The Grout Medic - Northern VA

The owner, arrived a day or two after I called to look at the problem loose tiles and give me an estimate, 195.00 I was relieved that the problem could be repaired and didn't have to be replaced. On May 23rd Oscar was scheduled to arrived between 11 and 12 - after his first job. He did not arrived until 1:30 so I guess the first job took longer than expected - no phone call to say he was delayed. He got right to work and did a very nice job. Can hardly tell that a repair was made. He was a very pleasant person to have in the house and aside from the late arrival, I was very happy I hired this company. Also, the final bill was 175.50 - a 10% discount for Angie's List members !!

Jason with the Grout Medic is a true professional. He showed up right on time, worked for 6 hours straight to complete the job, and cleaned up every speck of dust and tile remnants. He replaced the water-damaged board behind the tile, then did an expert tile replacement. He also replaced all the grout and caulk. My 30-year-old shower enclosure looks brand new. I can't wait for Grout Medic to come back to my house in two weeks to do the second bath.

Would not use this company. We had an estimate but as the man used his product in the MIDDLE of the floor to test it, I felt he was putting me in a position where I had to do something thereafter.....and told him so, upon which he said he would not work with me and left. Then I had to find another company and was very satisfied.

Oscar and Dennis were punctual, neat, efficient and professional. They wore protective coverings over their shoes, kept work area clean. Dennis noticed the replacement tiles that I had ordered were noticeably smaller than the original tiles. He was able to use leftover tiles I had from original job to complete the repair. Looks great. Cannot tell a repair has been made.

A very pleasant surprise. I'm generally expecting a high price and questionable quality from home improvement contractors. But the Grout Medic was excellent. They staggered their visits so we wouldn't be without both showers at the same time. They installed tile and suggested a design layout with accents that proved to be just the right touch. The regrouting and recaulking make a much bigger difference to the aesthetic appeal of the bathroom than I would have guessed. I would definitely use Grout Medic again.

I was preparing a 23-year-old condo to be used as a rental property and needed some work done in the master bathroom and kitchen. The Grout Medic rep came out and did an assessment of several options, including re-tiling vs. replacing the old grout with epoxy grout. He gave me the pros and cons of both options, which primarily boiled down to expense and time to complete. I felt like he was honest and up-front about all possibilities. Between their schedules and mine it was a challenge to find a time everyone would be available, but once the work was done I couldn't have been happier. The bathroom looked brand new, and I was sorry I had not done this work sooner. I will be using Grout Medic to do the same work in the bathrooms in my new home.

Went fine. Guy showed up on time and was professional. Cleaned some grout in the shower without stripping out old which would have been a more expensive job. We just wanted show ready for selling. Did fine in the shower and cleaned nicely. Redid caulking too and not bad there. Kitchen and bathroom done fine. Only hiccup was floor where vinyl met tub, the repair did not take and about a week later separated from the tub again. Oh yeah he repaired a piece of tile that had come loose. Excellent job there and got it better than it ever was

The Grout Medics called the same day I requested an appraisal. I arranged for the appraisal and David came and we went over where I wanted to have the tile work done. He was very professional and explained how the work would be done. He gave me a written estimate and prices for each service. Later that evening I received an email with the estimate again and the policies defined. I called and arranged a day for the services to be completed and the tech arrived right on time and went to work.He was professional and cleaned up after the work was completed. I was very pleased with the work done and will be calling Grout Medics again in the next couple months for more grout and tile work.

They arrived right on time, and worked efficiently without sacrificing any quality. When they were all done I couldn't believe how wonderful it looked.

The service as excellent. They made an older shower look brand new. They were on time and finished ahead of schedule leaving all work areas pristine. This is the second time I have used them and would strongly recommend them. George and Charlie are great.

This company did an excellent job --- from estimating the intial job, keeping in communication with me, and actually performing the service. Overall it was a small job, but the quality of workmanship and customer service were excellent! Highly recommended!

The work The Grout Medic did looks gorgeous. My wife loves it. It looks like it's brand new. The workers were excellent. They were very careful and kept everything clean. They used little footies and stuff. They did it in about four hours and everything went smooth. There were no problems.

Their minimum charge was $195 and I have one crack so they told me that I could probably fix it myself. I didn't use their service but they were very nice, pleasant and prompt.

He explained how busy his team was, but understood my time frame and worked to fit us in. I was very thankful for this. The next day he was able to squeeze us in in between other jobs and Charlie completed the work within the same week. He was even kind enough to spend his Saturday morning completing the work. Overall was incredibly impressed with the team's professionalism, willingness to make it work for us and the actual work product. My bathrooms sparkle like they never have. It's amazing what a simple grouting job can do to improve the look of a bathroom. I am very satisfied with the job George and Charlie did, will definitely recommend them and will use them again in the future.

I would like to thank George and the technician Charlie for doing a wonderful job on our bathroom. I was quoted nearly $5k by a home remodel company to re-do the entire bathroom but for 10% of the price, the tile shower was re-caulked and re-grouted. It looks brand-spanking new! I appreciate the quick service and the expertise that the company offered to us. You save us a fortune and we could not be happier! Great communication, wonderful company to do business with. Daughter's bathroom had a large corner chip (2-3") break off of the ceramic soap dish in the shower/tub tiled area. Not repairable. Checked Angie's List and found very positive reviews for The Grout Medic regarding tile repair. Called and was able to get an appointment within 2 days. Dave, the owner, arrived punctually for the appointment, took a look at the issue, and promptly gave me an extremely reasonable quote to remove the broken soap dish and replace with plain tile (I did not want to install another soap dish). He "threw in" recaulking the seals for the surface of the tub, to make it worth the money and to keep the seals working. Based on the very reasonable quote, I showed him the glass shower stall in the Master Bath that needed just a little attention, and he said it would be no problem to add that to the list, for yet another very reasonable cost. The scheduling person called me with a date 2.5 weeks out, but said she'd try to get us an appointment earlier, if possible. She called back the next day and had an opening for the next business day! Dante arrived on-time, with booties already over his shoes, and promptly got to work. He removed the broken soap dish, removed the adjacent tiles, and replaced 4 white, square tiles. Of course, today's tiles don't match those from 15 years ago, but Dante did his best. So we now have a 4-square area of bright white tiles amid the rest - but it looks like a very understated designer touch. He caulked around the top of the tub, then decided to do the stall wall corners, the tub/floor line, and around the fixtures. Beautiful. He showed me his work and I was very impressed. He then moved on to the Master Bath, and went right to work. He was done in about 45 minutes, and did an A+ job on the shower stall caulking, as well. Both jobs were completed in about 3 hours total. I am very impressed and will use The Grout Medic and will use them again in a heartbeat.

I called Grout Medic to request and appointment for an estimate for grouting and caulking work in my bathroom as I had a mold issue. George was very flexible about scheduling the estimate, showed up on time and advised me on the work that needed to be done to get rid of the mold in my tub. About a week later, a member of his staff showed up to complete the work, which included removing mold from a section of the wall under the tiles, regrouting all tiling in the bathroom (shower area and floor tiles) and recaulking. He showed up on time, was very personable and completed the job to my satisfaction. I would definitely call the Grout Medic again in the future.

They were very punctual, very knowledgeable, helpful and they solved my problem. I had a big gap in the grouting in one of my bathrooms. I would definitely recommend them for an estimate to see if they can help you out.

The president of the company came out, looked over the bathrooms and gave us an estimate and some dates the work could be done. The price was reasonable, they arrived when they said they would and did a very professional job. I would use them again and definitely recommend them.

With any repair work, I worry whether I will be satisfied with the end result. I was very pleased with the work and the bathroom looks great...looks brand new. The estimate I received was competitively priced and worth the money. We bought our house last year knowing there were several areas needing to be re-grouted..the master bath was the priority as the shower was leaking. Our shower no longer leaks, the bathroom looks great, and we are very pleased with the work. We will use this company again for our other projects.

They were great to work with, from the first call, to George coming to give an estimate things went smoothly. One worker arrived on time. He was neatly dressed and was driving a grout medic car. George arrived a few minutes later to make sure he was aware what needed to be done, and to answer any questions. He also checked on the progress during the work. Our shower and kitchen floor looks great. He was neat while working and cleaned up when finished. We were so pleased that they are coming back in June to steam clean the floor grout in two baths

They came on time, worked consistently, and finished in a timely manner. They did a quality job, and the bathrooms look lke new. They were polite and when we needed a touchup, they came right away, no questions.

This company was great to work with - from the time I emailed them to the time they left. Please see above for whole story. I only have good things to say about working with this company and their professionalism. We are in a serious time crunch to list our house and he was very honest about the work that needed to be done. If you can try to schedule earlier than we did but it was nice to have someone understand our predicament. I'd recommend them in a heartbeat
