This was the only that I found that specialized in cleaning grout. Other companies were carpet cleaners and added cleaning grout recently. They also offered free in-home estimate. Other companies either charged for this service or did not provide estimated before scheduling the work. The person came to give me the estimate a few weeks after the initial call. While in my home, he gave two prices: one to clean/seal the grout and the other to re-grout. He did not apply any pressure to sell me anything. He made some suggestions like re-caulking my shower and bath. They were able to schedule service within one week of me agreeing to their services. The technician was punctual, polite. They did a great job.

I found water damage behind the original tile of my shower. Grout Medic gave me a quote over the phone, then backed up that estimate by an in-person visit. Others quoted twice as much and tacked on options I didn't need. The Grout Medic was able to accommodate my having the shower floor replaced (by others) between demolition and tile install. They were able to schedule and get the work done quickly. Final result looks great!

After initial difficulty in contacting The Grout Medic (an e-mail to them finally got a response), David Muirhead, the owner of the Manassas franchise came to give an estimate. Thereafter, they were generally responsive. Initially, we contemplated only the first two jobs indicated above plus re-seating the existing bench, in two visits, for an estimate of $350. When the technical began the work, it became clear that the bench was damaged and needed to be replaced (est. $400 for item 3 above), and that a substantial amount of old grout should come out and be replaced (est. $450 for item 4 above--we supplied the tile). Scott, the technician who did the job seemed very experienced and did an excellent job (he'd been a tile specialist before joining The Grout Medic). The shower looks like new. (They accepted a $50 coupon that had been in a local ad mailer.)

After more than a week of trying (and failing) to remove excess grout from our self-installed brick floor, we called in the professionals: Buck from the Grout Medic came to our house, gave us an estimate, tested his equipment on an inconspicuous area to make sure it would work, and returned the next week to scrub the grout and restore our floor. Having tried to clean the grout ourselves, we know how difficult the task was. The cleaning process was intense -- took a lot of scrubbing and steaming -- but it looks great now and we're thrilled with how it turned out.

We had a fantastic experience with The Grout Medic - Alexandria. Buck Collins was courteous, prompt, and did an excellent job with the entire project. I would highly recommend re-grouting as an alternative to replacing tiles and Buck's company to do the work. We are so excited about our bathrooms - they look brand new with the new grout/caulk in!

Our master bath shower stall looked every bit of its 15 years. A majority of the grout was discolored and initially we thought it could be touched up. When we heard the Grout Medic's minimum charge is $350, we decided to pay $495 to have the whole shower re-grouted. We were pleased that we did because they did an outstanding job and even threw in the extra touch up work on the floor and the hall bath at no charge. The technician spent more than 5 hours at our home that day thoroughly removing the old grout and replacing it. The shower looks fantastic! We did have to call them back initially because the grouting on some of the lower tiles didn't look right. They came back and fixed it relatively quickly so we are very happy with their work. Although the price seemed high at first, after we saw how much work was involved we felt it was worth it not to have to do it ourselves.
