Heather and Tish made one of the more unfortunate experiences of home ownership much more tolerable. They both were overtly pleasant, polite, and prompt. Tish was courteous in our home and even greeted our dogs with plenty of ear scratches. She's a class act. If all contractors treated customers with this level of service and professionalism......well, you get the picture.

It seems like the price for what they did was very reasonable. They came out when they said they were going to, they completed the work in a timely fashion, they were knowledgeable and I was happy with the work they did. I had a great experience with them.

Thanks again angie All the details are listed above. they were through & made sure I was satisified. I also had to call them for a bill they were not at all in a rush to get their money. My being satisified was the first order of business.

It was great. The worker was very professional, took the time to listen to me and understand exactly what I was having trouble with, and then talked me through everything he would do while pointing out prices at the same time. It helped me understand what I was getting into before the work started and prevented "sticker shock". He also pointed out some things that would be ok for now but that eventually I'd want to look at.

Had a slow running sink and decided to take off the trap to see what was causing the problem. When I attempted to loosen the pipe a chrome pipe broke in my hand. Called Mr Rooter at 10am. Call answered on the first ring. I was advised that someone would be out between 3 and 5. They showed up at 2pm. Looked at the problem and gave me a firm quote. Job finished in about an hour and they honored the 15% off Angies list coupon. Very satisfied with the response and service.

On a Sunday I encountered a clog in our kitchen sinks. We tried to resolve ourselves first, but realized the blockage was somewhere far down the line. I called the company and was greeted by a polite and professional employee who put in the call. To my surprise they are available for service on Sundays. Within 2 hours I had a technician at my door. I was shocked with how quickly they were able to respond. He laid out his mat and put on slippers to protect my floors upstairs as he came through the home. We explained to him what we did with our initial efforts and he immediately began to work with an 80 foot snake he had on hand. It wasn't too long before he was able to clear out the blockage. We tested it by letting the kitchen sink water run for a bit, while he wrote up the workorder. His appearance was professional and he was extremely polite. Not only was I happy that they were able to respond on a Sunday within just a couple hours of the call, but he was there less than an hour. I was extremely pleased with the entire process, and will certainly call them again if ever needed.

They were prompt and very efficient, the work was done and cleaned up in less than an hour.

Pretty well but when you hire a plumber you expect that they will not mind getting to pipes that are under a house.

Emergency call to provider based on notification from County there was a break in water line between meter box and house causing excessive water leakage. No time to get competitive estimates. Service technician arrival was slightly late based on promised arrival time. Tech. was initially unsure of where break was and unable to immediately give estimate of cost of repair since repair could be anywhere between meter box and house. Tech. was advised we had Angie's List coupon. Upon further observation, Tech's best guesstimate was the break was probably near meter box and the cost of repair would be exactly $550.00, "Angie's List price" . This was a surprise since exact location of the break was still to be confirmed. Tech had to dig 4' long 2 1/2' deep ditch to fortunately find and repair break near meter box. Tolal repair time was 1 hr. 45 mins. However, Tech left near end of repair for unknown reason and came back some minutes later to finish. Final invoice total was $550.00 and paid at scene with Tech indicating "Angie's List price" but no acknowledgement of coupon. Invoice indicates a figure of $128.53 marked out in favor of $550.00. $640.00 "standard rate" and $550.00 "member rate" also appears on invoice. Repair was good and continues to last. However, cost seemed high.

On time, quick work, very pleasant service man. My new plumber for future use.

Unclogged three toilets. Man was very nice, very efficient, and gave me a discount. What infuriated me was that nobody would tell me upfront how much it was likely to cost, not even that it would cost $128 just to come out. I never would have used them if I had known that. Not sure of the exact date or price in the blanks above.

I called Mr Rooter of Richmond this morning about my kitchen drain clog. I was expecting them to tell me they could schedule someone to come out tomorrow; however, they scheduled me for today. I was told it would be sometime between Noon and 2pm, and that they would call me 20 minutes ahead of time. They called, and the tech actually was here around 11:30AM. He was patient while I put my dogs out, laid out his foot mat to clean his shoes before coming inside - I really appreciate this, and prefer it to having servicemen covering their shoes. I have laminate flooring, and shoe covers are slippery when walking across them. The tech - Jonathan - introduced himself, asked about the problem, checked to see where the main pipe was located, and listened to me when I explained what we had done to try to clear it ourselves. We used a 25' snake, but it wasn't long enough to reach the clog. Jonathan explained to me what he would be doing, and the cost of the work. My printer was out of ink, so I could not give him my Angie's List coupon. Mr Rooter has the price list for Angie's List members worked up already, so Jonathan did not need to take the printed coupon since I had mentioned it when I set up the appointment. Whew! As he snaked the line, he explained how galvanized pipes differed from the pipes in newer houses, and also explained how to maintain them so that they did not clog up like this again. We had installed a new garbage disposal that will take larger loads than the pipes will allow. I had put apple peels down it - never again! Jonathan was in and out of my house in under an hour. The clog was completely cleared, I understood what I could and could not put down the new disposal based upon me having an older house with galvanized lines, and I knew how to maintain the drains by the time he left. He cleaned up everything very well. He was professional, patient, and knowledgeable - without being condescending. I really appreciated his courteous manner. I will recommend them and use them again.

On Monday , 25 Nov 2013 after 8pm i called the office after research on Angies list. I had an appt set for the very next day (tuesday) for show up time between 12-2pm. Johnathan arrived around 1:30pm (estimated time). He was only there for about 30 mins and provided me an estimate that i need to complately replace the water heater just by looking at it. I did not like the fact that he gave me an estimate just by a look over but after calls i made he was right. Before he left he advised me that i would need to have my dryer moved out of the way so they could get to the water heater. I advised him I had no way, he suggested i get my brother to do it. I was offended because 1. my brother does not live with me 2. i am paying you over 1000 dollars and you have to move the water heater so why not the dryer. I advised him that i can not move it alone but i would help him. One he left i called the office and advised them that he said he would not move the dryer and that i will not be able to hire them if they can not move the dryer. Once they agreed, my appt was set for the next day (wednesday) at 12-2pm. I received a call from the office at about 1:48pm advising me that the technicians would be there in about 20 mins. Once they arrived, it was a win lose situation. They tracked mud all through my living room from out side, they riped the kitchen floor (vinyl), tracked dirt and mud in there, once they took the old heater out he advised me it would not drain so he took it to my front porch and drained it there. I didnt find this out until they left once i saw the black and brown mess that was all over my front proch. Once i checked the water heater area i saw they poked a hole in my wall and for what reason i have no idea because it was not used. I did confron Johnathan about the floor (rip in kitchen) his reponse was "we dont accept reponsibility" as he shrud his shoulders and proceded to give me there magnet and say I hope to business with again. I got directly on the phone and spoke to the young lady who said the Saled superviosr is out until monday but i will let her know. I advised that i had before and after pictures to provide as proof. She stated that is good and to keep them. The customer service from Johnathan was what caused the score to be as low as i could give them with out feeling unfair to the company. He actually had some one in appreticeshp with him and i hope that he is not showing such skills to the new guy. i would buy from the company if ever needed.. Hopefully, i will not need them again. but if i do i will request that they send anyone but johnathan and if i see him at my door i will refuse to let them in. I just got my floors stained and he has caused additional work in my living for me.

These guys are great to work with. They helped a friend of mine in the middle of the night a year ago. When we started having water backing up we gave them a call. Paul took a very methodical approach to remedy the situation. First a simple cleaning, then a harsher drain/pipe cleaning. Then they scoped out the problem with a camera. We ended up needing to replace the entire sewer line. (it was over 60 years old) Tree roots had infiltrated the entire line at every joint. Paul, and another employee, and I dug by hand and clean out one section only to realize that every joint had allow roots to come in. How many companies would take the time to do that. Mr. Rooter tried their best to save me the cost of replacing this line. That's commendable. Thank you for all you did.

Paul and Zach came, very friendly. Paul explain to me as he was working. OMG found something that shouldn't of been there....still amaze but thanks guys!

Jonathan came out within 2 hrs. of our call. Very professional, friendly and even put booties on his shoes. Price was reasonable for a Saturday emergency and he also took our coupon! Would highly recommend them!

It was a good experience. It was a very difficult job he had to do and he was able to do it. he put a lot of effort into it. I thought he won;t be able to do it but he did.

Mr. Rooters appointment coordinator made the appointment for the morning after I called...less than a 24hr wait. Cody showed up at 9:30a. The window was 9am to 11am. Cody was so kind...he listened to me and really understood what I needed to have done. He discussed pricing before we started and the price was exactly what he quoted when finished. I was pleasantly surprised by the quote actually..considering my plumbing is circa 1964. The work is guaranteed for one year....bonus! The job was done perfectly...I have lived here for over 13 years and this shower has never worked so good. Thank you Cody! I will use Mr. Rooter again!

On July 9th 2013 Paul came to assess my drainage system in front of my house. He assessed the problem. He informed me of what the repair will entail, and that it will be expensive. He recommended that I contact V Dot and see what they could do 1st and if they couldn't do anything to call them back. I called VDot and they repaired the drain. I recommend and A+ for Mr. Rooter of Richmond Sewer Cleaning. They gave me good advice. I would recommend them to others.

The service was excellent! Paul was the service technician, and he arrived ready to go to work. I advised that my upstairs toilet seemed to be leaking at time when the toilet was flushed more than once in a certain time frame. The leak was showing on my acoustical ceiling over my kitchen as a stain since about 7/11. We discussed the fact that my kids used more paper than they were supposed to, and it was plunged more than I thought it should be. He noted that the plunger we had in the house was not appropriate for toilets, and was in fact putting a lot of downward pressure which would indeed cause the wax ring to loose its seal. He went to work pulling the toilet, and replaced the old ring with a new, taller was ring that would seal better. He suggested that we get original orange rubber plungers and toss out the old ones. When I noted that the sink upstairs always ran slow, even before the bathroom was remodeled (he may have been washing his hands & noticed how slowly it drained), he pulled the drain plug & set about fixing it. I think he may have pulled out a big clog as well. Now the sink runs beautifully, & I don't have to "clean the sink" after I clean the sink, because the water runs so slowly. My only minus would be the appointment time vs the time Paul arrived, which I realize is in no way his fault, as he has no idea when he walks into a call what type of repair he might run into or how long that repair might take. My appointment was for 2-4pm, so I made sure I was home that Saturday by 2pm; I got a call from Lois at 5:40pm that it would be about 45 minutes before he arrived, which he did, at 6:30pm. I just wish I'd gotten a heads up earlier about the potential time frame; I could have run some more errands in that 4 hours between 2 & 6 on my only day off. Overall, it was a good experience, & now I have a plumber to add to my growing list of vendors to use for home repairs. Angie's list does a great job of giving consumers the top rated people to handle anything you need, that are trustworthy and looking out for the customer. Thank you, Mr Rooter for a job well done! I'm sure I'll be calling on you again soon!

The initial plumber from another company did not fix the problem. The pipes burst the next winter. This company came out to fix the problem. We are assuming it is fixed. A fairly young guy came out, but he was very professional. He was also very respectful of the property.

JONATHAN ARRIVED EXACTLY ON TIME, WAS POLITE, SMILING AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. HE FIXED THE PROBLEM AND GAVE ME SOME ADVISE OF SOME OF THE OTHER ITEMS IN OUR KITCHEN THAT WOULD NEED TENDING TO EVENTUALLY, BUT ASSURED ME THEY WERE NOT EMERGENCIES. GAVE US AN ESTIMATE FOR THOSE ITEMS, AS WELL, SUCH AS OUR 20 YEAR OLD WATER HEATER AND THE OLD PIPES UNDER THE KITCHEN SINK. I USED MY 15% OFF COUPON FOR ANGIE'S LIST MEMBERS WHICH MADE THE WHOLE THING, TIME, LABOR AND ESTIMATES, $110.00 I THOUGHT THAT WAS REASONABLE AND I WILL DEFINATELY BE USING THEM AGAIN. WE ALL KNOW ANY TYPE OF SERVICE CALL IS GOING TO BE COSTLY, BUT THIS REPAIR/ADJUSTMENT DIDN'T BREAK MY BANK ACCOUNT. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Paul - who responded to the initial call - was great. Timely, efficient and appropriately concerned. Did not leave until all our questions were answered, told us what to expect in terms of replacing the water heater and what we could consider in terms of repairing the damage that was done. He was absolutely correct in his advice, and followed through on what he promised.
