Outstanding work. Prompt response by the general manager to request for estimate and because a technician would be in our neighborhood the next day the work was completed within 24 hours. The technician arrived on time, was very professional and pleasant, and did an excellent job. The shower looks brand new. I would recommend Grout Medic to anyone.

I emailed John Leishear, the general manager, asking if anything could be done about the problem. I never heard back.

This is my first review on Angie's List after using the service for years. I typically don't make time to write these, but I will make an exception for this company. George came out promptly, did the estimate, and Justin followed a few weeks later. He was tremendous. Extremely professional, and he really took time and effort to make sure the job was done right, and then some. He was on time, and went above and beyond in every single way. More than a technician, Justin knows what customers care about. I deal with a lot of contractors, a lot of companies and this experience was one that you'd hope to have. Fantastic job by Justin. I would not hestitate to call The Grout Medic for your grouting/caulking needs.

Horrible work, starting with the technician arriving more than 2 hours late. There is a cut from what looks like an exacto knife on my wall. All the tiles that were rerouted are loose and need to be redone. The grout work itsrlf was very sloppy looking. I am very disappointed that this work barely lasted 4 months. Update: This company has been sold to another owner, and after emailing the company, the new owner reached out to me and is sending someone to evaluate. I will continue to update, but am pleased with his responsiveness so far.

We upgraded our Master Bath 18 months ago and had to have the contractor replace the grouting after a few months. Within a few months the grout became dark with stain of mildew and we used the Grout Medic based upon reviews. We were not disappointed. The estimator arrived on time and provided a quick assessment (the grout had holes in it that allowed water to get behind the silicon and darken) and we had not used a PH-neutral cleaner on it. We scheduled the work, with a suggested darker color in part of the shower and clear in the area that had not darkened, and the person who removed and replaced the grout was punctual, professional and very helpful in suggesting where to use color and where not use clear grout. Price was little high, but that's because we were at the "minimum cost" for the work. That said, he did take his time (2 hours) and restored the shower to its original, pristine condition. Now I just hope we can keep it that way (with the suggested cleaning product the firm recommended).

The provider required an estimator to come out before providing service. After speaking, I realized they were probablynot going to be reasonable for the service required to repair grout on tile. I then wanted to just get a tub recaulked to use my voucher with no visit just the service done.. They still required a visit and would not provide any estimate over phone for a simple recaulk. The regrout the guy wanted a couple thousand to replace all tile. I subsequently hired someone else who provided the service for me. They then wanted $195.00 to recaulk one tub. I have not used the coupon yet because I feel defrauded. If you want a recaulk done for $195 and have two service calls then maybe ok.

They gave the most comprehensive bid, spelling out everything in detail. They scrapped out the old grout and caulk. They used silicone rubber around the glass wall and door. They also recaulked the bathroom sink using silicone. Everything was cleaned up when they finished. They said I would love the look and they were right. I am very pleased with the results. The shower now sparkles and they gave me instructions on how to maintain the area, as well as the name of a product to use.

George Collins, the General Manager, visited our home to give us an estimate. He was very professional about analyzing the problems and gave us a reasonable estimate for the repairs. On March 24, 2015 the technician arrived to do the work. The work took about 2 to 3 hours and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. The technician knew his job well, and the final result made us both very satisfied. I would highly recommend this firm to anyone needing these types of repairs, and in fact, we have already recommended them to some friends. Ollie Fowler

I called Grout Medic- Alexandria/Arlington and made an appointment to have my master bathroom shower and tub re-caulk. However, two days prior to the appointment I was called by the repairmen and asked if I could move the appointment from 5:00 o?clock to 4:00 o?clock; I agreed. However, the day before the appointment, I received an email confirming my appointment for 5:00 o?clock. I call the Grout Medic- Alexandria/Arlington office and spoke to Britt. Britt stated to disregard the new appointment time of 4:00 o?clock and the repairman will be there at 5:00. Needless to say the repairman showed up at 4:00 o?clock and left a wasted my time type voice mail. I call the office and spoke to Britt. Britt, seem to believe I was at fault since I spoke to the repairman and changed the time of the appointment. Especially, since the office wasn?t aware of the changes. Even though I spoke to Britt that morning to confirm the time of the appointment! Just poor communication on Grout Medic part, from the office to the repairman!

Very well. Spent nearly the entire day on the project; shower looks new. We got a number of estimates; Grout Medic was considerably less. Quality of work is first rate.

Service was great. They arrived on time, despite a snowstorm that canceled school, US gov't and many other offices. They were professional, and completed the entire project in a single day. They arrived with their tools, wore booties through the house, and worked away in the bathroom, only coming out for tools once or twice. Once done, they gave us complete tour of the work they did, a care guide, and answered all the questions we had. The bathroom looks great, and they even did an excellent job of cleaning up after the work.

They were great. Winter was crazy and we had to reschedule a few times due to snow on the driveway and they were super responsive to us about rescheduling because our driveway is not fun in the snow. We had an estimator come out and then we scheduled the work. After a few reschedules due to the snow, they came out and fixed all of the grout issues in the master bath shower. We had some pale grout that had turned into an almost fringe like substance that wasn't good to keep water out. They cleaned all of that out and reapplied clear grout there and in other parts of the shower where the grout and caulking had vanished. Then they fixed the caulking/grout on some of our tiles in the kitchen. They were fast, efficient, and courteous.

It went great. A team of two came out and looked at all 3 bathrooms. The grouting in one shower needed to be re-done, but the other 2 bath/showers only needed re-caulking. The person doing the work arrived timely and went straight to work. Once the work was completed they explained to me how to keep the caulking and grout from turning black (i.e. mold) and what was the best product to use to make it last. Very honest and professional.

2 men came and were professional and polite. The floor looks new again.

George came out within a day to give me an estimate. Very thorough and professional. Scheduled work to be done a few days later. Dante showed up on time and was very polite. He explained everything he was going to do before he started. The job was amazing. The shower was cleaner when he left than when he came. I would definitely use The Grout Medic in Manassas again. They said the grout sealing should last several years and the caulk should last 5 years with proper cleaning.

He was great. He was prompt. I would recommend him to a friend. There is nothing that he could have done differently. His professional demeanor and his knowledge are what stand out most to me. I ended up doing the work myself.

They did work in the shower. I would use them again and recommend them.

John promptly returned my call requesting an estimate and just as promptly scheduled an inspection. John arrived on time, closely inspected the bathroom, and answered all my questions. He quickly emailed me an estimate, which I approved. The work was scheduled to suit my convenience. The technician arrived on time. He was friendly, courteous, and respectful of my property. He completed his work ahead of schedule in a professional manner. Maintenance instructions were provided. Grout Medic lived up to their claim of " bringing your grout and tile back to life." The appearance of the shower/tub has been improved 100%. Grout Medic is very customer oriented. I would definitely use them again.

I contacted Grout Medic through Angie's List and John responded almost immediately. We set a time a few days later for him to come out and give me an estimate. He was prompt and thoroughly explained exactly what they were going to do (dig out the old grout by hand). Originally I was just going to have the grout in the shower replaced but he convinced me it made sense to do the whole bathroom for just a little more money. We were able to schedule someone to come do the work the next week. John said he would stop by during the day, and also emailed me in advance to confirm. Jeff showed up exactly on time on the day we had scheduled and got straight to work, and also made sure I understood how to maintain the shower. I had to leave to go to work, and I expected to come home to a beautiful new shower but a bit of a mess everywhere else since he warned me it would be extremely dusty. I was extremely pleasantly surprised that Jeff must have spent as much time cleaning up after himself as he did doing the work. Not only did the bathroom look great with beautiful new grout, but the bathroom and rest of the house was practically spotless. I really appreciated their effort to clean up. John followed up with an email afterwards explaining that he had stopped by during the day to check on the work. I find these guys extremely professional and responsive; the rare service provider that is good at both providing the service and also communicating with the customer. The price seemed good too, and I'm very happy with the result.

The workman was extremely late due to snow but the office kept in touch with me to advise me of his progress. The work was extremely well done and I would use this company again should the occasion arise. The tiles look like new.

First, very responsive. Schedule was flexible and arrived on time. They reviewed my project and realized it was another issue altogether so they recommended another contractor. High marks for honesty, and responsiveness.

We did not get the repair done. But the service was prompt, professional and reasonably priced. I would definitely use them in the future.
