Great! it looks brand new! money well spent...it looks terrific and i know i don't have to worry about water leakage for a long time, hopefully never...we also added grout sealer to keep down any moisture problems...Oscar arrived on time and worked about 6 hours...really did a great job and cleanup was great too. I will definitely use them again on my other bathrooms.

It went really well. I really liked the gentleman that came out to do the estimate, Daniel who did the work was very professional, and Wanda who manages the schedule is really friendly. The job was done really well, and we will call the Grout Medic again!

What a transformation!! Our bathroom is white subway tile from the 50s or 60s. It looked pretty good when we bought the house, but a few weeks later water was leaking into our basement. Re-grouting was such a perfect fix. It looks like a brand new shower and all the leaking has stopped. I had no idea how dingy the grout really was until we fixed the surround. I will have them come back to re-grout the rest of the tile and clean the tile floor. I can't wait!

The owner arrived on time for the estimate, explained the process and scheduled the service. On the day of service, the owner arrived on time, introduced the technician and walked him through the project. Afterwards, he explained best practices for maintaining the work and recommended cleaning products to use to extend the life of the caulk and grout (there was no hard sell--the company doesn't sell the products themselves, just recommends them based on their long experience). In the past I've treated caulking as a 1 to 2x a year task, which was annoying to schedule but dangerous to ignore, so I really appreciated their attention to education about maintenance, which may mean I'll need their services less often, but be much happier about hiring them for other jobs in the long run.

Our Master Bedroom has stone tile (polished travertine, I think) which is very difficult to clean properly. The shower is entirely enclosed and it has been hard for me to prevent the grout from getting mildew because I can't use any harsh chemicals or cleaners that would damage the stone tile. We were very pleased with Grout Medic services. I received a prompt response to my request for an estimate - George Collins came out within a week of my initial e-mail. He explained to me exactly what services were needed and why the materials used by Grout Medic would be especially suited for what we needed. Grout Medic removed all of the existing grout and caulk and replaced them with better grout (and silicone) that have mold resistant features. The technician, Charlie Evans, also explained to me how to properly care for the shower and gave me information about what cleaners and sealers are safe for the stone. He did a terrific job and the shower looks much better now. He was also very polite and professional and cleaned up after the project was completed.

We'd had the bathroom floor tiled 6 months previously, but that guy did an awful job. I suspect I could have done better if I had a tile cutter. Anyway, we called Grout Medic to fix it, and they immediately and accurately diagnosed the problems from examining the floor. They were a little expensive, but did the job perfectly. It's been almost 9 months and there hasn't been a single problem with the floor. Great work!

My experience with this company could not have been any better. The technician, Justin, came exactly at the time of the appointment and immediately went to work. In addition to dirty grout lines there was also old grout on the tiles which I had tried to get off without success, so this was the main job I wanted tackled. Justin set to work on it and asked me several times to check the work to see if it was satisfactory. His boss, George, also stopped by to check on the progress of the job. After Justin worked on the tiles for quite some time, the grout lines looked new and the tiles were much cleaner, but I could still discern old grout on the tiles that I knew would really show up again once the floor had traffic. I told Justin my concern and he showed me the large brush he had used to hand clean the tiles. I expressed that this is not what I envisioned the tiles would look like when the job was finished, so he told me he would stay until the job met my satisfaction (even if that meant staying until midnight.) He also called George who popped over again, they discussed the issue and Justin set to work using a smaller brush to get into the uneven surfaces better. Justin stayed and worked on the floor for about 8 hours...a job that they thought would take half that time. Bottom line...the tiles look fantastic!!! Like new and exactly as I envisioned them. I STRONGLY recommend this company and am already planning my next project for them.

recaulk toilet. Half Bath caulk along base and edges of floor and toilet. Kitchen counter top recaulk along top of splac blook and bottom of splash bloc. Basement bath floor install caulk along floor base and edges of toilet and floor.Foyer floor steam clean all grout, remove and replace grout around 5 tiles. clean and seal the floor, clean and restain grout in the foyer. The work was done beautifully. the team was on time, neat clean, and amazing quality. I have already recommended them to others.

Grout Medic did a great job. Scheduling was very easy, and office staff friendly and helpful. Very prompt technician installed caulking to seal the appropriate corners of our shower stall, as well as the outside base of the shower pan and the separate bathtub. Price was reasonable and exactly as estimated. (Nice discout for Angie's List members.) Will most definitely use Grout Medic again.

Michael and Freddy were on time and did an excellent job. I noticed that they spent a lot of time on the "prep" work, which is usually a good sign that the contractor isn't taking shortcuts. Definitely plan to use them again for future work.

They did a very nice job. They were very nic people, reliable, and they did a nice clean up.

Got a call right away from George to set up an estimate first and then the work date. They showed up on time and the workman was very professional and knowledgeable. He did a great job and George even came at the end of the job to make sure it was done right. I would highly recommend them.

Very good experience. Jason found a couple of small plumbing problems in the shower and when removing the toilet and was able to fix those for us. Will definitely use this team again!

David promptly responded for my request for an estimate. He suggested a total regrouting of my front foyer -- the grout was in bad shape, dirty, and evidently the wrong type for the tile we had installed. He gave me the option for just a cleaning or cleaning and color seal in the powder room. The technicians showed up on time, were thorough and did a superb job. The color seal changed the whole look of the powder room. The regrouting in the front foyer made the tile look like brand new without the hassle and cost of ripping up all of the tile. The regrouting was very messy but the technicians did a great job of cleaning everything up. I would recommend them and plan on having them back to do my other two bathrooms. Thank you for a job well done!

I was thoroughly impressed by both men. When I called to see if Grout Medic could provide a different sealing service, the lady on the phone promptly called me back with the information I needed. I would certainly use Grout Medic again in the future. I highly recommend them.

The Grout Medic of Alexandria provided exceptional service from the initial meeting with an estimate from George Collins until the job was completed. We had tile floors installed about 10 years ago in three bathrooms, foyer and the kitchen. At the time of initial installation no sealer was applied to the grout, this was a major error by the initial installer. The high traffic area, the kitchen, appeared to me to be hopeless due to excessive discoloration of the grout over 10 years of wear and tear. I fully expected to have to the kitchen re-grouted. The other rooms looked worn but not nearly to the degree of the kitchen. During the estimate George was confident that the kitchen grout could be easily restore with just their steam cleaning machine. I was skeptical about the ability to clean the 10 years of ground in dirt, and I was wrong. It was amazing to see the dirt easily come out of the grout with their steam cleaner, it used pure steam under low pressure with no chemicals added. When complete the kitchen tile looked almost as good as the day it was installed 10 years ago. Not to make the same mistake again, we had The Grout Medic seal the grout with colored sealer this time to help minimize the dirt build up. Throughout the installation George stopped by to ensure his team was doing a good job. The two installers he had were extremely professional and very informative on the myriad of questions I asked. They went over in detail how to maintain the tile floors and grouting for optimal appearance and durability. One very important fact I learned, all grout is not created equal. You can't treat shower tile grout the same as floor tile grout. Call an expert if you are considering working with grout cleaning, you will save a lot of money and frustration. At no time was there any high pressure sales or trying to sell me upgrades or additional products. In general, their pricing is excellent and it would be difficult to beat the work quality and professionalism of the team that I had do may work. I would strongly recommend The Grout Medic for any grout work you may need, they are excellent!

They did an outstanding job. The service was fantastic. They gave us an appraisal which we thought was very reasonable. They did great work. They came when they said they would. They did the work they said they would. I did find one piece that I was not sure what was going on after. I called them up, and they came right back and took care of that. The cosmetics are all great. The cost was around a thousand dollars, but because they are Angie’s List listed, there was a discount so we ended up paying some nine-hundred-some dollars. So, that was great. We are going to use them again. I would recommend them to anyone. The owner was actually the gentleman that came to do the appraisal, and we had a nice conversation. I am a home inspector so it was related to what he does. It was very helpful to me as well. He could do a couple of bathrooms in a few hours. He was very fast and proficient. He did four bathrooms over two days. Two of the bathrooms were being done, and then the other two we could use, and vice-versa. We have already been talking to him about what else and how often and that good stuff.

Very well. Contractors are sometimes late due to details of prior job and this is out of their control. I did have to call a few times to talk to someone, but it was great in the end.

We did not use this provider but David was on time and very professional. He brought several colors of caulk to make sure the colors were correct. The appointments were easy to make. I had gotten reminders thru my email of the appointment. And a follow up call to make sure everything went well.
