Everything about AirRight is 5star. The office employees are courteous and professional. Mike, the technician, arrived promptly after calling to give me a headsup that he was on his way. He was courteous, professional and did the furnace seasonal cleaning and tune-up efficiently and thoroughly. Ee ref the 10% senior discount. This is the 3rd time we've used AirRight; first to service our A/C (had seasonal appt set and then rhe AC conked out on us day before appt; AirRight fixed & performed seasonal maintenance but only charge lower maintence labor charge.) Have had them ou t twice for seasonal maintenance and startup with our oil furnace. I highly recommend this company. Knowlegeable really good technicians who do their stuff without cutting corners.

Some problem with automatic settings from day to night and back to day.I am not mechanically apt so I have more than usual difficulties. The tech was very professional and spent a good amount of time checking the unit. His recomendation was to change the entire unit and estimate from air right was very high.

When we first moved into this house, june 2013, the HVAC unit died and home warranty company sent us a provider who unknown to us installed a 2.5 ton unit to replace our 3.0 ton unit. There were problems after problems and that provider then disappeared. AirRight came in July 2014 and discovered the duct work was never done properly and that the HVAC unit was smaller than needed. They didn't pressure us at all in our decision to have them do the ductwork first and see how it went. Things improved measurably but after a year we still were unhappy with performance and so asked AirRight to install a new HVAC unit. It is a 3.0 ton high end Lennox system and they installed new registers and baffles to regulate air flow to rooms in a more efficient way. The difference was extraordinary and we are very pleased with their work. They really understand air flow and our house is mostly glass with cathedral ceilings that can get cold in winter and hot in summer. They also came back a few weeks later to check that everything was working well. This is a truly wonderful company with integrity and skill.

After getting three estimates from local contractors I decided to get one more and called Bill Hix @ Air Right. Bill spent significant time going over what would need to be done to resolve my cooling and heating issues. I bought my home 11 years ago and received the basic builder grade units that the builder gives you. After spending about $500 each year the past few years to maintain the builder grade units we finally realized the need to replace the units. Bill pointed out the shortcuts that the builder took when I bought my home. The air ducts had many kinks and improper positioning that slowed the air flow. The crew was very professional and arrived on time each day and explained each way of the process. The workers even stayed until 7pm on the second day to finish the job. The new Trane units are working great. Bill was right when he said we will be cold leaving the thermostat at 75, My old system had to be set at 70 to get the house somewhat cool. I now leave it at 78 degrees and the house is very comfortable. These new variable speed systems Trane offers are incredible. The humidity levels on the thermostats are always in the 45-50% range which is where the units are designed to keep it. You can even control your thermostat from your I-phone. As I did my research people often pointed out that its not the product but the installer that makes a difference. I now understand what they mean. The best system with poor air ducts is worthless. Was Air Right the cheapest? No. but they got the job done right and didn't take shortcuts. Also, they come back about a month after the install and do a complimentary performance test to make sure the system is operating as designed and answer any questions or concerns you have. I would highly recommend considering Air Right for your HVAC work.

The work was fine. Nothing stood out particularly. We paid for whatever the service call was and then we paid another $100. He showed up a day late, but that was because he had the wrong address. I am not really sure how that happened so he came out on a Saturday when I don't think he was supposed to be working. He was fairly punctual.

A/C unit died in July 2011 and AirRight (formerly Hix) came out and installed a new Trane heat pump & gas furnace. They actually loaned a window AC unit until they were able to install our system. System has been running great, and very efficient. We also went with a new tech thermostat, XL950 which has had a few hiccups over the years. Each time, Airright has been responsive and fixed the issue quickly. Highly recommend these guys if you need HVAC work.

Bill Hix is incredibly knowledgeable and easy to work with. He and his team understand the "mechanics" behind the scenes and did a lot of additional work to ensure that the system was optimally configured. Great follow-up and great products. Bill is a true professional and provided very personal attention to our project. Very please with the system and the resulting fuel cost savings.

The technician arrived on schedule and explained to us the reason for the issue and the proper method for us to use to prevent future re-occurrence issue. He was very professional.

Excellent install - 2 men arrived at the appointment time with all equipment and parts to complete the job in one day. Workmen divided up the jobs and went about their business in a professional and courteous manner. After work was completed, I had the opportunity to examine all the units and found the work to be very satisifactory.

Scott C. arrived squarely within the service window, and was polite and very knowledgeable. Our central air had been non-functional since last summer, and with his expertise, we were able to determine that the system was cutting out due to a pressure problem. We cleaned the intakes and resolved the pressure issue, then he checked the freon, and found that (a) it was a little low, and (b) that there was a small leak, which he also repaired. Now the system is running smoothly again, even better than before. And on top of the great service, Scott helped us by bringing a Dominion Power rebate program to our attention, which will end up paying for everything but the cost of the freon refill. I could not have asked for a better experience. If you need HVAC help, AirRight Inc are the ones you want to call.

AirRight showed up on time and completed in the time planned. They promptly cleaned up and made sure that everything was in proper condition when they left. Based on previous work they had completed, I signed up for an annual maintenance contract. They service both of my air systems 2x per year and respond with 24 hour service at no additional charge.

The repairman was a little bit late on the first visit. He spend about 10 minutes checking over the unit and determined that the ignitor had gone bad. He replaced the ingitor and left. After about 5 hours of our heating constantly blowing out heat we realized that there was still a problem. We called the company and set up another appointment to have them come out and figure out what was going on. On the next visit the repairman determined that a wire had gone bad. Once the wire was replaced, everything worked fine.

They were great. I might end up using them for a bigger job. They came out the day that I purchased the big deal. It was really cold. I don't have anything bad to say.

Technicians are always polite and responsive. I feel confident they do a thorough check of my system.

It went very well. They showed up when they said they would, & got it done. They were personable & professional, & I appreciated how Bill, Nick, & Tracy patiently listened to my concerns & answered my questions.

The technician, Scott, was very professional and informative. He was direct and honest with me, which I really appreciated, and gave me tips on things to keep an eye on (I am a first time home buyer). He was most certainly on top of his game and hustled. As a fellow tradesman I must say he impressed me, definitely worth his weight! You have a valuable asset of an employee!
