Awesome service! I had almost immediate response to an under-the-house pipe leak. Service was professional, courteous, informative, and I was gifted with extremely reasonable charges for an after 5 p.m. call. With the Angie's List coupon, I paid only the additional charge for parts. Jacob was helpful in giving guidance for follow-up issues with drying and replacing insulation. Have to say I am impressed with this experience.

This is my second experience using Absolute plumbing; and though no one looks forward to having to call a plumber, its a real comfortable feeling knowing that they are there to help should I need them.

The kitchen faucet was dripping, and had come loose from the base. I never was happy with it, so I decided to replace it with a new one. And, the flapper in the master bathroom had rotted from age, and the pull chain could no longer be attached to it. I decided to have the flappers in all three toilets replaced, while I had the plumbers here.They completed everything in record time. There was no time wasting talking on phones, etc. I was very impressed, and would definitely call on Absolute Plumbing again when the need arises.

Two perfect angels showed up to perform services. They determined all necessary work that needed to be done. Toilet is now working perfectly. Bathroom faucet is no longer dripping. They suggested I replace my dishwasher. When I do, I will definitely have this company install it. Excellent job guys!!!! Even Gunther (my dog) gave them his seal of approval!!!

We called them around 5:30 in the afternoon because the main line to the house was backed up. Jerry was extremely helpful and was able to get his guys out here by 6:30 to clear the line. Scott and Jacob came out and were friendly and very quick at fixing our issue. I was very impressed with the speed and professionalism of everyone involved. I would definitely use them again!

Overall, the work performed at my house was done in a professional manner. Recently, I had to call the company a second time (7/19/12). I was pleased with the information provided by Jacob and Scott. Without hesitation, I will use Abosulute Plumbing and Mechanical again.

Hot water broke on Saturday. Called Absolute at around 3 p.m., and they came immediately and had the repair completed by 5 p.m. Incredible service on any day, but particularly on a Saturday! My experience with contractors has not been good over the years. This was the best experience I've ever had with a contractor. The price seemed a little high, but didn't mind paying given it was a Saturday and they responded so promptly. Can't remember the name of the guy who came, but he was very professional and friendly.

We had a plumbing clog way down the plumbing line. We called Monday morning and they were out Monday afternoon. Right on time. The company's representatives were professional, clean, knowledgable and courteous. Most importantly, they had an attitude of 'we are not leaving until this problem is 100% addressed and every piece of pvc under the sink is put together properly and water tested'. My short answer is in the one year we have been in the Richmond area, these guys are shining stars!

We set an appointment and they showed up a little early! This was a good thing! They began immediately and the job was done in approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes. The only expense I incurred was the copper they had to replace, which was $45.00. They cleaned up their mess, took the old equipment away, and they were gone so I could go about my day within two hours. I strongly recommend this company and will use them again and again! If it weren't for Angie's List I would not have known about them.

It was more then I was hoping to spend but the repair should prevent future problems.

At first I was worried that they wouldn't be professional as both of them were young looking and didn't look like your typical plumbers, but they quickly instilled confidence by instantly identifying the brand and type of plumbing parts and explaining in detail the problem and the solution. They went straight to work and finished the whole job in less time than I expected. I am very happy with the work and would have them come out again.

After my call they set a time and day and came out. All the work was done and they were ultimately professional. I had to have them out twice because of the toilet issue but there was no charge for the second call. I am so happy with their work!

I am now a repeat customer. This is the second time I?ve had Absolute Plumbing & Mechanical come to my house to do plumbing work. As with the first time, I was very pleased with the quality of the work. The plumber, Rick, diagnosed the problem and provided me with several alternative solutions. I appreciate that I was offered realistic solutions and did not feel pressured to have work done that I hadn?t planned. For example, he said that he could get the handles off but because they were so corroded, he might mangle them. This made sense to me, so I had him replace everything and install an access panel, which now provides us and any future plumber with access to the plumbing inside the wall. Rick also offered to install ball valves. I didn't know what they were so I wouldn?t have asked, and I appreciated him telling me about these and the advantage to having them installed. I make the decision to have them installed so that the water could be turned off from inside the access panel from now on. I called my husband, who was at work, to confirm my plans with him and put Rick on the phone. Rick was very patient and explained everything again to my husband. After the decisions were made, Rick met his boss at the supply store, purchased the necessary materials, and returned to complete the job. I was so glad to have everything done in one afternoon. Rick even offered to paint the panel, which he did. He cleaned up the small mess at the end. Rick was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and did a great job. I will definitely use this company again in the future. I price included my 10% Angie?s List coupon.

Jacob and Scott arrived on time. I had planned to have them replace the fixture in the master bath shower but it would have required the removal of a mirror and making a hole in the wall. Jacob tried to replace it from the inside but could not. They were courteous and left each work site clean. I bought the two hour coupon for $99 and they had to stay an additional 45 minutes. They were very helpful in answering my questions. I would call them again and refer them to my friends.

Excellent! Found them and a 10% off coupon on Angie's List. I called them on the Tuesday morning after the memorial day weekend and explained the problem. They sent two plumbers out the same day - managed to squeeze me in late in the day. The team was fast, thorough and knowledgable. Altogether, they fixed two things in just aboutan hour. I will definitely use them again!

I called and made an appointment for 2-4pm in a few days. That day I waited and waited but no plumber .At 4:15 I called to find out what happened. I was told the plumbers were on an emergency call and they were still there. I made arrangements for them to be there at 7 am the next day. They were prompt and arrived at 7 . My biggest complaint was if they were going to be late, they could have called.

I called Absolute because they were rated well on Angie's List. I was having a leak in a shower. Water was leaking onto the floor every time the shower was used. Jacob & Brandon from Absolute came out and had a look. Jacob immediately saw that the relatively new shower installation had never been caulked correctly (a different company had installed the shower). Upon further closer examination, that seemed to definitely be the source of the leak. Jacob, very quickly, caulked it properly. He cleaned up everything and we were done. The whole visit probably only took 15 mins. Nice guys, nice & fair price. I would definitely call them again.

After the last service in December, when Absolute Plumbing repaired the sewage pipe outside the house (and did a great job), we were told that a collapsed sewage under the house could be eminent. So, when my tenants called about more drainage problems that seemed to be worse than before, we knew what would be coming and called Absolute Plumbing to help out. They came out right away on Friday afternoon and called later on to confirm the problem, explaining that they'd have to cut through the concrete floor to dig up the broken line, which they were planning to start on Monday. Monday afternoon I received a call with the report that they tried all day to break through the concrete, but concluded they would need to rent a jackhammer and the work might take until Friday, at a cost estimate of $5000. I asked if it was possible to cut through the wood living room floor instead and tie in to the main line through the outside. We agreed to do this instead. On Wednesday my husband drove up to Richmond to assess the damage and at 4PM that day the job seemed to be finished, except for reconnecting a waterline, which they said they would do on Friday. The same day we received a $5206.00 invoice. It surprised me to get an invoice that high, when they did not need to rent a $600 a day jackhammer and were finished two days earlier, so I asked for an itemized invoice. When I received that, I noticed they started billing me for Thursday, one day before I even called. When I checked with my tenants, I was told they were there on Friday for about one, at the most two hours, as was the case on Monday, when they tried breaking open the concrete with a hammer and chisel, and gave up after two hours. However, I was charged material fees of $465 for those two days and over $1000 labor, in addition to $90 service fee. I acknowledge that Tuesday and Wednesday full workdays were performed. But one of my issues is that I get no reply when I questioned the items on the bill. I emailed four times, I called and was told they would look at the bill again, but never received anything. I finally sent a certified letter, which has yet to be picked up. There is total silence on their side. In addition, the disconnected line was never reconnected, even after I emailed them about it. And when we came to patch up the floors, we discovered they (re-)connected a previously discarded old (open-ended) drainpipe, which threw out raw sewage under the house and soaking the bottom of the bathroom floor. If we had not discovered this, major problems would have been coming to us. We fixed these last two projects ourselves. This problem cost us two more trips up to Richmond.Closing, we still have not resolved our billing issues, although I have tried hard enough. REBUTTAL TO PROVIDER RESPONSE: An apology does not mean anything if nothing gets done to address the problem. I received a "corrected" invoice, in which the Thursday was removed by pushing the work up a day and cramping it into Tuesday, which became a day of, let's say...double work. Nothing else changed. The forgotten connection as well as the wrong connection are not mentioned, my question about what caused the high material costs on the first two days were also never explained. About my go-ahead: I was made to understand that the $5000 was supposed to cover two days of jack hammer rental -specified to cost $600 a day- and a job that would take all week. That was why I suggested to cut through the floor, logically assuming I would save at least the rental and two days of labor. I was expecting, when 5 days of work would cost around $5000, then 3 days should cost around $3000, especially when no rentals are needed and the job was left incomplete and wrongly-installed. When the company chooses to come with three trucks for a job in a very cramped space, it leaves me wondering: how many men does it take to change a light bulb?I have to come to the conclusion that the company just grabbed an amount out of thin air and fit that amount into the days it took them to do the job.

I make most of my purchase decisions based on reviews so when I needed plumbing work done and because of bad experiences with services in the past I decided to join Angie's List. I am so glad I did. I chose Absolute Plumbing based on reviews as well as a coupon and two delightful men showed up during the timeframe that was promised and did a professional and quick job. They even asked before leaving if I was satisfied. They will definitely go on my list of Favorites!

The men were professional, courteous and pleasant. Jerry has a great sense of humor and was nice to my cat!
