Overall, I couldn’t have asked for better. Two men completed the painting and both were excellent painters, with good manners.

I had a wonderful experience with Hetrick Painting. Rob Hetrick was flexible and willing accommodate my schedule and needs. The work was completed as requested and in a professional manner. I could not have been happier with the quality and the customer service. I will call Rob Hetrick again when I need painting done.

They painted the interior of my house, the walls and the trim work, some doors. I did have some issues with them in terms of quality, as far as issues of matching the paint. One of the panels I had in the wall, and they said they couldn't match it. Seems that they got the base incorrect. I was very troubled by that. I told them the name of the paint. And in terms of style. I had significant issue the way the paint was executed, the sheet rock repair, generates a lot of dust, they didn't bother to wipe off the surfaces, and it was a mess. That was a mistake. I am not convinced, that they sanded between the paint layers. I had to get them to sand the walls down and get it repainted. It was a very immature job. They were picked out by my general contractor. I had issues with this painter. They stretched out the job longer than they had too. It added another month that I could not get back into my house. He was supposed to place a back door in my house. It is a thumbs down on this company.

Have used Hetrick in the past and his quality has gone down each time. Have to be careful to get everything in writing. He is a nice, professional person but takes a hands-off position with his crews. At first the crews were very good and careful with details, but this last crew, though punctual and polite, were unskilled, did not all speak English, seemed untrained, and appeared to rush to get the job done quickly. They did not know how to sand and scrape before and after painting the windows. Things might have been better with his best crew, but I do not want to take the chance again for the price he charges.

The job went well. Rob was quick to get out to the house to provide us with a quote and was extremely flexible in scheduling as we were in the process of moving across the country and into this new home. They began painting while we were still on the west coast packing up our belongings and were able to get a good deal of the work done before we got back. The job initially started as painting ~50% of the interior of the home, but once we saw how well it was going, we made the decision to paint a couple more rooms, all the trim, and the ceilings throughout the house. Rob was quickly able to upsize the job and reshuffle guys to get the full job finished in a timely manner. When there were any issues with the painting (paint splash, touch ups needed, etc.) they were very responsive in correcting the issue. Rob and Bob were both very easy to deal with and their crew of guys were very pleasant to have around the house. We would look to use them again for any painting job we may have.

Painted interior house while out of town. Went well. Moved all furniture, etc. and put back. Did this very well. Quality of painting was only average.

It went very well. I was very pleased. They were very clean, very nice people, and very professional. He comes on time and I was happy with the price. I am going to be using him again.

I was quite pleased with them. They cleaned up behind themselves, they used quality paint. They were nice folks to have around, we were comfortable having them around the house working, and I was quite pleased with them.

Contracted with Rob Hetrick He is very professional and puntual. Matched price from another contractor as we were more comfrtable with him. Since entire house had to be upset, we had work performed while we were out of town. WE fully trusted Mr. Hetrick and checked him out thoroughly. Work was done, quality not as good as I had hoped. We had several places to finish/touch up and they responded immediately. Another problem was the main trim color (white) was not what we asked for as they used an antique white. We pretty much had to live with it. Overall, for such a large job and the amount of stuff they had to move around, it was a good job.

Work was done in the summer of 2004. We had a mildew problem and my utmost concern was to remedy that problem--that was made abundantly clear to Mr. Hetrick, the gentleman who bid and planned the job. He assured me that proper cleaning and coating would solve the problem. He also assured me I should expect to get a minimum of five years from a proper paint job (believe he actually said more but I don't remember the exact number). Within two months, the mildew had returned. Now, in the summer of 2007, paint has peeled so badly from the trim that we need to repaint now. Chaulking was inadequate so siding will need to be replaced. Mr. Hetrick returned after I reported the mildew but said the job was adequate and did not provide any remedy.

I thought dealing with Steve MacClenny, the boss of the company, was great. He made things simplistic and easy. The work got done and it got done fast. It was done very neatly. They didn't leave a mess around my house. They worked quietly and I would be sure to call them again for my painting needs in the future.

I am pleased and would use again. I thought the price was very reasonable. The owner is quick to respond to messages and also recommended a less expensive, yet as long lasting alternative that saved me money, which I appreciated. Once the job began he presented me with an itemized list of all of the wood rot they found, which was a lot more than I knew about, but necessary. I needed to replace the shutters and he ordered and picked them up for the job as well. The only negative was the length of time it took to complete the job. The carpenter he uses had several unexpected family illnesses that prevented him from working on the house. Overall, the final product looks great and workmanship seems first rate.

I have been using them for the past ten years to do the painting around my house. They are very reliable and do an excellent job. When they come out they work very hard to get the job done quickly but also correctly.

I wouldn't give Hetrick Painting an A on prices because they charged us a little more than the initial estimate that they gave us. But that wasn't a real big deal because they used good quality paint and did a great job. They worked hard on it and were good about everything. Our house turned out really nice so we were happy with them.
