Response from The Grout Medic - Northern VA
The service performed for member was actually caulk replacement in the master shower, and the work was done on Dec 12, 2013. We were called back in March of 2014, and went out to take a look at the caulk. There was a 2” section of caulk that was lifting up from the floor, which is typical of what we see when 100% silicone caulk has been scrubbed. All customers are provided with maintenance instructions as a follow up to the work we perform, and this customer was no exception. We advise to never scrub caulk. Regardless of the reason, our customers know that they can reach us at any time, and we stand behind our work. Not only did we replace the caulk in the 2” area that was lifting up, but we cut the caulk out, and replaced the caulk on the entire shower pan. I regret that the member feels that The Grout Medic is providing poor service, or that our “grout is not good”. As mentioned above, the service performed was re-caulking, and if properly cared for, caulk should last up to 5 years. We strive for 100% customer service, and as seen in our roughly 100 reviews with an A rating, the majority of our customers enjoy the service we provide. We have worked hard over the past seven years to build and maintain an excellent reputation, built on quality work and superior customer service and follow up. We have been awarded the Angie's List Super Service Award 4 years in a row, and hope to receive it again for 2014. I am sorry to hear this input from this member.
