The representative that came to do the estimate was professional and efficient. The technician that did the work was on time and cleaned up all debris from working so that the rooms were as clean as before he started. I am happy with the services overall and would hire them again.

I called to set up an appt. for an estimate. I was given the date of 10/4 and a time of 9:00 am. David Muirhead showed up promptly at 9:00 and gave me the estimate of 250.00. I called and scheduled to have the work done on 10/18. Dante arrived on time and had the work done in 2 1/2 hours. Both David and Dante were polite and very professional. Dante was very neat and did not leave a trace of the material he removed in the shower. Upon leaving, Dante thanked me for my business which I really appreciated. I will be sure to call The Grout Medic for any other issues I any other problems I may have and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for their services.

Work was done quickly and professionally

I was closing on a condo in approximately one month and had been shopping around for grout cleaning services. I don't know much about grout or what exactly I needed. George called me back that day and he arranged a time to meet my realtor to do the estimate. The timing was great because his schedule was opening right when we were going to close. I was a bit shocked by the price, but knew I wanted the best because the previous homeowners clearly did not clean often and I can't stand an unsanitary bathroom. I read reviews of places like Stanley Steamer who were a fraction of the price, but the reviews indicated that they should stick to carpet cleaning. Charlie came right at 7:30 as promised and George also showed up for about 20 minutes to show me what they would be doing to the grout. It took about 2-3 hours, but now my bathroom is looking brand new!

In a word, transformative. When you buy an older home, you start with someone else's dirty floors. We put off renovating the bathrooms (still are) for the first eight years we've lived here but one morning I simply had it. The floors, the ceramic tile, even the showers were just nasty. I wouldn't stay at a hotel room that had bathrooms like ours, why live with it any longer? I saw the Angie's List coupon and called David, who was both on-time and a complete pro. He walked us through the whole process, how much time it would take, what they'd do, what it would cost, and when we'd get our bathrooms back. David also said, and I'll never forget this, "it will look like new." Yeah, right? Yes, it looks like new. Most of the contractors we've used have over-promised and under-delivered in some way. Either it takes double the time or 50% more of a budget to get what we really wanted. Not this time. Exactly as proposed, executed even better than we expected. This is a great company and I couldn't recommend them more. Now we need to find the Grout Medic of kitchen renovations. Any suggestions?

Came punctually at 7:30am and completed job about an hour ahead of the estimated time. Thoroughly cleaned up afterwards.

Overall experience was great. They are very specialized and know tile replacement backwards and forwards. I hired them due to their good rep on Angie's and they lived up to the hype.

I was very pleased with the quality of the work and the fact the franchise owner himself came out to our house to fit us in as a rush job. The floors looked so good I was sorry I didn't have this done before putting our house on the market.

Showed up on time. Did a great job - shower looks like new. Provided some great maintenance tips.

First appointment we scheduled the employee turned up very late and we cancelled. Second appointment was on time. Work was completed in a good amount of time and cleanup was great. Both the shower stall and the tub look brand new. Very happy with the work. A little costly but not unreasonable.

Grout Medic was very responsive and timely throughout the entire process. Originally, I called and spoke to Dana about grout and caulk problems I was having that were related to an on-going construction project. She was most helpful giving me information and advice, knowing that I was not in a position to hire them. Later, I called to get an estimate on caulking and resealing. George came out that same day, gave me an estimate and helped me pick out a color. (Unrelated to the project, at my request, he gave me advice on replacing my sink.) Charlie, who did the work, was also able to come out that same day. He was also very timely, friendly, and professional. He does outstanding work. Both George and Charlie gave me advice on products and cleaning. I did call back a week later with a concern - no problem, same day response. It turned out to be a cosmetic touch up. I have called back since then for additional information/clarification and again, they responded to me very quickly (within an hour). My experience with this company has been wonderful and I would definitely hire them again.

The owner, David, came to my home to assess the job and give me an estimate. He showed up right when he said he would and was very professional. He left me some information about The Grout Medic and didn't pressure me into making a decision about the service. I was pleasantly surprised by the cost and so I immediately scheduled to have the work done. The workers showed up when they said they would and politely introduced themselves and walked the areas with me, asking questions. They were careful about putting on those bootie shoes to protect my white carpeting. They were fairly quick in completing the work and asked me to inspect it before they left. It looked like they did a good job, so I paid them and they left. After a few days, I noticed a new area in the shower stall that needed regrouting. I was a bit disappointed because when they were at the house, I had asked them to look at all areas of the shower stall, not just the areas I pointed out. They said they did and that everything else was fine. I guess it was my fault for not pressing the issue, so I really can't blame them.

I had scheduled with Grout Medic to re-color and seal my grout because of their high ratings in Angie's List. I was also able to negotiate a good price based on an available "Big Deal". I had to call to reschedule at one point and they were very courteous. The technician arrived promptly as scheduled, worked quickly and did a beautiful job. He told me how to maintain the floor to keep the grout looking new. I will definitely use Grout Medic for my other bathrooms and my kitchen floor. I highly recommend them.

, This was a case of bait & switch price wise, in my opinion. Dave came to my house on 7-3-12 to give me an estimate. I had 2 cracked tiles and breaking grout. He told me they would replace the 2 tiles and an additional one that was sounding hollow adjacent to the broken ones. For this, the price would be $195.00. I agreed to the job. On 7-5-12 the installer arrived. He stated that I only needed to replace the 2 broken ones. Also that the grout color Dave had listed on the estimate was incorrect and that he would go to the local Home Depot to try and match the correct color. The installer was great, professional, neat, cleaning up the mess he created and was able to match the tiles with the new colored grout he purchased adequately. When he was finished, I questioned the price, expecting a substantial reduction, as he only replaced 2 rather than the 3 tiles in the original quote.He then informed me that the minimum charge had always been $200.00 and that he didn't understand why the original quote was $195.00. I told him that NEVER was a minimum discussed, and I was not pleased. He then called Dave to over the phone who agreed to a $10.00 reduction only. The installer also mentioned that he had had to purchase new grout..but since that was originally the owner's error I felt I was not responsible for that. I paid the $185.00 and stated I would tell Angie's List about my dissatisfaction with the price. The work was fine..the bait & switch price was not! I should have been informed if there was a minimum price and what that minimum was, prior to having the work contracted, so I could decide if that was acceptable. Sincerely, Elisa Carter

We've hired this company several times. As usual , we were well pleased from the estimate to the completion.

David Muirhead, as before, arrived on time and was very professional. He described the materials that would be used for my regrouting project. I have not used him yet but will do so when I have completed another home project.

David Muirhead showed up as scheduled for an estimate, and explained to me in detail what needed to be done to fix the problem and to prevent it in the future. The job was completed properly, as scheduled, for the quoted price.

On time, quick, professional. Up to date phone calls, name of professional (Dante) given prior to arrival. Used "booties" over shoes, cleaned up all debris.

It went well overall. They showed up on time, were professional and provided a timely estimate.

It went very well overall with one bump in the road. The initial scheduled appointment for the estimate was not kept. There was apparently some mix-up. This was a problem with the call center used by the company. Once this was corrected, and it was corrected quickly and easily, everything went smoothly. In fact, the estimator, franchise owner, came out to my home after normal hours to do the estimate. The lesson here is always call back to confirm the appointment the day of... The work was performed in my absence but I know from my management company that the contractor showed up on time and the work was performed in approximately 3 hours. I had been warned that there would be grout dust in the bathroom from the work and that they would do as much cleanup as they could when the work was finished. I was amazed at how little there was left for me to do. At most it was 15 minutes of wiping away dust residue on my counters etc. which undoubtably settled after the worker left. I just called in the payment information. It was nice that I was able to inspect the work done on a Friday and not have to make the payment until the following Monday. Clearly the company is confident in their work. Based on my minimal knowledge of home repairs, it seems to me that the confidence is justified. Assuming no issues or problems develop I will be happy to use this company if/when I need such services again.

First off, when David came by to do the estimate I was unable to get into the house with my key. It was a rental property and the tenant was not home. He agreed to wait about 20 minutes for the tenant to get home so he could give me an estimate. The first estimate was to replace the back wall, put in new insulation, a diverter wall and re-tile and grout. When JE came to do the job and took down the back wall he found live mold. He went out and got mold killer and treated the mold. It needed to be left open to dry so he came back on a Saturday to finish the job. The B in the puncuality is only because he got a flat tire on the way and was late. He also said the other wall should come down and be replaced. The job was finished on Saturday and the price never changed even though the scope of work did. JE somehow made adjustments to the other aspects of the job and did not have to raise the price.

It couldn't have gone better. I will certainly give this company the highest marks for professionalism and workmanship. Rare virtues in a sea of shoddy work and no pride in doing a job well done.
