The Grout Medic - Northern VA

The work went well. Mike is delightful. Helpful, clean and careful. My only concern is with the office. The office entered my contact info incorrectly. so I didn't get an estimate in writing. Also, the first appointment needed to be rescheduled which I didn't find out until I called The Grout Medic half an hour after they were due at my house. I do recommend Gout Medic, but suggest you contact them to confirm the appointment and get the estimate in writing.

I am so pleased with the job done on August 23 which was a recaulk tub surround. John did an excellent job and the tub looks great. The experience was positive from start to completion. I highly recommend Grout Medic and won't hesitate to use them again and will be recommending them to neighbors and friends.

We were very pleased with the work from Grout Medi!. They arrived as scheduled for the estimate and took the time to really understand the work. They asked for permission to pull up a loose tile to examine what was underneath which revealed rot and additional repair work. While this increased the price of their services over a competitive bid, I felt that they would be cheaper in the long run as I anticipated the other contractor would have identified the problem during the project and then tacked on additional costs doing the work when we weren't in a position to negotiate. The repair team showed up as scheduled each day. They were very professional, shared status, and asked questions as needed. They did discover another issue during the repair and presented a few options for repair as well as the risk/benefit of each. Overall, the work looks amazing! Our floors and shower looks brand new! Highly recommend!

George was a great source of information, and I received a date for the work to be completed before he left. Dennis and John worked on the project for several hours, and left the area spotless. George thoroughly explained the process and different options with associated costs so I could make an informed decision. I had his quote and a scheduled day for work before he left. Dennis was prompt and performed the work with professionalism. The bathroom looks brand new!

Grout medic did a great job of cleaning away the mold and mildew from our master shower and guest bath, plus they steam cleaned the kitchen tile grout plus the utility room and half bath. They then caulked the shower and tub areas and sealed the tiles, and grout. They made our grungy looking tiles and shower look like new again. It was amazing to see the difference. This was hard work and the crew of three spent over six hours working on our house. In the future we will do better at keeping our bathrooms and kitchen floor clean. We want them to stay new looking. The crew was prompt, professional and polite.

Excellently. Jason showed up promptly and professionally removed - without damaging surrounding tile - an improperly affixed soap dish and provided a new one to the correct specifications. Took care of an eyesore as we prepare to sell our house. There were other, higher rated tile companies on Angie's list, but, in reading through the reviews - especially the owner's replies - it was clear that the owner - in his responses to the few complaints - was someone who cared about his company's reputation; was someone we wanted to handle our problem.

Grout Medic had been recommended by a friend so I was pre-disposed to think favorably of their services. The first technician wanted to start with the easiest of the 3 jobs first which struck me as odd because then he would be tired by the time he reached the most complicated part of the job later in the day which in the end he did not finish in a satisfactory manner. I had to call the company back the next day to have the work completed. When the supervisor came back to take a look at what I believed to be incomplete work, he tried in an effort to convince me that the service was complete, to overtalk me in a very loud voice to the point that I had to leave the room and leave it up to my ever-patient husband and the new technician to have the work completed. In the end the work was completed as requested. .

One floor looks good, the other not so good (it is very old and we were warned it probably wouldn't get very clean). In the shower, the tech did a good job on caulking, but his grout repair missed several areas of cracked grout, including the area that had prompted us to have the repair done. When we pointed this out to him, he was very gracious about going back and fixing the neglected areas. So -- I'd recommend, but be sure you check the work before letting the tech leave.

The work they did was fine and they were very pleasant. The only issue was they were very messy and we had to clean up after them.

I am extremely pleased with the craftsmanship, professionalism, and punctuality of The Grout Medic. Everything went smoothly and they did excellent work. My shower looks great!

He punched a hole in the tile wall. He did not just tap the wall to check the tile.

The crew was very professional and did a thorough job. They communicated with us along the way to update their progress and sought our input on caulking colors.

I had a great experience with the Grout Medic! The owner came out and inspected the showers and gave a reasonable estimate on how best to proceed. The plan was to completely regrout one shower and deep clean the other. New caulking was also part of the work to be done. Jason came out and performed all the work. Before he even began, Jason identified an issue and offered workable solution. Several tiles were not firmly attached to the backer board which required them to be removed, and new backing material installed before tiles could be reattached. He completed all of the work that day despite the addition of this repair. I would definitely use the Grout Medic again and highly recommend them.

Jason and Joe were awesome! Not only did they do a superior job on all the contracted work, they identified cracks and gaps in our grout that we missed and could possibly cause water damage if left untreated. They didn't hesitate to patch those small areas while completing the other scheduled services even though the extra work wasn't on our ticket. You can tell they truly take personal responsibility and pride in their work. George provided us with tons of tile education to help us keep the results longer and Wanda had our backs from the office the entire time. It's nice to have professionals you can trust that treat your home with respect. We will definitely be calling the Grout Medic again for caulk and grout work in the basement bathroom next.

Excellent work, it looks great. Helped to sell our home

The job looks great, was done in the time predicted, and they cleaned up after work. They educated me on how to better care for grout and caulking and what products to use for cleaning. The price was fantastic compared to others we looked at. The only reason they got a 'b' was that I had thought they were entirely removing all the old grout and replacing, whereas it looks like they just took out the bad grout and sanded down the ok grout and then replaced the bad grout and resurfaced the ok grout. I don't think this effects the integrity of the job and I am confident that the resultant showers are not going to have any leaks. It all looks fantastic and I feel like it will last a long time.

Wonder. I can't really explain the look other than brand new. We are very pleased with the job. He only downside is scheduling. They seem to be pretty busy so we had to schedule about 3 weeks out but that still fit in to our bathroom refurb timeline.

George, the General Manager, provided a quick response to evaluate the work to be done, and explain same. Justin arrived promptly on the scheduled date and time. His work was neat and professional, and he proceeded to make the shower that I had almost given up on, look new again.
