We needed to have the bath/shower tile backing in one of our bathrooms re-done after seven tiles fell off the wall one day. Our house is 17 years old. The dry-wall and cement board behind the tile had to be cut out and replaced before the new tile could be put up. Since that had to be done, we thought we'd have the grout redone in all three bathrooms at the same time. I was honestly shocked at how perfect the work was when they finished. The tile looks like it's brand new. The workers came when they said they would and the estimated price remained the same. I would definitely use them again for any tile work we may need to have done.

They were great to provide an estimate and timing of install. They did a beautiful job and I was very pleased with the result.

I got an estimate from David Muirhead who came out and looked at the floor. The grout was very dirty in some places, but not in others. He was knowledgable and gave me advice on cleaning and improving the look of the floor. I decided to have the floor cleaned and color grout added -- this pushed the final price up even more in the very large area I needed cleaned. The grout cleaned up beautifully ( apparently it had been sealed previously ). ( The tile which has a rough surface- cleaned up well not like new because of the rough surface-- this wasn't the companys fault-- I would not use rough tile on a floor if I had a choice ). I had to choose a color for the grout which turned out to be a problem because what I choose was not as dark as I wanted when they tested it for me. This is where they were really great---- Dante started trying other colors they had on the truck ( they had already cleaned the floor and this problem was holding them up ) I knew I could not choose a color that wasn't right. They have to order color ahead so we had a big stumbling block. The crew called David and he came over with more samples. This stopped everything for about an hour. They worked and mixed colors to try and find what I wanted. We finally decided on something totally different and it worked out beautifully !!!!!! Everyone agreed that it looked better. I really appreciated their help and cooperation in finding the right choice even though it delayed things . We found two problem spot after the floor dried. I called and they came back and touched up. From the office staff to the crew to the owner, I was very pleased with the whole process-- they were cooperative and easy to deal with !!!!!! I would definately use them again

I could not have asked for a better outcome. The Techs matched the color of the original grout exactly but then gave me additional optional colors that would enhance the tile and cabinets even better. We went with a different color and it was absolutely beautiful. They did the entire kitchen, breakfast area, hallways, foyer and closets. When finished it looked like a brand new floor. They did a superb job cleaning up. Highly recommend.

Prompt response to my inquiry. Came to the house immediately, examined the situation and then came back to me later that day with a plan and cost estimate. He showed up on time to perform the work. It took exactly as long as he had anticipated and the final cost squared with the estimate. Also, he has a great personality, is very friendly, and easy to work with.

the work was done as part of selling a condo that had been rented by someone who didn't keep the bathroom in very good shape. Everything was dingy and dirty and looked terrible. The company addressed the tile, grouting, and bathtub. Their process cleaned and/or replaced the surfaces so they looked sparkling new - it was really astonishing how much better the bathroom looked when they were done. Incidentally, we got an offer the first day the condo was listed, and signed a contract within the week. I feel sure that this would not have happened if the bathroom's look hadn't been significantly improved!

It seemed a bit expensive but in the end it was money well spent. The bathrooms look fantastic! Staff was super courteous, professional and went the extra mile to make sure we were happy.

The staff arrived on time and performed the required work ensuring we would have one bathroom functional for our needs. A few months later there were two small places that required a repair. Once again, all work was done well and timely. I am very pleased that when we asked them to check on the areas that needed to be touched up, they were very happy to accommodate our needs. If needed, I would give them a call for any additional work that we needed to have done.

We'd highly recommend Grout Medic for tile repairs. We were very happy to be able to refurbish our period bathroom rather than demolish and remodel it. We bought a replacement ceramic vintage toilet paper holder from Community Forklift in Maryland and matching 4x4 tile from Home Depot for the repairs. The repair guy, Danny, did a great job taking out the broken tile without damaging others around it, and cutting and installing the new tile. We were particularly thrilled at being able to get the "new" toilet paper holder installed -- it looks like it has always been there. It's tricky to get the old one out when it's embedded in several inches of concrete in the wall but he did it! We are also happy with the way the grouted walls look - the new grout has really brightened up the room. The grout did get into some of the tiny scratches in our black tile and so those scratches are now more noticeable, but we plan to scrub at them with a toothbrush and get those out. The steam-cleaning of the floor did not do much to remove the limestone and rust stains that we were hoping to never see again, so that was disappointing. We also would have liked to have seen more of a clean-up after the job was done -- the room just off the bathroom got pretty dusty from tile and grout dust during the whole process, and the grout itself dripped on the toilet and air vent. We've had to spend time cleaning it all up, and it would have been nice if Grout Medic had taken care of that before they left. Their pricing seems a bit steep to us -- we have no problem with the $85 an hour they charge for the tile replacement, but their charges for re-grouting and steam-cleaning seem quite high.

Total professionalism and rapid response. Had no problem getting a quick estimate and service date. Two grout repairmen came out and completed the job in less than the quoted estimate of 5 hours. They explained how to care for the grout and caulking.

Although I had to exchange several emails with this company to get the work described accurately on the estimate (this may have been due in large part to the limited categories that the firm's estimating software contains), this did not affect the work. The firm arrived on time on the scheduled date, did the work well, and treated me with respect and courtesy. The work I engaged Grout Medic to do was to remove sealant, steam clean, and stain grout at slate floor in kitchen, steam clean, patch grout, and seal grout at slate floor in sunroom, and steam clean and seal grout at ceramic tile bathroom floor. When the job was estimated, we did not realize how difficult it would be to remove the existing sealant from the slate in the kitchen, so the job took much longer than the firm thought it would and the firm was able to complete only the kitchen and bathroom, not the sunroom. Nevertheless, the firm honored the price they had given me for those rooms and charged me only for the work actually accomplished. I really appreciate that the technician took the time to do the job right even though it was taking much longer than they'd anticipated. We discovered that the sunroom also has the difficult-to-remove sealant (we were not aware that sealant was on those tiles at the time of estimate), so the firm said that it couldn't honor the original price for the sunroom, but would have to charge double for that work. This is fair, but out of my budget range. I asked the firm if they could recommend a product that I could use to remove the sealant myself so that they could then come in and steam clean the sunroom for the original estimated price, and they agreed and took the time to research this and make a recommendation. I'll try cleaning off the sealant myself and rescheduling Grout Medic to do the steam cleaning.

We bought our house about a year ago. Both the Master Bathroom and our childrens bathroom needed some work. Our Master shower leaked when we used it. It was not a plumbing problem, but a grout problem. The bottom 3 or 4 rows of the shower, the grout had rotted out. It was a little tricky to see since some of the grout was still there, but if you barely touched it, the grout would fall out immediately. The Childrens bathroom was a little bit better, but was still missing some grout, and the caulking was terrible. Mold and rust was starting to show. There was an initial walk through and estimate given. This was free. The gentleman I met with was polite, on time, and very direct about what needed to be done. I could tell that he knew what he was talking about. (I had done some research on my own regarding grout). After assessing our needs, he talked me through the process of each shower. They were both the same process, and he got me on the calendar rather quickly. I believe the time between the estimate and the actual work was one week. He told me that they started early at 7:30am - and they were there RIGHT ON TIME. They workers were very pleasant and polite. I am a stay at home mom with 2 young kids, an I felt completely safe. They got to the bathroom and worked. They didn't waste anytime. They even brought their own vacuum cleaner to clean up the mess. The bathrooms were AMAZING. They looked like they were BRAND new! It was a little bit on the pricey side....but completely worth it. There was no need to re-do the bathroom at all, because new grout and caulking was really all it needed to look better. I would recommend new grout and caulking to anyone who was considering remodeling their bathroom. It's a brand new look for a much better price! Grout Medic was amazing. Their employees were professional and polite. The supervisor came BOTH days to check on the status of the project. I have no complaints whatsoever. Truly worth every penny.

Very happy with service. Dave/owner was very easy to work with. Jason/installer was a very hard worker and competent in his work. They also recaulked our other bathroom without an additional charge. Nice bonus and appreciated. I would highly recommend Grout Medic to our friends (as they were recommended to us by our neighbor). No complaints.

Overall, it was a very professional experience. The estimator was knowledgeable. He discussed short and long term solutions with me. They showed up at the scheduled time. The end result looks great and stopped the leaking in the shower.

The team of two Jason and Lee, arrived on time. They were polite. They explained what they would do and gave me options. Over a two-day project they completed the job, did thorough work and cleaning, did not make a mess, retiled shower and regrouted tub better than I expected, finished on time and thanked me. I was very impressed by no surprises, no delays and the quality of work.

They did a great job, got it done on time, and cleaned up after themselves.

George Collins, General Manager, was on time to conduct an estimate of the requested work. He also conducted estimates of other work that we may have been interested in the future, such as bathroom and kitchen floors. He was very detail-oriented and provided us itemized estimates. The next day, we contacted George via his cell phone to informed him that we would be interested in proceeding with the requested work (George just happened to be on the golf course and was dedicated enough to conduct business in the middle of pleasure)! George indicated he would send the person to conduct the work in a few days because he indicated another project was cancelled. Rudy then arrived to proceed with the work. He then explained everything that he was going to do. After the work was completed, he had me checked the work and asked if I had any questions. He then explained and provided me information on how the bathroom should be properly maintained and to minimize any mildew and mold from appearing. They are very customer oriented and work was conducted professionally!

Great- easy to get estimate, came on time to perform work.

Very punctual for each visit including the estimate and four seperate work days. On the first day they did the hall bath re-grouting, the tile replacements in the kitchen and foyer area, and the grout repair where needed in the kitchen and foyer. We waited several days to start the other bath re-tile so as not to be without a working shower. While we waited we noticed a couple spots in the foyer that were overlooked during the floor grout repair. I called and was told they would take care of it when they came back to do the master bathroom. The workers showed up as scheduled to start the master bath but did not have the right color grout to do the floor repair. They said they would bring it the next day (they were already scheduled to come back and finish the master bathroom). Next day - Master bath looks great but still no floor repair. (Forgot the grout). The workers said that Wanda would be in touch to reschedule the floor repair. Never heard from her. I sent David an email explaing the whole thing but never received a reply. Waited about two weeks then called and spoke to Wanda. She was very apologetic and scheduled me the next day. The crew showed up as promised and took care of the remaining repair. Obviously we had a small communication gap but otherwise I would recommend this company very highly. Most importantly - all work turned out very well and we are very pleased. Money well spent.
