Prospect Hardwood Flooring

After a leaking pipe we had to replace the flooring in our kitchen, and opted to also do the other ground floor rooms to match. Prospect Hardwood Flooring were fantastic to deal with from beginning to end. Mike arrived on time, gave us a competitive estimate, with an option for sub flooring that might be necessary given the mess of different layers of lino that turned out to be under our flooring. We had a few questions about replacing the baseboards etc, which he promptly answered by email. Polly in the office kept us updated on the scheduling etc. The sub floor turned out to be unnecessary as the crew went the extra mile on the demo work. The work took 3 days; the third day was a major winter storm, horrible driving conditions, schools etc closed, so my wife and I were at home - but the crew still arrived right on time and finished the job. My experience with Prospect exceeded my expectations...100%. Started with the estimate...my intitial meeting with Mike Blot was efficient, and he was transparent about scope, timing and cost. All I had to do was choose the board ... and it helped that the distributor gave him a strong recommendation. The work crew was equally amazing. Fast, efficient, courteous, and professional. Our job involved both installing hardwood flooring, and refinishing existing hardwood flooring. We had a great experience with Prospect Hardwood Flooring. They provided us with great customer service throughout the experience -- from the first contact, through the final inspection. Mike was prompt and engaging during the initial estimate process, and provided us with all the information we asked for. Then Jodi and Polly were both great at keeping us updated with daily check-in calls, informing us of status & progress, and providing instructions. We have lived in this area for nearly 10 years, and have had lots of contractors doing various work on our home over that time. I can tell you, without a doubt, that Mike, Jodi, and their team at Prospect Hardwood Flooring are the best we have seen! We would not hesitate to use their company again, and would highly recommend them to others seeking a flooring service!

Second time we used them! The work went as described and employees were timely, professional and did a great job. We needed some post work touch up. Within days we had employees arrive timely and touched up the work, and we are great!

Went extremely well. Prospect staff explained in detail how the work would be done and the time required. Two different crews performed the work on three successive days; they arrived on time and completed their work promptly and efficiently. We are very pleased with the results; the floors look great! They followed up with a call to inquire how the floors looked and to advise us about cleaning them. All of their service was great. We would recommend this company to anyone.

They were very flexible in working with our kitchen contractor to get the job done at the appropriate time needed for the kitchen remodel. The floor looks great! We will use them later to refinish floors upstairs.

An outstanding company to work with. They provide great value for the money. Workers were very polite and were in perpetual motion on the job. No wasted time. They always arrived on time and stayed as long as necessary to complete the plan for the day. Jodi, their office manager, kept in daily contact with us and provided daily updates on the next day's plan. Both Mike and Jodi provided outstanding customer service in all aspects of the job. The end result was outstanding workmanship in installing wood floors throughout four rooms of our first floor. Also included was refinishing the wood stairs, newels and rails of our stairway leading to the second floor. The entire project was completed in the time promised. Needless to say, we are extremely satisfied customers.

A very good experience, as Mike gave me a quote and we set up a date for the work the same day he came to give the estimate. The workers worked steadily and moved the furniture for us. The job took two days, as expected, even with a snow storm.

Excellent experience! Mike gave us an estimate when he came out whereas other companies we called said it would be 24-48 hours for a cost estimate to be given. The crew who came was on time and worked tirelessly the first day (10 hrs), showed up on time the second day to complete the job. They returned the third day to replace all the furniture. The crew was very professional, friendly and very polite. We would definitely recommend Prospect Flooring to anyone.

Prospect is amazing. The results were stunning. We had no idea the floors under the carpet could be so beautiful. The best thing was they promised to be done in four days and they were, including replacing the furniture. No leftover cleanup, Prospect only does hardwood floors and really know how to do floors and stairs. When we asked for an estimate, Mike had worked in our neighborhood for many years and already knew our floor construction and was very specific about the work to be done. The flooring team arrived and were totally organized and professional They carefully moved the furniture, including the piano, out of the way. They covered the entrances with drop cloths. They sanded down the existing finish and replaced it with a new color, sealer, and lacquer. Then they added new quarter-round molding. We moved into a hotel for the four days since they were doing the bedroom and living room. This is recommended since the fumes can be very strong. Fortunately, it was still warm outside so we could open the windows. We are very happy with the 'new' hardwood floors. Bottom line: on time, on budget, no mess - Prospect is highly recommended.

I am very happy with my recent hardwood floor installation by Prospect, and I set a very high bar for any 3rd parties that I work with. I chose Prospect because of their Angie’s List Super Service award and consistently great reviews and I was not disappointed. Jodi was especially helpful in organizing multiple aspects of the project and always stayed closely in touch (she called within 1 hour of my request for an estimate!). The installers did a wonderful job, moved furniture as needed, worked an extra long day to complete the job in 1 day, and were very respectful with my home. I noticed a few small issues several days after the installation; Jodi and Mike were able to get me help right away with all issues fixed to my satisfaction within 1 day. I will be working with Prospect in the future to have more sections of my home updated to hardwood.

The project took 4 days to complete and each evening I got a call from Jodi to ask how the days' work went and did I have any questions or concerns. This company was referred to me by a neighbors' friend, who had never used them, but had heard they do a great job. I have to say, from the time of the estimate with Mike, to the finished project, the company was terrific. We had the entire downstairs oak floors refinished in two phases over about a week. The work crews were always on time and pleasant, Jodi from the office staff called everyday to let me know what was happening the following day and Mike was very responsive to any questions I had. In fact, I noticed a small area of the living room floor that just didn't look right, Mike came by to see it, and had a guy come that day to make it right. I would highly recommend this company. jps
