The estimator arrived on time, was extremely professional, and spent the necessary time to review the work needed. I requested a few changes to the quote once we received it - different style of railing, breaking out costs for three different projects, etc. Each time the office got back to me very quickly with an updated estimate. I decided to go with a different company because the other company seemed more knowledgeable about building code and what would be required. The price was very similar, and the knowledge shown by the other company was more reassuring.

It was a simple transaction. We put in our order, the railing was constructed and installed. It is high quality. Lawrence and Bina Giles worked with us, answering our questions, making adjustments to fit our budget and we couldn't be happier. I highly recommend Reliable Rails. I am delighted to have found a local, family-owned business which has provided high quality product and service.

Company was extremely responsive, returning my email on a Sunday. My railing had fallen down after one of the snow storms. I was expecting that the entire rail had to be replaced, but only the posts that go into the cement required replacing. The job was dones quickly and I was very happy with the results. The only caveat is that the replacement posts were not painted a glossy blacken to match the rest of the railing. I had only asked if they were going to be painted black and did not request the glossy finish. (So I would not fault the company for this.) Overall I would highly recommend Reliable Rails.

After much online research and several quotes, we selected Reliable to install iron railings on our interior stairs and an opening overlooking stairs to the basement. Lawrence and Bina at Reliable were very responsive to our inquiry, completely professional, and a pleasure to work with. Reliable offered a ballpark estimate immediately over email (always helpful), then when we followed up after hearing good things about them from others. They came out to do a proper estimate. They took exact measures of the space (which was somewhat unconventional) and provided a quote. The price was not the cheapest we received, but it was reasonable and we were confident that they would be easy to work with and do a good job. They came back out to make a mold a few weeks later, and then again contacted us after the iron railing had been manufactured and were ready for installation. They were slightly late for the installation (9am instead of 7:30am), but this was evidently due to traffic. The final installation took about two hours. The railings look good and fit perfectly. We are very happy with Reliable's work and would gladly work with them again or recommend them to others.

Reliable rails installed beautiful railings. They came on a snow day, set up without much muss or fuss, and got the job done quickly and professionally. I would use them again.

Rental regulations required that we replace the lock of the basement security gate to with a thumb lock. Unfortunately that would defeat the purpose of the gate as it was because an intruder could easily reach in and unlock it. We contacted Reliable Rails to request an estimate for installing an iron screen--preventing intruders from reaching through. While they were here, we thought we'd finally have our front gate repaired. Honestly, we did not get any other estimates so I am not sure how their prices compare. It was expensive but I think that all iron work likely will be. Bina and Lawrence - the owners - are an excellent husband and wife team. They were very pleasant to work with through the scheduling, estimating, and billing process. Their crew were equally great. Very nice people who left the site clean and performed excellent work. There was a SNAFU that wasn't noticed until after the initial installation - which in all honesty was probably my fault. Lawrence did not ask any questions, he just sent the same crew out to fix the situation. Who once again were very friendly despite the situation. I would definitely call on Reliable Rails if I ever need iron work done again.

They did what they said they would do, gave me the same design as my neighbors. They also cleaned up very well, no debris left behind.

WOW - they did an awesome job and everything was perfect - I can't say enough about everyone from Lawrence, the office and the guy who did the install - all professionals - custom made and great installation - I am sure I will use them again in the future. Highly recommend - the best

I can only say good things about my experience with Reliable Rails starting with Bina who answered the phone to schedule my initial appointment to meeting with Lawrence, her husband who came out to the property multiple times because I continually changed my mind on the scope of work. On my initial contact with Bina I explained that a tree had hit my house and I not only needed new railing but also needed fencing, roof repairs, chimney and siding work. Bina immediately pulled out her list of contractors and cheerfully gave me referrals for additional work I needed performed. I think I about drove the two of them nuts every time I would see a new idea on the internet and wanted to make a change, but in the end Lawrence made recommendations and I stuck with his suggestions, and I am sure glad I did. The job turned out beautifully; actually better than I could have expected. He made the house look better than it was before the accident. So in my opinion they get a 10+ rating!!! Communication was friendly and I felt very comfortable with the estimate. I had another estimate which was similar but they wanted to take the railings off to the shop for 1 or 2 weeks. Reliable Railings did the work on-site in a few hours. Now we have steady, safe railings. Thank you.

They sent someone to look at it for free, then emailed an estimate. This was done in a timely manner. The problem was the email estimate contained cost to repair the railing and to replace the railing. When I questioned what they recommended, they first they told me they recommended it be replaced, then someone else sent an email saying the were proposing the repair only. As it turned out, I found someone else to do the repair work for half the price they proposed and went with the other party.

The rail is perfect! One might think that a rail is just a rail. Not so. I'm so glad I selected Reliable Rails. The rail is beautiful and well made. Great job!! I was initially concerned about where this rail was going to be placed since our stairs weren't made where a rail would look appropriate. Lawrence was terrific in guiding me as to where it should be installed due our special need for the rail, helping me select a color, describing how the rail would be installed, etc. He's truly a professional and very personable. The installer was also terrific, and was so patient with all my little questions. I find that quality to be very important with selecting and working with any type of contractor. I would be remiss if I didn't mention Bina, Lawrence's wife. I had to reschedule the installation a number of times and she was so very nice. If I ever need another rail, I wouldn't consider using anyone other than Reliable Rails. I highly recommend them.

Lawrence is a pleasant, friendly pro. Prompt response when first contacted, quick assessment of whether old rails could be used (which they could not because slope of brick edges of newly replaced front stoop was different from what was removed by the mason), and quick, accurate measurement of what would be needed to replace the old rails, very fair price estimated, set time for their manufacture and installation (two weeks), good communication, and kept to schedule. Results are excellent.

The owner came out to give me an estimate on both new rails and the repair of the old rails. I had an estimate by e-mail within 2 days. After talking with Bina I decided to go with the new rails as the cost difference was not significant. I was able to use a credit Card and the paper work was done by e-mail. It was a very positive experience from beginning to end. The rails look great! I highly recommend this company.

Just as agreed. The work was done in a timely fashion, with skilled people and in a a respectful manner. Would do business with this company again.

The most important thing is they were always in contact and they were fast ! I didn't need to be home

Lawrence did the estimate on a Saturday and the rail was installed days later. Couldn't have asked for better service. I had only a general idea of what I wanted and I was on travel when the rail was installed, but the process and end result was flawless. I communicated several times with Lawrence over email during installation, and he was extremely responsive. Kudos for a job well done.

I knew when I first spoke to Bina that this was going to be a good experience. Then, when I met Lawrence to go over the design of my new railings, I knew the product was going to be top notch. And I was right on both counts. My designer (and dear friend, Susan Wilkins) came up with this contemporary design for the stair rails in my new house in the Chevy Chase area in Washington, DC. Lawrence and his team of experienced and talented welders created these beautiful railings that truly enhance the contemporary feel of my house. I highly recommend Reliable Rails.

I thought their price was very good. I got other estimates from Angie’s List, and they were the best. I would use them again in the future.

I made the appointment within a couple of days of calling. Was give an estimate by e-mail the next day. The estimate was not cheap, but seemed reasonable to me for the amount of work required. The work was delayed about four days due to rain. They came and did the work at the first dry spell. They were pleasant, efficient, and did an excellent job I am completely satisfied.

This was a great experience! The customer service could not have been better, and the work was completed much more quickly than I expected. Paying by phone/email was a nice convenience. I called on a Friday and Bina told me that they'd come out early the next week to do an estimate. She let me know that because everything was outside, I wouldn't need to be home for the estimate or the work. On Saturday morning, they stopped by to do the estimate. I wasn't home, so they left a business card, letting me know that they had been there. On Sunday afternoon, i received the estimate by mail - $950 to repair and repaint my wrought iron railings. On Monday, I called to authorize the work and make a down-payment of half the total cost. On Tuesday morning, as I was leaving for work, they arrived to start the project. By the time I got home on Tuesday, the work was completed, and I had a "wet paint" sign on the steps. Wednesday morning, I received the final invoice and made the final payment. I really don't know if the price was competitive, because I didn't get other estimates. Based on other reviewers comments', i decided to go ahead with Reliable Rails, and I'm glad that I did - this was such an easy home repair experience.

We were not able to do the project, but would have hired this company.

It was an extremely good experience, especially since we were working part-time there and part-time in Florida. The communication was so good it didn't make a difference. The gentleman was so professional and did a beautiful job in fixing the cement stairs that came down in front of our home, and there were a lot of them. He made our stair rails and everything.
