We have used them before for painting on the exterior and liked their work. Rob said the work would take a whole day. Work was started on Wednesday(2/6) and finally completed on Monday(2/11). Work the first day did not turn out as we desired. We had to call Rob to come and look at the job performed in our master bathroom which had many painting defects. The master bath was not rolled properly and there were smudges. The half bath had two areas which needed to be touched up. The upstairs bedroom was partially done, and I had to have the gentleman come back because he only did half of the job. The section in the garage was not even touched. Rob had agreed to take care of the job in the garage for free. We had to look over their work and tell Rob we were not satisfied. Rob sent Ryan and Darryl to complete the job in the master bathroom, upstairs bedroom and half bath. They did a very good job. The other two workers we were not satisfied with their work and would not recommend them. Ryan and Darryl were excellent and hard workers. The other two workers came back and completed the small section in the garage because one of them was the only person that did drywall repair. The job was finally completed on Monday, February 11. As for the price, here is the breakdown by Rob: $200 for upstairs bedroom(1 wall & partial ceiling) $250 for master bathroom $130 half-bath $190 for 5 gallons and 1 quart of paint. (This was about $30.00 too high) $35 per hr for drywall repair=$320.00 Serious!! They only spent 4 hours at the most. The total cost was $1,090.00. This total cost was too high. Based on Rob's information, the paint cost should have been $160.00. We told Rob that we felt $150.00 for the drywall work in the upstairs bedroom was a more accurate number. Rob agreed to reducing the total cost for the job from $1,090.00 to $890.00. We are pleased that Rob was willing to go along with the price of $890.00 which we recommended. A recommendation we have for Rob is this: Write up a formal estimate for a job instead of listing numbers on the back of a business card. We would not use this company thanks to the owner Rob and the problems we had with the final price/services rendered. We should not have to haggle over the final price. We got the price dropped by $200 dollars which is what it should of been in the first place.

We contacted Rob Hetrick after purchasing an Angie's List Big Deal for painting services for a day. He was responsive and ready to schedule the service at our convenience. Our project was to prep and repaint a bright green bedroom to a more neutral color in preparation for eventual resale of our home. Even though paint was not included in this deal, Rob offered to purchase the paint for us so that we could benefit from his contractor discount (We will repay him!). The painters, Ihab and Amjed, were punctual, polite, neat and eager to please us. A few suggestions (for the customer) to maximize your value: ? Have a clear plan for the scope of the project and secure paint needed. ? Move furniture a day ahead. We left 2 heavy pieces in the room that the painters easily covered and worked around. ? Have a short list of small tasks that can be done during drying time between multiple coats. (example: trim painting, prepping another area,...) The job turned out beautifully! The contractor called immediately after the workers departed to make certain I was pleased with the completed job. I would recommend this contractor to my friends!

My son wanted his music room on the third floor of our house painted. He and I planned to do the work, but there was a staircase with 2-story high walls that presented a problem for us. I got an email with a coupon from Angie's List for this company, so I decided to call. I am so glad I did! I spoke with Rob on the phone. We discussed the job and he scheduled a team of 2 men to come out the next day. The painters were on time, professional, enthusiastic, and did a fantastic job! They worked efficiently and very cleanly. When they finished the stairwell, they still had some time left over (from the coupon), so they asked me what else I wanted them to do, and they painted an alcove at the top of the stairs, too. I couldn't believe how quickly they did the job! My son and I are very happy with the work they did. They exceeded my expectations. I plan to call them for more painting jobs in the future!

I bought an Angies List Big Deal for a painter for a day with Hetrick Painting. Rob Hetrick was veryresponsive and flexible. I had selected my paint colors and he was able to have it matched with the paint supplier he utilizes. He acquired the paint at using his contractor discount for this job, which saved us money. The gentleman sent arrived a bit after the time quoted but that was not a huge deal as it was a work from home day. The job was done very quickly, in about 5 hours, and the quality was great. If I'd known how efficient he was going to be I would have him paint several more areas. I would use Hetrick in the future.

Rewriting my review. After some initial communication problems, Rob contacted me after the painters left to make sure that we were happy with the work that was done. I had a small issue with very tiny paint splatter and a rough spot on the wall. Rob wanted to make sure that I was happy and sent someone out right away to take care of both issues. The painter cleaned up the small paint splatter, re-sanded a part of the wall and repainted and now it looks great! I was very impressed with the high level of customer service that Hetrick painting provided and can highly recommend them to anyone for future painting needs

Quality of work was acceptable. Crew was professional. Timing estimate was way off, to the order of roughly twice what was anticipated. Haggled over pricing with owner. Neither of us were happy at the end. I would NEVER EVER purchase a flat hourly certificate for a service like this again. There is no motivation to move quickly through the job and keep things on budget. Shame on me for not sticking with my gut instincts. Had I got a flat rate to do both rooms that I thought was acceptable I would have had no qualms with what was done, however when someone estimates how long it should take to do the project, that should be what they stick with. I was disappointed with the experience overall because of this fact and most likely would not go down that road again. If you have everything well defined prior to purchase, you would probably be okay.

I got an estimate from Hetrick and it was very fair. I knew their work would be professional but I decided to go with a different painter as they assured me they could get the job done more quickly.

Rob arrived promptly to take a look at the work and provide an estimate. Work was completed by two workers in 4 days over 2 week span and done very well. No Problems. Update: Some of the stain work on the garage steps needed to be touched up. Rob should provide a formal estimate, not a quote on the back of a business card. The price for the complete job seemed quite expensive. Should have negotiated with Rob on getting a lower price for the complete job. Upon further investigation this is what it should be. I feel I have been over-charged by Rob again. Price Breakdown: $350 roof metal parts 40 shutters 50 stain door $1200 deck/screen railing/garage steps/ 3 enclosures(AC/Generator/Garbage) 210 for paint approximate Subtotal: $1850 -200 coupon= $1650 So the problem is $470 price difference. This needs to be explained Rob. The estimate he gives is not close to what he told us for the final price. This is not a car dealership and no one should have to haggle over a price that is extremely different. Very unprofessional in my opinion. We did use this company again for interior painting which was a big mistake.

It went very smoothly, very professional, not an easy room to paint due to it's hardi plank appearance. Lots of caulking was involved, as well as paint. It is a large room as well.

The removal of the wall coverings took more effort than we thought it would take. Due to the removal of the wall coverings, the repairs were a little more extensive than was expected. But, they did a great job on the removal and repairs. The painting was fine, but the total job took longer than we had anticipated. We found a couple of minor touch-up issues after they were done and they came right out and fixed them. Our only complaint was that there were lots of little paint spots on the hardwood floors that we had to remove and we had been very specific about not getting any paint on the floors.

Hetrick Painting, Inc. (HPI) did a beautiful job. They have a crew that comes to your home. One of them is an expert on prepping the walls. The others do the painting. They are amazing. The paint job is very professional. The crew showed up on time, asked questions as they went along to be sure it's what I wanted, etc. The place looks beautiful. I would have them back anytime and highly recommend this company. Once again, I found them on Angie's List. Another success story just from signing up for this service. Incredible job. You will not be disappointed.

We found Hetrick Painting on Angie's List and chose them because of their positive reviews. The owner, Rob, was very quick to call us back and came out and provided and estimate promptly. Everyone who performed the work at our home was wonderful. They were incredibly polite, trustworthy and timely. We were very pleased with the quality of their work.

Painters were punctual and polite. When we weren't satisfied with the final quality of the two bathrooms, the painters returned the next day to paint them again. Will definitely use Hetrick in the future.

Good job, they provided the paint for the ceiling and I provided paint for the trim. Both the ceiling and trim required 2 coats of paint. Overall, very good experience.

We learned of Hetrick Painting from an Angie's List promotion. They were quick to come and did a profesisonal job of painting our family room. The crew did a great job of painting the walls a new color and painting the ceiling white. The work was done quickly and the room looks so much better and brighter!

Mr. Hetrick and I have since negotiated the price of the paint from $204 down to $75 and have parted on good terms. I am an older person and Mr. Hetrick was, at all times very respectful and worked with me. I appreciate that.

Hetrick Painting was offered as a Big Deal on Angie's List as $200 for 8 hours painting. My house was built in 1920. The painter was an older individual, with 20 years experience. He sanded and painted the areas listed above, and went over the 8 hour limit. The next day Rob came to inspect. There were some minor flaws in the paint job, but they were more than willing to come back to sand and touch up these areas on a timely basis. Overall, I am probably more picky than most customers, who might not have even noticed these areas. There was a little miscommunication in regard to the cost of the paint an primer, but it turned out that the high quality paint cost $53/ gallon. The paint was a separate fee. I was glad that they used primer, because in my experience, primer-paints do not have longevity on the exterior.

The experience was fine overall. The painters were efficient, professional, and did a good job!

They were incredibly attentive and responsive. It was very important to him that I was satisfied with the job. The B in quality is because some places that were spackled still show through and may require additional coats of paint, but my walls were in pretty bad shape and I don't expect anyone to have to put on more than two coats of paint!!

Overall I was very pleased and would use Hetrick again. They were flexible with the date/time; they showed up on time. They did a very good job of painting and it was done in 3 hours. They covered furniture and moved it carefully when necessary. Rob was very easy to work with and he honored my Angie's List Big Deal with no problems, even though the scheduling had to go past the expiration date because his business was so busy. Once we agreed on a date, though, he was very responsive and got the job done. His crew was very nice and professional.

We don’t use them anymore because we have siding on the house. They cost a little more but they are very high quality painters. They did an amazing job and it was worth the extra money we paid. The paint job still looks great; it is because the type of paint they used was better quality. They know what they are doing. They moved everything themselves, I did not even have to lift a finger.

The company was very responsive and prompt. The painter was clean and skilled. The work was performed very well and we are pleased with it.

Mr. Hetrick was very punctual and actually painted my room ahead of schedule, being sure to thank me for being flexible with scheduling. The two men who painted were professional but did not speak clear English. Mr. Hetrick called after they finished and asked if I was pleased with the work. At that time I had one or two concerns and I was told he would come to the house in two days to inspect and repair anything that needed it. He came as stated and patched a place or two but did not inspect the entire job. Since that time, I've become aware of a few more places that need touching up. It appears that when the painting tape was removed, some of the paint peeled off. There was a large splatter of paint in my bathtub, some splatters on my bath lighting and some on my towel rack. There is also a splatter of paint on my carpet which looks as though the painters tried to wipe away with a cloth. Now it has dried and I'm unable to remove it. I thought his price was a little high, too. I had an Angie's List coupon for $99 off for which I paid $49. Only the walls were painted, no trim, no ceilings. However I still owed him $425 for the master bedroom and bath. I was not given an estimate so was surprised by the amount outstanding. Mr. Hetrick was most pleasant and professional throughout.

The painter arrived on time. This was an Angie's List "Big Deal". He did an excellent job and cleaned up well before leaving.
