Description of Work: They left a left a hole where the repair occurred. The problem was the rubber seal used to repair the drain pipe was too large. WE had to carve our a space in the new drywall prior to installation.

Description of Work: Had a plumbing emergency and needed plumber to come in AM as I had to leave town in the afternoon. This was the 4th plumber I called. Jerry came within the hour and got issue restored to working order, then gave me a reasonable quote for a permanent fix. Price for repair was appropriate.

Description of Work: Replaced a leaking hot water heater with a new heater. Friendly and courteous on phone, technicians were able to come same day I called, arrived on site sooner than promised, and completed job quickly and really knew what they were doing. Seemed a little pricey, but for same day service, three days before Thanksgiving and getting competent, skilled technicians, I was thrilled and didn't mind.

Description of Work: The guy who came to install the water heater could not have been nicer or more professional. He explained as much as I needed to know, in a straightforward way. The job was done quickly even though he had to call a co-worker to bring a low-boy water heater that he did not have on his truck. Excellent clean-up. Definitely would use again.

 + -1 morethe supervisor came on Thursday, and mentioned putting valves on the pipes, and agreed to put in a new shower diverter and faucet. Friday morning two plumbers arrived to do this, and said they would have to cut another hole in my bedroom wall. I asked who would close the hole, and they just looked at me. I didn't want another hole in my wall. But they called the supervisor, and he explained to me that it had to be done in order to install the new diverter. He said the plumbers would install a patch on the wall, so I agreed. There is a little damage to the wall, but with a little spackle and paint, I can cover it. I wasn't sure the young men knew what they were going to do, but the supervisor explained to them how to do it. Their bill was less than I feared, with the 10% off coupon. I'm very pleased with the new faucet assembly.

 + -1 moreOverall, I was pleased with the service. Jerry suggested several options and their approximate cost and I chose the simplest, and cheapest, option. Jerry arrived promptly to fix the incorrect installation. Price seemed a little high but I really have nothing to compare with so it may be a good price. Would have been "A" for quality except for the initial bad install.
Description of Work: Called with bad odor from hot water due to microbes in well water. Jerry arrived promptly as scheduled and suggested several options to solve the problem. I elected to have 20 micron filter put on hot water discharge and a date was scheduled to install. No time was scheduled and we were away from the home for several hours and found the installation completed when we returned (hot water heater is in crawl space). I immediately noticed that the installation was not plumbed correctly and called Jerry. He arrived within one hour, agreed that it was incorrect (it was not installed by Jerry but by a helper) and immediately corrected the plumbing. The filter solved the odor problem. Overall, I was pleased with the service. Jerry suggested several options and their approximate cost and I chose the simplest, and cheapest, option. Jerry arrived promptly to fix the incorrect installation. Price seemed a little high but I really have nothing to compare with so it may be a good price.  + -1 moreOur one handle faucet doesn't even say the brand name and he thought it looked like a Price Pfister. He told us it's very hard to get parts for them that Lowe's (where I purchased the faucet) doesn't carry parts for that brand. It wasn't until he left that I found our paperwork on the faucet and it is a Moen brand single handle. It's doing great and not leaking at all, and he said to call if we have any other problems with the faucet, but unfortunately we would probably have to replace the faucet if it were to leak again. I thought the invoice ($235) seemed a little high considering the time he was here 15+ minutes and replaced a very small part. The invoice did not indicate a Saturday surcharge and I asked if they charged for it, and he said they did, but only a very minimal amount. He didn't indicate how much. I would definitely call this company again and glad they were able to respond so quickly.
Description of Work: I called the office on Friday and requested a repair of our single handle faucet (which is only one year old) that had been leaking around the handle then eventually began leaking from the base and from the entire faucet. They asked if I wanted someone to come out tomorrow (saturday) and I said yes. I meant to ask if Sat was a surcharge and forgot, and they didn't mention it either. Told me someone would be out between 12-2 Saturday, and before 12 I received a phone call they were running behind and would definitely be out and would call with an update. They called before long to say Jerry was on his way. He arrived and was very busy and apologized for running late and said he was working on an emergency. In a few minutes he diagnosed our problem and said he didn't know if he had a part on the truck that would fit. He found a part quickly and was in and out of our house within probably 15 minutes.

The faucet replacement was performed the following day only a half hour after the window of time stated. I did, however, receive a call stating they'd be a tad late so it was really no big deal. The plumber did the work efficiently even checking under the house for any other problems that might be present. He even attached the hose to the faucet which I had taken off earlier. I feel lucky to have found such a great company!

They worked together to identify what needed to be done and Jerry did a good job explaining what needed to be done and why. The job was completed efficiently and the sink has never worked this beautifully. This team went above and beyond to answer questions, explain charges and satisfy this customer. I would use them again and would recommend them to others.
Description of Work: Remove old garbage disposal and replace all kitchen sink drains. Also replaced 30+feet of drain under house to main house drain pipe.

 + -1 moreI called in the morning at 8am they said they would be there at 5:30 but actually were able to show at 4, they ended up replacing 25 feet of water main and the main water valve, which was actually what I wanted done, as the pipe had leaked in three places and it was better to just replace the copper with PVC, then they also hooked up a water line to my fridge in 15 minutes, it was all pretty painless and okay, it retrospect I wish I would have bough my own pvc considering the cost of materials but that is pretty standard, they definitely made up for that with great service
Description of Work: We had a leak not bad but definitely needed taken care of,and it was the third leak in that length of pipe there was a leaking water main valve that was in pretty bad shape and a water line that needed connecting to my fridge

 + -1 moreJerry came out immediately to assess the problem. It was after hours, and he surprised us with the speed of his response. He put us in a situation in which we could use water in the rest of the house. Then he ordered a very special part for us. When it came in he sent two people out to do the installation and repairs. They were very professional and very clean. They did outstanding work and did it with a good attitude. The bill was high only because of the very expensive fixtures we had installed. I think the price was very fair. The had to order some special screws that had worn out (to keep a panel up on the side of the hot tub). I have confidence that as soon as the parts come in they will be back to finish the work.
Description of Work: They repaired a broken pipe, replaced a hard-to-find tub faucet, and replaced two drains.

I called Absolute Plumbing (Jerry) on Sunday afternoon at 4:45pm, explained that the main water supply connection to the water filter came loose and that I didn't have any water. Jerry said he would be at my house at 5:30. He was right on time. I showed him where the existing filter was and gave him a new one to install. He corrected the plumbing fittings and installed the new filter. At the end he told me to go to his web site and print off the coupon which saved me $45. He also did not surcharge me for coming out on Sunday evening for the emergency repair. I'll definitely use Absolute Plumbing again.

The plumbers showed up, diagnosed the issue and took care of the problem. The following morning Jerry called to check to see that everything was working and done to my satisfaction. Note to potential customers: be sure to check the Absolute Plumbing web site because it will have discounts. For my job, there was a coupon that eliminated the service fee, which saved me $45.

 + -1 moreLong story short I got a few estimates including one from Jerry Castelow w/ Absolute Plumbing & Mechanical. He was not the least expensive nor the highest but I knew after meeting with him, he was the one to go with. I was extremely impressed with his knowledge, professionalisim, and genuine desire to do right by the customer. He does the work as if he was doing it for his own or better yet his mom's house. The work was meticulous and almost like a work of art, at least as far as plumbing goes, He is a TRUE PROFESSIONAL! Installing natural gas is a tedious process as their are multiple steps withe permits and working w/ both the city (Richmond) and county (Henrico) but Jerry assisted and was flexible from start to finish. He is a Master Plumber and Gas Fitter and Iwould HIGHLY recommend him to anyone who wants Quality work at a fair price. From now on he is the only person/company I would ever use for my plumbing and gas needs.
Description of Work: We decided to go with Natural Gas for our water heating, cooking, and supplemental heat needs. we've never had gas service so we had to start from scratch. The city supplied the gas line from the street to the house but we needed a Master Gas Fitter to install and run the lines from the meter througout the house for the appliances. We had bought a new natural gas tankless water heater that also needed to be installed so we needed the plumber as well. we also had a few other plumbing issues that needed to be addressed as well includine redoing the hot/cold water supply and drain pipe for our clothes washer.
