Tracy was reliable every step of the way from returning calls as she promised, to calling to say she would be late. She worked efficiently and was attentive to keeping the work area clean, which we really appreciate. She also inspected the operation of the gas logs and made adjustments. We are moving to a new house with 2 gas fireplaces and we will definitely call Williams Services again!

I contacted the provider and she gave me some tips to try before scheduling service. The tips worked and it cost $0! Really appreciate their providing the information.

It was excellent expect that they are so swamped, it is hard to get them ever out. In the summers, they are not so swamped, which is why they came. It is a husband and wife team and she does the services but if she can't get the darn fireplaces to work, she reads instructions and figures it out unlike me. She is very good.

Tracy and Daryl Williams were both very efficient and professional. I spoke with Tracy several times in order to set up an appointment for the service call. Tracy was thorough in finding out what services we needed and any specific problems we were experiencing and was able to quote a fair price over the telephone. She was right on top of things and called when problems due to weather etc. were anticipated in order to reschedule. I really appreciated that Williams Service valued my time enough to avoid last minute cancellations. Daryl Williams performed the service call. He was well organizaed, neat and he cleaned and checked the electrical connections as required and agreed to. He went out of his way to help us even further by fixing the trim on the outside of the fireplace that had been dislodged for some time. The price for the service was fair and reasonable and when I mentiioned that the Angie's List review page indicated that they offered a discount for seniors the price was further adjusted. From beginning to end the service was flawless so we recommend this company without hesitation or reservation and we intend to use them again for any future work.

History: I had a 10/12 year old natural gas insert w/remote start system and vented log configuration that needed replacement. E.g., logs turning to sand and remote not working, etc. Did some self on-line research and was not satisfied so decided to use "old" reliable Angie's list which has become my "Modus Operandi" way of ensuring I'm getting first class service. Found Williams Services, Inc. and liked what I read. Made call and talked with Ms. Williams who requested Picture of my fireplace which I sent via phone and she immediately responded with exactly what I wanted and needed. She directed me to JE Rice in Manassas, VA telling me to see a certain person and tell them the system info I wanted/needed. I bought new system with 40% better efficiency then old system and remote was much smaller and had capability to raise/lower flame as desire. Williams Service's picked system up day of installation. Very happy with Williams exceptional courtesy, knowledge and professionalism. First Class people and I will recommend them to all and use them again.

Completely vacuumed and cleaned gas fireplace, logs, equipment. Found out why not staying lit and working (loose wire). Gave price on replacement set of logs as do not make a part that may be needed in the future. Called before arriving, was on time, knew what she was doing and did a great job.

The technician diagnosed issue with gas fireplace - the pilot kept going out - and replaced the defective part. She took precautions to protect area around the hearth from damage/ dirt and cleaned thoroughly when she finished testing. She provided updates on her schedule. She had previously talked me through the lighting procedure over phone and refused to accept any payment. I would strongly recommend this firm and will use them again in the future.

Right from the start, this company was great to do business with. When I first called, I left a message with what I needed done. I really appreciated the detailed message letting me know the hours when they return calls. Tracy called me in a timely manner. She was very nice, professional and helpful. My first appointment was two weeks out which was fine with me. When there was a cancellation, Tracy called and was able to move me up a week. In the interim, she offered to help me over the phone to get my pilot lights re-lit - great customer service! Tracy came to my home today. She was prompt, efficient and told me more about my fireplaces than the original installer ever did! My fireplaces are clean, working and I am very happy! I will definitely use Williams Services again. Love doing business with customer service focused companies!

Tracy Williams came when promised and did an excellent and thorough job. She took the time to explain what she was doing and why.

I talked to two different companies who did not want to have the work inspected or done properly. However, he told me he would not do the work unless it was inspected which is why I hired him. He also worked for the gas company in Virginia and I was confident in his abilities. He did a good job and everything passed inspection. We were happy with the service and I have no complaints. His wife handled the admin side of the business and he and his son did the work.

I found Williams Services thru Angie's List. The experience with them was fabulous from beginning to end. Tracy Williams recommended a chimney cleaner (Leopold Chimney Sweep) and JE Rice Hardware Store for the gas logs. All three small businesses were superb. Tracy called first thing on the day of installation to let me know when she'd be here. She did a great job - fixed a leak in one of my valves. Even better, she explained what she was doing as she worked and gave me great advice on maintenance. Absolutely will use all them again.

Tracy was the person that I dealt with throughout the process, both initial contact and actually performing the service. She walked me through exactly what she was doing throughout, and when she was finished, the fireplace was at least as good as new. As long as they are in business, no one else will touch our fireplace if I can help it. This is the kind of quality service that you just dream about. Cost was exactly what Tracy estimated on the phone.

Everything went perfectly from beginning to end. Daryl inspected and measured, then gave me a quote for one or both fireplaces (we chose both). He educated us about the different types of gas fireplaces, about the size and brands of gas logs, and he answered all of our questions in detail. Tracy scheduled everything including the two required county inspections. On the first day of installation, Daryl had to run the gas line from the north end of the house up into the attic and down to the fireplaces on the south end. This required excavation and drilling brick-and-block to bring the gas line into the basement fireplace. On the second day a county inspector had to observe the pressure test. Following that, Daryl came back and installed the burners and gas logs. Throughout the process he was well organized and meticulously neat, cleaning up after each task. And now when we want a fire, we push a button on the remote control! I wish I had done this years ago. And I'm glad I chose Williams Services, found on Angie's List!

I just bought my home in July, and though I had a home inspection and I knew that the fireplace worked, my wife and I had no reason to use it until it recently started getting colder. Lucky for me the previous home owner had kept all the paperwork for the fireplace and it turns out that Williams did the initial fireplace conversion in 2007. So I called them to see if someone could come out and clean and inspect the unit, since I had no idea how often the previous owner did it (and to be honest, we didn't remember how to operate it). I sent them an email and within a few hours we were able to schedule a visit quick and easy. On the day of the service, they arrived on time, were professional, courteous, and efficient. The did a complete inspection and cleaning (it was pretty gunked up), and gave me a top to bottom explanation of how the unit worked and what I should do to ensure it stayed in great condition. Daryl and his son were fantastic, and I loved to be working with a small family owned company, rather than some huge corporation where you are just an account number. I will use Williams Services Inc. for all my fireplace and natural gas needs for as long as I own my home. Bravo!

We hired Williams Services based on the stellar reviews on Angie's List, which are well deserved. We were extremely impressed with their knowledge, professionalism, responsiveness, and quality of work. Regarding the latter, even the Arlington County inspector commented unsolicited about the excellence of Daryl Williams' installation. Additionally, when we were debating which gas logs to purchase, Tracy Williams was very helpful discussing the pros/cons of the models we were considering, and we made a much more informed purchase as a result. Both Daryl and Tracy's service was above and beyond. Potential customers should note, though, that the word is out about how great they are. Fortunately, we originally contacted them in early September, as they now are booked solid for most of the autumn. Frankly though, they're worth waiting for.

Got the estimate, sounded good, bought the gas logs. He got the permit (big plus, some contractors do not). Sweated his rear end off installing gas fire logs in the middle of summer for my wife. Went over EVERYTHING, explained EVERYTHING, how to do, what not to do. He was NOT a pushy salesman, for future service, ONLY RECOMMENDED that the first time call him up in a year from now, to watch what he does, and then you can do it yourself from now on, if so desired. He came highly recommended from JE Rice, where I got my gas logs. Even replace my gas mantels for my front yard light for free. Can not go wrong with this guy, he cares too much about his customers.

Job went great and they made it easy. Explained all the phases and were easy to work with. Showed me how to use and care instructions.

I live in a townhouse, so the gas meter was close to the fireplace. They came out and gave me an estimate. You pay for the work when it is done which is nice. If you order the logs from them they bring them or you can order logs yourself. They had the gas line installed in about 1-2 hours, much faster than I thought. They sealed eveything and even repainted my gas meter which was all rusty. Now I can use my basement in the winter! Will use them to service the gas logs in the future.

A great experience. They called ahead, checked in to verify the appointment, and were punctual in their arrival during the designated time slot. Expect complete work, you'll get it!

I turned off the pilot light on my gas fireplace a year or so ago and forgot all about it. Just recently I sold my home and the buyer had a home inspection done, the result of which was that I was asked to have the fireplace inspected and serviced to make sure that it was in proper working condition. I called Williams Services Inc. based on their Angie's List rating and I could not have been more pleased with the woman who came out to do the work. She was great! The fireplace is now operable.

Overall the experience was very good. She was professional and did her job in a timely fashion cleaning up after herself. I would definitely use this company again!
