes). She did not camera the line, but she did, to my amazement, go on to charge full price minus a $20 coupon. I called the owner, Lois, to complain about what I feel is a gross abuse. She claimed that they do not charge by the hour but rather by the job and that snaking from the house to the street is $303. She then said that the camera view was a standard part of their procedure, that is, they routinely offer the camera view of the pipe for no additional cost--not the $85 up charge I was quoted. So ultimately, I paid $303 for a plumber to snake the line 15 feet. The plumber did not run the line out to the street and we did not get a 'standard' look at our pipe. They showed up on time, but totally misled me on the price of the job. I am rating them low because I asked for the price of cleaning out a line from the house to the street and they only gave that to me once they arrived. Foolish me. Never again. Don't use these charlatans.
